Mooie donkere kleur, goed schuim.
3.0 330ml bottle from an import shop in Xiamen. Pours dark reddish brown with a thin white head. Aroma of malt and toffee, slightly metallic. Sweet caramel taste. Sweet finish.
2.1 It pours deep brown-ish/amber. Quickly vanishing beige head. The aroma is malty, slightly roasty, brown sugar, coffee and hops. Taste is caramelized malts, brown sugar, sugary coffee with little to no bitterness. Semi gloss on the lips. Watery to oily mouthfeel, thin body, soft carbonation.
2.4 Fles.
3.7 From old tasting notes. Deep reddish brown color. Huge rocky beige head. Soft malty aroma lacks intensity. Sweet roasted malt flavor is reminiscent of a German Doppelbock. Rich and malty with an obvious alcohol presence. Very good and interesting.
2.7 Flesje thuis gedronken. Robijnrood helder bier. Aroma van perzik. Smaak is zoet en waterig. Weinig nasmaak, geen boddy.
3.1 Clear reddish darkbrown pour with a lightbrown head, that quickly diminishes. Aroma of roasted malts, sweetness of caramel/cacao. Taste same, rather sweet, followed by a light bitterness. It’s OK, but not special and quite plain.
2.4 33cl bottle at the Blooming Hotel, Bergen NL on 21-Nov-2016. Clear dark brown colour with a beige coloured head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, sugar and spices. Medium body and carbonation. Sweet and heavy. Lots of caramel, molasses, dark fruit and clove. Bittersweet sticky finish. Not a great bok.
2.5 Robijnrood, helder, crèmekleurige schuimkraag die snel inzakt. Aroma: Graan zoetig, karamel, moutig, bruine suiker. Niets bijzonders.
1.9 Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Clear brown with small beige head. Lots of caramel and sugar, light fried banana, raisins. Mostly just straight up sugar. Very sweet and light metallic bitter. Medium bodied. Bad.
2.5 Sampled from bottle at home. Clear caramel brown with light tan head. Sweet malts, light roasted malts, caramel, toffee, barley, cloves, bitter spices, Heineken pils. Sweet as hardcandy sweets, light to medium bitter. Medium body, quite slick with strong carbonation. Bittersweet finish. Very sweet and little love, nonetheless it’s less terrible than I feared.
3.7 A nice Dutch wheat bock. Smooth, a little spicy and some sweet and bitter tones here and there.
2.9 Pours a ruby brown colour. Taste is sweet and malty with some blackpool rock on the palate
2.8 Bottle 0.33 l, from Holland. Ciemnobursztynowe piwo o niezbyt obfitej pianie oraz słodowym i karmelowym aromacie. W smaku słodowe, słodkawe, karmelowe, z suszonymi owocami w tle i lekko palonym finiszem.
2.9 0.3 l bottle from local AH, bottled in September 2015. Clear, brownish amber with a thin, frothy, quickly diminishing, tan head. Sweetish-malty, slightly musty aroma of brown sugar, nuts and caramel. Sweet-malty taste of brown sugar, nuts, caramel and hints of coffee, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, sugary and minimally coffeish finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Easily drinkable, quite tasty as well, but also a very subdued Bock. Decent, expected worse.
2.1 30cl Flasche. Kastanienfarbenes Bier mit wenig dunklem Schaum. Sehr süß in der Nase. Verbranntes Karamell. Geschmack süß und alkoholisch.
3.3 The beer has a ruby red color. The beer is very clear. The beer pours almost no foam. The little foam is rough and has a almond color. The smell has a alcohol aroma. I also smell some roasted aromas. There is a nice bittersweet aroma. There isn’t much special in the smell. The taste is nice. I taste some roasted barley, and a sweet alcohol aroma. The beer has a nice bitterness. The beer is nice, however, the beer misses a wow factor.
2.5 33cl bottle at home. Pours a dark brown/amber colour with a small tan head that depletes almost directly. Aroma?s caramel, malt and brown sugar. Taste is ridiculously sweet with notes of caramel, malts and brown sugar. Texture is a bit sticky with avergae to low carbonation.
2.8 Aroma: Roasted, malt, caramel, artificial sweetness, brown sugar. Appearance: Brown/red beer with an off-white head. Taste/Palate: Caramel, brown sugar, more sugar, artificial sweetness, why did they add the sugar?
1.8 Zoet bockbier. Niet zo zoet als Grolsch. Erg dunne zoete smaak. Schuimkraag zakt snel in.
3.4 One of my favorite bockbeers. I look forward to seeing this one on the shelves every year.
2.6 (bottle 26/03-2015) low beige head, clear dark red brown color, medium co2, rather malty taste. BB date mrt 16.
2.4 beer i forgot to rate, darker brown colour with a ruby shad, caramel malts, caramel sweetness, rye, dark fainted ripe red fruits, chemical sweetness,
3.6 Deep dark ruby color with a fine tan head. Good lacing. Nutty, toffee, mild roasty and some dried fruits in the aroma. Medium + body. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Average to soft carbonation. A bit oily texture. Toffee, nutty, some roasted notes, caramel and fruity flavor. Decent nice dutch bock. [Bottle from a local grocery store in Utrecht, Netherland]
3.0 Bottle. Pours a clear, copper color with a very thin head. Brown sugar aroma with a thick, malty presence. Very malty flavor with some caramel and brown sugar notes. Not terrible, but a typical Heineken brew.
3.5 Pretty good beer. Head not very strong, creamy. Aroma: sweet and gentle coffee. The flavor is "thick", slightly bitter, caramel and a little coffee. Drink a light and pleasant.
3.2 Ah the super sweet taste of syrupy mash. Sparsedroopy fingers of lace drool back into rhe deep maple syup amber of the beer. Nose of dark sugar. Up front spice covered in syrupy malts that eventually subdue it. Short overall body. Finish is abrubt.
