Het Anker Blond

Het Anker Blond

Anker Blonde is brewed artisnally with the best natural ingredients by the established Anker Brewery since 1369. This top fermented lager is very refreshing thanks to its balance between pale malt and refined hops. Tastes quite fresh at 6° - 8° C.

2.9 Clear golden-yellow in colour with a very large white head, excellent lacing. Aroma is a peppery, some yeast, light spice, some citrus. Flavour is of floral soap, lemons, yeast, some sweetness. Yeasty mouthfeel, light body, high carbonation. FInishes quite floral and long. Weird, but so is everything else from Het Anker. 330ml bottle purchased at the LCBO in Peterborough, Ontario. Opened on May 9, 2010.
Best before February 10, 2011.
3.1 75cl bottle at home, from beerplanet. As Athos. jaargang 2011 tasted 2012. Cork popped off with a little help and almost hit the ceiling, but not a gusher. clear yellow, large white head.very mild and faint aroma, what i get is a little fruits and perhaps something resembling a milky touch. flavor is slightly spicy bitter belgian yeasty, dry, faint notes of dry european hops, towards the end the hops become much more prominent and they give the beer good character, distinctly european. malts and yeast add a ubtle sweetness combined with a subtle fruity note. faint spicy too. A mild yet pretty dry and tasty belgian.
3.8 From Backlog @ Kulminator , bottled as Margriet and a bit aged Head: large, white, foamy Colour: deep hazy orangy blonde Smell: dairy, flowery, yeasty, sweet, oranges Taste: milky buttery start, flowery hops , yeasty background , sweet dry end , i like this !
1.5 Flaskad som Het Anker Magriet. Ingen doft doft, ganska parfymerad. Absolut inget gott!
3.1 Bottle @ VBPF’12.
3.4 24/III/2012 - 75cl bottle as "Athos" @ VBPF ’12 (Jette) - BB: n/a (2012-277) Clear blond beer, big aery white head, unstable, adhesive. Aroma: fruity yeast, some bubble gum, spices, citrus, peppery, some white candi sugar. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: yeasty, dairy, yoghurt, bit of citrus, bitter, lots of spices. Aftertaste: dairy yeast, some citrus, orange peel, spices. Typical Anker yeast signature.
2.9 Bottle at Kulminator in March 2012, vintage 2009. (labeled as "Margriet") Slightly hazy deep golden with a small white head. Aroma and taste of raisins, some earth, hops and yeast. Drinkable but boring.
2.9 Gedronken bij benzay, vooral geel beetje oranje kleur, weinig schuim, ruikt en smaakt bitter, doet me denken aan banaan
3.9 Bought at LCBO in Canada. This is a very fresh tasting beer that would be really good in summer. Very active in the mouth. Sold here as margriet.
3.1 Bought from LCBO as Margriet. A golden ale with a thin creamy off white head. In aroma, a sweet creamy and perfumey malt with light orange peels, musty, a bit oxidized. In mouth, a smooth sweet malt with creamy mouthfeel, with orange peels, rose water, a bit cloying. BB 10-02-11.
3.3 Pours a medium golden yellowish color. Aromas of fruit, yeast and some pepper. Flavors are sour, yeasty, and a touch of sweetness at the finish.
3.4 75cl bottle @ home as "Vossen met de Meynen", shared with Dutchdrebus. Slightly hazy pale yellow color, average sized, slightly creamy white head. Smell sweet, banana. Taste some bitter, some sweetness, also lightly banana. Decent. Average carbo, medium body.
2.7 Clear golden yellow with a big white head. Smells banana, hefe weizen. Tastes banana, malts.. Too much carbo, medium sweet body.
3.4 Bottle @ Home. 2007 vintage, labeled as"Margriet". Pours clear golden with a fading white head. Aroma of malt, yeast, fruity, coriands. Taste is malt, yeast, sweet fruit, apples, honey, coriands and other spices. Medium body, surprisingly high carbonation still. Nice 040911
3.6 2009 Vintage@Kulminator – labaled Margriet: pours a clear yellow with a white head, smell and taste are pretty much the same, sweet hops with yeast, spice (coriander maybe), honey and fruits, I am actually getting some white grapes in the aroma of this, very good standard style beer
3.2 Bottle (75 cl) from Etre Gourmet, marked as "Margriet". Shady deep golden, medium white head. Earthy and slightly peppery aroma with some floral hops, a touch of alcohol. Medium bodied, high carbonation. Dry with medium bitterness.
3.0 Decent blond ale with a decent flavour. Rather refreshing when you’re thirsty.
3.6 Bottle at home ... golden yellow ... big bubbly white head ... sweet soft yeasty ... light candi suger ... soft fruits ... light sweet hop ... light sweet candi ... again a little yeast ... decent and easy
3.7 Originally sampled July 2009. Purchased at the LCBO, going under the name Margriet. Best before date is 10/02/11. This Belgian ale (which does not look like one, judging from the label) came pouring out of the bottle, and created a big white frothy head. Retention is long, lacing is patchy all around and colour of brew is a hazy golden-yellow. The nose is reminiscent of a Belgian ale, with some wit yeast and some citrus notes. Smooth mouthfeel with a little dry finish and very mild tart. Taste of a Belgian ale, with that typical malt/yeast combination and a nice light aftertaste of grain malt with a very subtle touch of honey. Quite refreshing overall and a decent Belgian ale.
4.0 Bottle at Den Stillen Genieter. Sour bubblegum flavor hints at the presence of wheat. Nice character for a blonde, a pleasant surprise.
3.1 Flowery carbonated aroma. Almost clear yellow with white foamy head that leaves foamy lacing as it thins. (A bit too) Sweet, smooth carbonated clean taste with little flavour.
3.4 750 ml bottle a golden yellow colored beer with a white head aroma malts spices and fruits taste malts spices fruits and hop
3.6 Bottle from the LCBO, under the "Margriet" label. I drank this while watching TV and didn’t take an notes, but kept thinking that it was a nice, solid Belgian golden ale. Had everything I expected from the style - yellow-gold colour with a large white head; notes of spice, fruit and yeast in the aroma and flavour, with a surprisingly hoppy finish; good body that’s a bit sticky in the finish, but still refreshing. Didn’t completely wow me, but that’s OK, I just wanted something enjoyable and easy to drink, and that’s what I got.
3.0 Athos. (special edition greek bottle 750ml) Nice beer for summer time. Malty anh hops aromas. Big white head, golden color. A combination between sweet and sour. bitter finish. Good refreshing beer, but i agree with Lady_Bastet (71) it lacks character.
3.2 Bottle, 330ml. Pours a copper/golden colour with a large offwhite head with good retention, plenty of carbonation. Aroma is of dry fruits and citrus, with just a hint of alcohol. Taste is pretty heavy, with the notes from the aroma domaining. Nice.
2.7 330ml under the name Margriet. Giant white head on hazy amber. Dusty blond aroma with a soapy hop almost lavender note. Body is kind of flat and dull compared to the big head. Sugar, cardboard, dull melon and water. Is this what they drink at hockey games in Belgium.
3.0 Pours hazy golden/amber with a large, frothy head. Aroma of soap/hay/hops but subtle. A nice balance of malts and hops with more of a lean towards the hops. A slightly bitter, quick finish that doesn’t linger long. A nice, refreshing belgian but not terribly distinctive. It lacks character overall.
2.7 Pours a light amber with a huge head. The aroma is yeasty and fresh. The taste is slightly sweet and just enough bitterness and alcohol to make a refreshing, but creamy, drink.
3.1 [2768-20100218] Bottle. Fruity orange-tinged sweet yeast aroma. Hazy, light brown body with a long-lasting foamy white head. Fruity flavour has watered-down yeast notes. Medium body. Reminiscent of a yeastier bottle of Canadian. (From LCBO as Margriet; w/ jerc)
3.5 2010-02-18. Hazy pastel yellow, massive foamy white head. Yeasty aroma, fairly floral notes to the hops. Flavour is fairly bitter throughout with a pleasant hoppy character, grassy touches with dry moderately alcoholic foundation. Dry in the finish. Average palate is pleasantly carbonated. Enjoyable. Bottle from LCBO as Margriet, Toronto
