3.6 Pour is a black with a huge tan head. Aroma is a huge cocoa nibs with some graham cracker dryness. Flavor is more chocolate with a super dry finish. Not a huge aftertaste on the tongue. Decent chocolate all around but not much after that. Decent chocolate but I wanted more of the marshmallow and graham cracker to come out.
4.0 Toasty, burnt marshmallow, chocolate aroma. Taste is chocolate, burnt wood, toasty, toasty, coffee.
3.9 From a can to a glass. Pours a black with a monster tan frothy creamy head. Aroma is milk chocolate/dark chocolate upfront with notes of roasted malt and slight Coffee. Taste follows the aroma well with a slight hop note in the sip. Medium mouthfeel. Slightly thin and slightly watery. Simple beer nothing spectacular but is ok.
3.6 Similar to a leinikugels I had a long tiem ago. Smooth and true to smore name. Defintily falls into dessert beer cateogry. Not my favortie type of beer but fun every now and then. Have to say that the execution is pretty good and nice to not be 12%.
4.0 Bomber from Big Al's. Near black pour, minimal head. Aroma and taste feature the marshmallow and graham, chocolate assumed through the mixture of flavors. Sweet, smooth, medium weight. Really tastes like a smore.
4.0 Nitro on tap. When I saw “campfire” I was thinking “Smokey”, but surprise! the toasted marshmallow thing hit me right away. God DAMN that is tasty. Suspiciously so, really. I am really happy drinking this dessert even though it is not what I was initially signing up for. Still, as good as it is I don’t think I could do more than one.
3.2 Pours pretty dark and medium thick looking (whatever that means). Head is the color of coffee with a lot of cream. Carbonation makes a noise similar to a soda being poured into a glass. Aroma is super sweet with hints of chocolate. Flavor is also pretty sweet but not overly so. It is pretty smooth and a bit creamy in the mouth, but I wish this beer had a bit more body. Carbonation is also a bit harsh for this style beer. I like stouts a lot, but this one is just okay.
2.6 Bottle picked up at Bevmo. Pours black with a small beige head, light lacing. Sweet, molasses, vanilla, herbal and bitter. Footbalmed this one.
3.7 Draught at Emporium. Black color, beige head. Bitter taste with roasted malts, coffee, vanilla, chocolate, nuts and dark fruits. Bitter finish with roasted malts, toast, chocolate, nuts, coffee and dark fruits. Very nice stout.
3.2 (cara-mélasse, µ-chama-peanut, rétro choco-graham, last choco-fleuri, pas enthousiasmante - même pour un stout) (trop artificielle)
4.0 Chocolate, vanilla, molasses, hint of graham cracker. Roasty and smooth, slightly sweet. Delicious. Bottle from Sarah for Beervent 2018.
3.9 Pours stout black with a creamy head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, graham cracker with some roasted malt. Chocolate, marshmallow flavor with hint of roasted malt. Creamy body. Great lacing. Very nice beer.
3.2 Found it at Penini’s. Lots of coffee flavor, not too heavy. Very smooth and tasty.
3.8 Pours thick black with a one finger, tan head. Aroma is rich cocoa, vanilla and some cookie. Taste is rich, dark chocolate and light honey, moving to vanilla, some coffee and roast. Finish is roast. A very good dessert stout.
3.7 Nitro sample at Taphouse Grill in Seattle. Jet black pour with a thin beige head that recedes steadily to a dense film. Small patches of lace. Malt, vanilla and chocolate in the nose. Medium body with flavors of charred malt, vanilla, chocolate and marshmallow. The finish is creamy with a vanilla and chocolate aftertaste. Above average overall.
3.8 Poured from 22oz bottle thanks Brian blackish brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma is grain cracker marshmallow roasted chocolate. Taste is nice, good mouth feel, notes of chocolate, marshmallow, gram cracker, creamy but a tad thin. Overall well crafted.
3.5 Pint glass at Choice City Butchers with RMBT crew. Finally a beer accompanied by food. Black coffee color with minimal light tan head. Lacing is disappointing. Aroma is chocolate and graham cracker with a nice mild roasty note. Taste follows suit with chocolate, cereal like graham cracker, and a marshmallow creaminess. Relatively thin mouthfeel. Feels a little artificial which holds it back from a higher rating. Not one I need to find again.
4.0 750ml, Bottleshare. Pours a jet black with a tan head. Aroma: vanilla, marshmallows, roasted malt, cocoa notes. Taste: vanilla, marshmallows, roasted malt, bitter cocoa, oak flavours. Full bodied. Mild sweetness followd by a mildly boozy and bitter finish. Quite easy drinking. This is quite nice!
4.2 solid black body, lasting head. smells of vanilla, and sugar. I'm sure people have gone on about the chocolate peanut butter and marshmallow flavors. that is unimportant to me. let's talk about vanilla. I fucking love it like people that dont use birth control love their repercussions. I dont give a flying fuck at a rolling donut if it's real or fake vanilla. does it taste good to me? yes. this has a vanilla that makes me smile. so, fuck all ya'll
3.7 Pours black with a fading head. Nose shows chocolate, vanilla, marshmallow. Very sweet-smelling. Flavours include soft roast, vanilla and a mild bitterness.
3.7 Nitro at Prohibition Pig. Dark maroon color, brown nitro head. Aroma of cream and light coffee. Taste is marshmallow chocolate graham crackers. Works for me
3.8 Bottle. Black, tan head is less than a coat. Aroma of burnt sugar, caramel syrup, chocolate, artificial vanilla, toast. Medium bodied, smooth. Not as sweet as feared with a bitterness that just about keeps it seeming like a stout. And it gives the modest roast a chance to register. Started at 10C, better as it warmed a bit.
3.8 22 oz. bottle purchased at Total Wine & More, Phoenix. Aroma is mild graham cracker, very light smoke, perhaps in my mind marshmallow. The body is decent, smooth finish. Chocolate and graham crackers works well. Good.
3.4 Draft at Moriartys. Pitch black pour with khaki foam. Semi-glossy dark malts. Chocolate liquor. Burnt hazelnuts. Dark red berries. Charcoal. Vanilla. Nearly full-bodied. Smooth. Liking it, but apparently less so than others.
4.0 22 ounce bottle. Opaque black color. Small creamy tan head. Huge chocolate malt aroma. Intense roasted malt flavor with Sweet chocolate. Notes of brown sugar and burnt marshmallows. Rich and flavorful. Quite tasty.
4.5 Draft sample. Pitch black pour with a very large nitro tan head. Marshmallow and chocolate nose. Very creamy mouthfeel. Great flavor mix of marshmallows, graham crackers and chocolate. Really good!
3.7 Tap. Pours deep, dark brown. Aroma and flavor are marshmallows, graham cracker, light caramel, milk chocolate, faint espresso, and some faint ash/smoke. Medium/full body.
4.2 Opaque black beer with slight yeast and with a slight/medium brown/dark brown head. Medium aroma; taste starts medium sweet and ends slightly bitter and dry. Mostly has nuts, crackers, chocolate and roasted malts. 7/5/9/4
4.7 Pours creamy, foamy and tri-color: Black, brown and tan leaving a lingering, solid 2-ginger head with an aroma of chocolate, marshmallow; yes s’mores. It’s has a nice, deep rich, brown sugar aroma. The body and finish of this beer is outstanding and rich. The upfront is all palate and texture followed by a body of chocolate, marshmallow and brown sugar with a rich mildly bitter finish of earthy resinous baker’s cocoa and hops. It’s medium bodied with a nitro texture. Beautiful pour and a rich taste.
4.0 22 oz bottle from Tavour. Great taste & aroma with a slightly smoky finish.
