2.3I guess this is the beer I’ve been consuming most before mikro beers entered my mind. Cheapest beer in my store. 89 cents. Still works with a football game. Not much taste, aroma reminds you of the local drunks. Nothing extra but sometimes it causes great nostalgia.
1.7Pours golden with a small head. Malty aroma. Taste is mostly malty with bread and a hint of slightly metallic hoppy notes. Soft co2. Mild, watery and rather tasteless. Just another bulk lage. (0,33l can)
1.9Golden beer, typical looking lager. Aroma is a bit roasty, malty. Taste is also roasty, which I don’t remember sensing from other lagers. Also has some bitterness in taste. Good for parties, just like any lager, but in my opinion this is maybe the best Finnish bulk lager.
1.733cl can from supermarket. Amber colour, pours with white head but it quickly diminishes. Soft carbonation. Bready malty taste. Watery. Small bitterness in the end. About average for basic supermarket lager, which isn’t much.
0.7Draught. Awful beer. Or your typical big brewery lager. Taste is watery and very slightly bitter-ish.
1.6Tap @ Hartwall arena. Lame basic finnish market lager. Metallic and harsh taste, especially from a can. Maybe a bit better from tap though. Malty, grainy.
2.4Tastes like a normal average lager with a nice malty fullness and slightly hoppy bitterness, it has nevertheless a good history. The crest on the label depicts a Swedish sword raised and ready to strike against an opposing Russian saber. In 1968, it was the Soviet ambassador in Finland who asked the Finnish Government to prohibit the label, as he believed that caused a misunderstanding to the Finnish war which took place in the early 1800s. It gave Hartwall brewery a lot of pressure and especially the residents of the eastern part of Finland took Karjala to themselves as the preferred brand and sales increased enormously. Prohibition was never implemented and Karjala ’s label remained unchanged. Hop bitterness is probably a little more refined and soft than the usual lagers and it makes it easy todrink and very mouthwatering. Lovely lager.
2.6Clear golden liquid with frothy head. Aroma of hay, caramel. Taste of hay and caramel. medium sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly sour. Palate: light body, thin feel, average carbonation, long finish,
2.3Basic lager. Clear golden. Malty. Nothing special. Nothing especially disturbing.

1.918.10.2014. Pours golden with white head. Aroma and taste have some grain, metal, light malts and hops.
2.0A regular lager to go along with a meal with friends. Not much to point out on a rather simple beer.
1.4Tap/Can/Bottle - Quite a disappointment in all of the cases. Rather thin and watery, and unfortunately when enjoyed locally is just not worth it at all.
1.6Lame basic finnish market lager. Metallic and harsh taste, especially from a can. Maybe a bit better from tap though. Malty, grainy.
1.9On tap. Clear golden with white head. Smell is mild hay and malt. Taste is sweet malt with some light bitter hops. Semi dry.
2.5Aroma of hay, very mild. Pale golden color with tiny head. Medium bitter. Soft carbonation.
2.5Can, 4.5%. Refreshing and grainy aroma. Clear dark golden colour. Big stable white head. The flavour is nicely bready with a mild bitterness and a good dusty finish.
3.3Bottle. Nice head, amber color. Aroma of caramel. Taste is sweet. Easy drinking lager. No hops in sweet aftertaste. It would be very good south beer, but it's from Finland.
4.0Just great beer, my absolute all time favorite! Not too light not too dark.
2.2Aroma is grainy, malty, sweet.
Flavor has caramel malt, just a little bitter, thin.
2.4Actually a pretty nicely balanced and sweetened Finnish lager. As said pretty sweet, like Ringnes pilsner, but heavier and more tasty. Definetely gonna buy this again!
1.8På flaska @ Cindirella. Ljust bärnstensfärgad utan skum. Hittar varken smak eller lukt . Finsk fulöl eller....
1.7Flaska@Cinderella. Bärnstensfärgad vätska med småvitt skum. Jolmig, sädig lukt. Sötma och gissa vad...Jolmig smak. Ett riktigt bottennapp..
2.2Can. A golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of malt, grain, and brewing cereal. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, brewing cereal, and straw, leading to a bitter finish.
2.633 cl can, 4.5%. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is toasted malty, light cornish. Bitter, light sweet and cornish. Medium dry and cornish finish.
1.60.33 can. Gold color; small, white head on top. Typical pale lager aroma: grass, cereals, hay, some faint malts. Taste is also rather hackneyed; bread, cereals, a touch of hops and malts. Light body, thin texture and soft carbonation. Finish is just as standard as the rest, nothing distinguishing, a tad of alcohol with faint malts. Overall the beer is as typical as you can imagine, slightly on the malty side but that’s about it.
1.0330ml bottle. Pours with a golden colour and medium white head. The aroma consists of malts and the taste is moderately sweet with a mildly bitter finish. The beer is light-bodied and has a thin/watery texture and soft carbonation. Good example of a bad supermarket lager.
1.8330ml bottle, deep clear gold colour, medium soapy white head. Aroma of grass and cereal with notes of nuts and hay. Taste is on the malty side, relatively robust body for the style, would rank as medium generally still, abrupt bittersweet finish. Rather archetypical Finnish supermarket lager except for a somewhat fuller body and didn’t notice any excessive starchiness which is also a plus.
