A copper colored ale of good strength. Effervescent bitterness, smooth malt flavor and a flowery hop aroma.

2.7Appearance: pours with a medium off white head that has decent retention, the beer is a very hazy orange color
Aroma: not picking up much at all
Taste: very strong bitterness, not much malt sweetness to compete with the hops
Palate: lively carbonation, medium mouthfeel, bitter aftertaste
Overall: had on draft at the brewery, intensely bitter with very minimal malt backbone, could use more character but not bad
3.6On tap at Heartland, Empire State, NYC. It pours an unclear, orange colored body under a white head leaving lacings. The aroma is piney and grapefruity with some pale malts in the back. There’s a good bitterness in the flavor, with pine cones, resins and grapefruity hops, and a malty back that isn’t running the show. Full body, a bit heavy on the carbonation. Lasting finish with bitterness and piney hops dominating. A nice one indeed. Not superb, but sure nice. Drinks easy too. 150624
2.8A pale golden coloured beer with a weak white head. A strong hoppy aroma, pithy citrus fruit and piney. Dry mouthfeel. A mouth puckering hop bitterness in the taste, pine, and pithy lemon and lime. The hefty pithy citrus flavour lasts into a long finish. Draught @ Heartland Brewery, 8th St. New York.
2.5Goldig, trüb. Geruch nach C-Hopfen. Im Geschmack dann die Hopfenbombe, auch mit den eher unerwünschten Bestandteilen.
2.5On tap at Heartland at the Empire State Building. Medium, white soapy head over a cloudy, pale gold color beer. Aroma of hops. Taste was hoppy, but hops that were a little off. Sticky finish with lacing on the glass.
2.8Vom Fass im Heartland Chophouse Times Square. Schönes Hopfenaroma mit viel Gras und Zitrus. Geschmack dann leider leicht seifig.
3.7Orange with white head. Candy and fruity. By FAR the best beer at heartland. That isn't saying much. Pine and hops. West coast style. I like. Had this on tap at Heartland Brewery in Times Square
3.3From tap. Nicely amber coloured with low creamy head. Mild but nice IPA. Faily well balanced but distinct bitterness and lots of citrus and some pine and resin.
2.3Pours a dull amber. Minimal slick of head that laces the glass. Amina of malt and whiff of hops. Pronounced hop bitterness, stale - ish hops follow-through with an acrid aftertaste. Slightly sticky and grainy (?) Textured mouthfeel.
3.4Draught. Deep yellow with slight haziness, small off-white foamy head, hoppy aroma, low carbonation, balanced hoppy taste, longish finish. Nice IPA.
3.4Fat.
8/10/11/11//11
3.3on tap at the Times Square brewpub; cloudy orange color; citrusy, floral hop aroma; citrusy hops with tropical fruit notes on a light bodied malt base; bitter, hoppy finish
3.3"lighter but flavorful, coming in only at 6%. citrusy bittering hops and a good balalnce make this an enjoyable brew.
3.6Having a pint of Heartland’s (Independence) India Pale Ale at Guy’s American Kitchen and Bar. Quite nice hop.
3.7a nice colour a nice taste good amount of bitterness good amount of hops not the best ipa i have ever had but it was ok i would have it again
3.6One of my favorite beers which I had from Heartland. A very mild IPA with a very usual hop and malt profile. It’s not a stand out unless it’s among other Heartland offerings.
3.3Bona cervesa, es bastant equilibrada i gustosa.
Buena cerveza, es bastante equilibrada y sabrosa.
3.3Cloudy golden with a small white head. Fruity and hoppy tones. Fruit, malt and bitterness. Medium body with a bitter finish.
3.5Pretty golden orange with floral and citrus notes and a bit of spice in the flavor from the hops. Decent.
3.4Keg Pint at Heartland, Empire State Building, New York in March 2013 - Gold in colour. Hoppy; resinous piney and grassy hops. Fruity; zesty grapefruit citrus. Spicy. Malty; sweet malts and caramel. Nice bitter hop bite. Dry finish. Enjoyed this. Very drinkable. Nice Brewpub IPA!
3.45oz sampler from the brewpub NYC. Pours a slightly hazy darker golden color with a creamy off white head. Aroma of caramel malt, fresh citrus fruit, and grapefruit skins. Taste of bitter grapefruit, sticky pine, and caramel malt.
3.5Keg at Heartland, Union Square, 24/11/13.
Clear golden/light amber with a moderate off white covering.
Nose is peaches, hops, light brett (likely not intentional!?), mandarin, grapefruit, straw.
Taste comprises floral hops, orange pith, mandarin, light pine, caramel, toasted malts.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finale with subtle grassy hop bitterness.
Solid enough IPA.
3.6Draft at brewpub. Pours orange with white head. Nose and taste of grapefruit, light malt, florals, citrus and orange peel. Medium body.
3.6Bärnstensfärgad med litet skum! En del citrus toner i doften! Ganska mycket humle i smaken!
3.9Pours a hazy orange. Aroma is hops, grass, and citrus. Taste is a nice mix of citrus hops, pine, and grass. Slight bitter aftertaste, but not overpowering because of the strong citrus flavor.
3.227.06.2013, tap @ Heartland Brewery & Rotisserie NY:
Nice creamy longlasting head. Aroma is fresh hops, newly cut lawn, leafs, hints of pine needles. Taste is light malts, hops, leafs, wet grain, pine needles, cardboard, grass. Medium bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Fair enough.
1.9Eh...very hoppy. Not balanced with the bitterness that permeates. A very pale ale that needs something else to make it more drinkable.
2.618th Jan 2013: Heartland’s New York outlet under the ESB.
Fairly pale yellow with a wispy head, slight haze to the pour.
Citrusy nose, very floral too.
Taste followed the aromas: citrus notes and a floral feel to the flavours.
Body was crisp and almost sharp, refreshing and thirst quenching, but not really interesting or different to many US brews of this style.
3.0A bit booring ipa, little floral bitterness with some sweetness. Amber in color with a white head.
