1.7 They drink this beer where I come from as "sjoes", in a mix with pilsner. On its own it's hardly drinkable. A clear dark brown pour with beige head. Hardly any smell; malt and some caramel. Taste is plain sweet, flat, brown sugar. Little carbo, little body. This is hardly drinkable.
3.0 Bottle. Loose mocha head. Dark oak body. Oak, hops, red fruit and caramel. Sweet and saccharine. Dry finish. Thin bodied.
2.4 From bottle. Pours dark brown with very thin head. Low carbonation. Sweet malty aroma and taste. Doesn‘t even taste bad at all, but more like a soft drink rather than a beer. Has a very subtle, faint bitterness in the end that saves it a little.
1.4 Copper coloured beer with a site dense tan coloured head. Aroma: sweet, caramel and some malts. Taste: sweet, cardboard and some caramel. Tastes horrible!
1.9 Flesje gedronken tijdens vakantie. Donkerbruin helder bier met weinig schuim. Geur van frisdrank. Smaak is zoet en ietsje bitter. Geen nasmaak.
1.2 Pours almost black, topped with smaller beige head. Malty sweet nose, a bit roasty - extra gentle. Super sweet, syrupy sugary taste. Very light and watery body. Tastes like soft drink. Terribly sweet.
Proefglas 7-4-5-2-10
1.2 It pours a very deep brown color. It looks almost black in the glass. It has a beige head that vanishes quickly after 5-10 seconds. The aroma is subtle. Brown sugar and sweet malts. Cocoa maybe. Taste is really sweet up front but it fades into a more roasty slightly bitter flavor. Metallic finish. The beer has a sugary stickyness to the lips.
2.3 Ruikt best vies. Smaakt frisdrank achtig, beetje zuurtje, veel zoet, veel mout.
1.4 Bottle from Spar, Eindhoven. Pours clear brown. Nose is malt extract, light bitter. Taste is horribly sweet, dark malts.
1.6 Dark brown with a small white head. Aroma is caramel, raisin and orange. Taste is very very sweet with notes of bread, milk chocolate and pruins
1.5 33cl bottle. Small tan head atop clear dark brown body. Aroma is sweet, caramel, some orange, light raisin. Taste is sweet, caramel, some orange, light bread, raisin. Sticky light-medium body.
1.8 Light sweet caramel aroma. Dark brown, very short head. A bit too sweet, like decarbonated cola.
2.0 Bottle 33cl shared by Stephane thanks. A dark brown beer with low head. Nose is on nuts and dry grain. Aroma is on sweet caramel notes, low body, toasted grain, bottom yeast ? peppery notes, very boring.
1.8 Bottle. Colour is dark brown, fizzy, some clarity, like cola, off white head. Nose is sweet, rye bread, earthy. Taste is very sweet, like flat cola. Lots of sugar, rye bread, caramel. Cloying but thin in body. As sweet as a soft drink. Very little about it that’s like a beer.
1.8 Bottle. Pours clear ruby brown with a beige head. Sweet caramel aroma. Bread notes. Sweet caramel and bread like flavor. It’s very thin and the flavors just disappears after a few seconds leaving a sweet artificial feel.
2.6 At Maakun’s. Bottle shared. Clear dark brown with greyish head. Sweet roasted grains, (rye) bread, watery, sweet, dusty. Light sweet. Thin body, low carbo. Rye bread radler. What fun life is.
2.0 Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Very dark brown with short lasting grey-beige head. Lots of sugar and caramel, cardboard, light herbs, sweet tea, plastic, pils malts. Medium sweet and light bitter. Watery dry feel and light bodied. Not horrible but a lot like sweet cardboard tea.
2.0 Bottle. Malty aroma of caramel, overriped fruits and roasty with yeasty notes. Very metallic. The flavour is mainly sweet - light bitter finish. The body is light and the texture is watery. Lively carbonation.
1.4 Bottle. Surprised to see I didn’t rate this yet. But what’s to say? Aroma and taste of sweet sugar water and some malt. Some iron as well. This is really bad.
1.8 Very dark brown color. A small foam head wich dissapears quickly. heavy cloying sweetness, lightly bitter, light body, thin feel, soft carbonation.
2.0 Dit donkere bier heeft een vlak aroma (kandij, tarwe). De smaak is weeïg, gevormd door karamel en kandijsuiker. Niet echt natuurlijk. Wel geschikt voor stoverij.
1.5 Aroma: maltztrunk (caramel, sweet, some artificial notes). Appearance: deep brown color and thin beige head. Taste: sweet malty notes, caramel, awful. Palate: medium body and medium carbonation. Overall: Travesty.
2.2 Schwarz schöner Schaum, Geruch malzig süß Geschmack malzig sehr sehr süß im Abgang ganz leichter Hopfen
3.0 Bottle at home. Pours clear brown with a small tan head. Aroma of malt, caramel and toffee. Flavour is over moderate sweet. Light bodied with light carbonation.
2.0 Aroma: Slight malts, sugar, sweet, that’s it. Appearance: Ruby/brown beer with a fast disappearing off-white head. Taste/Palate: Sweet and malty, nothing else really.
2.8 0.3 l bottle from local AH, bottled just over a month ago. Clear, very dark red with a medium large, soapy, quickly diminishing, tan head. Musty, sweetish-malty aroma of nuts, sugar and caramel. Sweetish-malty taste of sugar and caramel, followed by a short, minimally bitter finish. Medium body, slightly creamy to sticky mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Less sweet than expected, apart from a musty note in the aroma quite enjoyable. One-dimensional of course, nevertheless okay.
0.9 Bottle at home. Aroma of sugary malt, caramel, sugar, coca-cola. Flavour is insane sugary sweetness. Weak watery body. I wouldn’t force this upon my worst enemy.
2.0 33cl bottle at home. Pours a brown colour with a small off white head. Aroma of caramel, sugar, dark malt, candy sugar. Taste is very sweet, low bitter with a low dry finish. Notes f dark malt, caramel, candy sugar. Texture is oily to watery, medium to light bodied with low carbonation
1.6 Of all the styles in beer this is the only one I detest. So sweet and sickening.
