2.8 on tap at the Times Square brewpub; cear, gold color; light, mildly fruity malt aroma; a very light beer; light malt flavor; crisp and refreshing, though a bit lacking in any depth or complexity
3.1 surprised at the low marks...great for the style...decent overall. very smooth, crisp, nose and taste of sweet flaked corn, creamy body and aftertaste. quite quaffable."
2.7 Light, pale, and a very basic beer. Not too much in addition to the pale malts, wheat, straw, and grass.
2.6 Bona cervesa, bastant equilibrada i gustosa. Buena cerveza, bastante equilibrada y sabrosa.
2.5 On tap. Tasted pretty sweet, but not in a macro lager corn water taste. It was very light malt and wheat taste. Had a very light mouth feel, and very easy to chug down. It was in my sampler so I had to try it. Not bad for a lager.
2.3 5oz sampler from the brewpub NYC. Pours a clear light gold color with a small foamy white head. Aroma of light citrus and grain. Taste of light citrus, grain, and corn.
2.6 Draft. Pours pale gold with white head. Nose and taste of straw, cereal grain and light corn. Lighter medium bodied. Touch of pine.
2.6 Tap at Heartland, Union Square, 24/11/13. Clear light golden with a thinnish off white covering. Nose is on the thin side, light cereals, paper, grass. Taste comprises straw, light sugar, vague citrus appeal, caramel. Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation, crisp closure. Mediocre lager - a little too sweet all told.
3.0 Ljusgul pilsner färgad! Inte mycket doft eller smak! Men lite majs söt och lite krispig och lättdrucken!
1.7 Pours a pale yellow. Has a light pale ale aroma of malt and corn. Has a heavy malt and light corn taste with some bitter malt aftertaste.
2.6 27.06.2013, tap @ Heartland Brewery & Rotisserie NY: Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly fruity, light malts, citrus, corn, hay, yeast, winegum. Taste is slightly sweet, light malts, hay, corn, citrus, cereal. Little bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Fair enough.
1.1 I give this a two star rating because it IS a very pale lager as it claims to be. However, there is no distinguishable taste (a mild corn note and not much else) and it is incredibly dry. Just a "bleh" beer overall.
3.6 Draught at Heartland Brewery (Empire State Building) NYC sept 2012. Clear golden beer with a small offwhite head. Hoppy, toffee and vanilla aroma. Hoppy and toffee, sweet and fruity flavour.
2.7 [keg, Heartland Brewpub, New York City] Clear golden pour, small white, bubbly head. Aroma of corn, predominantly. Slightly musty. Taste is decent at first, but the maize comes over on the finish – true to the style, but not for me [24112012]
2.3 Tap Sample at the Union Square location. Clear deep straw color with a minimal head. Almost no aroma what so ever. Some sulfur, faint earthy hops and bread. Clean malty flavor, grassy hops that give lo-med bitterness and mellow tannins. Light, easy to drink, dry, effervescent.
3.1 Clear color, nice head. Verry refreshing taste. Good beer for hot humide summer days.
2.8 Draught at Heartland, NYC. Clear golden - white head. Caramel. Toasted. Light busquit grainy. Hay notes. Light citrus hoppy. Plain malty.
3.0 On draft at the south street seaport location. Clear golden color with a light head. Corn With a nice light bitterness. Crisp. Enjoyable.
2.9 Notes from 2008 NY visit. Colour is clear amber, white head. Nose is sweet bread, grainy malt. taste is fairly standard malty lager. Nose getting any sweetcorn. Crisp and light.
3.0 Draught at Heartland (Empire State Building, NYC), on January 30, 2012 Clear golden to amber color, white head. Butterscotch, malty taste. Moussy mouthfeel, low bitterness. Sweet, malty, butterscotch scent.
2.6 On tap. Pours with a crystal clear golden yellow hue with a small white head that leaves some lace. Aromas are sweet, corn, DMS, husky, grainy, sweet, bready, sulfur. Mostly clean other than that. Flavors are bready, a bit nutty, mild DMS, light citrus, herbal hop. Hazelnut. Pretty bland. Soggy malt. Dry, thin, medium lively bubbles, bland character but not horrendous.
3.3 Draft @ HB near Rockeffeler Centre. Average lager, nothing special, great name for Nebraska fans!
2.6 Draught at Radio City. Clear goldeb with a beige head. Aroma moderate malty, caramel, and hoppy. Flavor moderate sweet and bitter. Medium body. Very drinkable.
2.6 Pours a translucent golden yellow with a smaller with creamy and lacing head. Aroma was kind of light with some grains, corn and sweet malts. Flavor of sweet malts, corn, crisp/refreshing with a light hop bitterness and some citrus.
2.0 Sample @ Heartland Midtown West, New York, NY Pours clear dark golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, grain and hay. Taste is light sweet and light bitter. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.
3.0 From tap at the Midtown location. Pours hazy orange with a small white off-white head. Aroma is fruity and slight cornish. Bitter, light malty and lingering fruity. Bitter and dry into the finish.
2.8 5 oz. sampler. light golden pour with a 2 finger white head. straw nose with light grains. bitter body with more grains. clean crisp finish.
1.6 Only beer that I didn’t like. Corn and pale malts were about all I got. Too light and tasteless
2.7 Lightly sweet malt, flat corny finish. Somewhere between gold and copper; barely any head. Pretty good for an adjunct lager, with some actual malt flavor! A little undercarbonated.
2.4 Sampler at brewpub. Comes a pale yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of corn and malt. It does taste like corn flakes. Drinkable.
