Het Anker Gouden Carolus Cuvée Van De Keizer Imperial Blond (Rood Label)

Het Anker Gouden Carolus Cuvée Van De Keizer Imperial Blond (Rood Label)

Gouden Carolus Cuvée van de Keizer Rood is a strong blond beer that was launched in 2008 on the occasion of "10 years Gouden Carolus Cuvée van de Keizer Blauw". However, it contains more types of malt and 3 different kinds of herbs are added during the brewing process.

Its bright golden color, high alcohol percentage and full and well-balanced taste make this ale a genuine source of vitality and power which will please even the most critical connoisseur.

For ideal savoring, gently pour out in one fluent movement, at a temperature of 7-8° C (45-46°F). Proudly poured it is savored with respect. Those who like a refreshing, heavy and somewhat spicy beer, choose this blonde ale.

4.2 Golden colored ale with a good head. Balanced, yellow fruity sweetness, citrus fruits, subtle bready malty and slightly herbal, floral. Not much bitterness. Smooth and creamy. Well balanced. Reminds me of their brilliant Triple, but a bit less fruity and less exciting. Very nice blond ale.
3.5 Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours medium hazy, opaque gold, with fine white foam. Aroma is honey, balsamic, yeasty. Body is fairly dense, with moderate carbonation. Taste is medium-high sweet, balsamic, especially in the final.
4.4 Draft at Het Anker, Mechelen. 2019 edition. A dense, long-lasting, snow-white head sitting on a hazy golden pour with a greenish cast to it. Aroma is high: citrus fruits (orange, lime, lemon), bread, hawthorn. Soft and mouth-covering, super full-bodied. Crisp. Restrained bitterness. Aftertaste brings back notes of pie and orange blossom. Nice.
4.0 Foamy white head stayed on sparkling gold body. Zesty aroma with sweet citrus & yeast. Medium bodied, smooth on the front with a sharp back. Bitter/Sweet citrus, yeast, spices, herbaceous, orange & boozy tastes. Excellent.
3.6 75cl bottle. Great bear, full of body. Taste is almost of a triple. This one is a keeper.
3.5 On tap at Cafe Cambrinus, Brugge, Belgium. A dark golden coloured pour with a healthy white head on top. Sweet, fruity, yeasty, spice aroma and taste. Quite decent but incredibly sweet and syrupy.
4.1 Fabulous full flavour blond. Personally this is knocking on the door of a quality triple. Great brew very enjoyable and one to re buy.
4.1 Transparant goud geel bier met ruime witte schuimkraag. Licht zoete, banaan achtige smaak. Klein bittertje in de lange afdronk
3.8 (tap 0,3l @ OP (Brno)) Overall: Good belgian. Spicy, drinkable and strong. Aroma: Spicy, sweet malty. Appearance: Clear golden. Medium, white head. Taste: Medium sweet, spicy, light alcohol. Palate: Higher carbonation. Full body. Creamy texture. Spicy, bitter, warm finish.
3.7 31st Jan 2020, International Beer Exchange, Pre-Brugge Bier Festival at De Bierboom. Mini haze to the deep golden pour, white head. Fruity, spicy and boozy, a bit sweet in nature too.
3.3 Bottle at Firkin Alehouse Folkestone tasting. clear deep gold colour lasting white head. Belgian yeast aroma peach fruit ok. a bit strong syrup. ok
4.5 Fles 75cl thuis. Zacht, zoet, banaan, appel, fruittonen, citrustoets, sinaasappelschil, koriander, licht kruidig, suikers, redelijk koolzuur, licht klef, licht boozy. Goede balans. Redelijk complex. (8-2-2020).
4.2 Golden, slightly hazy, with a white head that dilapidates quickly. Intense taste, yet very well balanced. Fruit, spice and a mild booze. Quite good.
3.7 Pours with a a hazy blond body and a dense average sized white head. Spicy, floral aroma and taste with tropical fruit, cardamom, bread and some solventy higher alcohol qualities. Medium bodied and spritzy carbonation.
3.9 The aroma is very fruity and spicy with a lot of lemons notes. Remind you the "Tripel Karmeliet" and "Westmalle Tripel". The taste is sweet and slightly sour with a lot of fruits and spicy notes. The mouthfeel is ok and the taste is delicious. The carboration is medium and the aftertaste warm and good. Lastly you do not feel the 10% alcohol and that is very good. Overall a very good "Strong Pale" beer to drink with your friends or alone. It's similar with "Tripel Karmeliet" and "Westmalle Tripel" a little bit.
3.3 75 cl fles. Wazig Goudblond bier met grote witte schuimkraag. Geur: mout, wat fruitig, appel, wat hop. Smaak: zoet, suiker, fruitig, banaan, zoete appel. Volmondig. Medium koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: zoet, alcohol verwarmend.
3.5 Donker goud kleurig , beetje troebel en met een witte schuimkraag die snel verdwijnt. Smaakt zoet, citroen, licht bittere droge nasmaak. Ik heb dit vroeger beter beoordeeld
3.4 On tap at Brasserie Beck. Hazy pale gold, white head. Yeast, plum, coriander, banana notes. Interesting.
3.3 Pours a gold colour with thin white head Aroma is herbal bit sweet Taste is herbal not very hoppy long finish Overall ok
4.1 Közepes, nem túl tartós hab, borostyán szín. Visszafogott, friss, fűszeres, gabonás illat. Friss, gabonás, kekszes, fűszeres, borsos ízvilág, némi korianderrel. Testes, közepesen szénsavas, közepesen keserű. Nagyon finom, egy jó ebéd megkoronázásához tökéletes.
3.7 Bottle at Het Anker 2019-06-28 Mechelen AR: belgian yeasty, banana foam AP: golden clear, white foam lid F: coriander, Jimmie, orange peel, yeasty, dry and sweet, warming feeling
3.6 Masterfully complex. Almost brandy-like alcohol warmth, with spices and citrus notes galore.
4.0 Heavy, maar erg lekker!
3.7 Pana obfita, raczej gruba, średnio trwała. Barwa złota, klarowna. W zapachu klasycznie - głównie estry w typie brzoskwiń, trochę fenoli i odrobinka starego chmielu, tymianku. W smaku dość słodkie, dominuje kandyzowana morela, rodzynki, nutki likierowe, przyprawowe, nieco miodu i rozgrzewający finisz.
4.0 75cl bottle from Sandersput, Ninove - many thanks to Anke! Pours hazy golden with a small, slowly thinning, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of freshly cut apple, breadcrust, unripe banana, pineapple, white pepper, clove, lemongrass. Taste is light to medium fruity sweet, hints of apple & pear & some estery banana, bready & yeasty character, sourish touch, spicy notes of grass, clove, pepper, early hops popping up, coming to full display in the dry, earthy hoppy finish, spicy-phenolic, lingering apple peel & bread, some warming champagne-like alcohol. Medium body, slick-creamy texture, lively carbonation. Classic Tripel, well-balanced, even on the dry side. Good one by Het Anker.
3.7 0.75l bottle. Clear golden body with a huge white head. Aroma of sugar syrup, green apples, coriander, pepper and orange zest. Taste of bready malts, apples, orange zest, sugar syrup, coriander, a tiny bit of floral hops and some booze. Sweet, sticky and strong. Nice one, but to be honest I expected a bit more based on the Blauw.
