A brilliant, dry pale ale with an aggressive hop character balanced with a smooth finish. A bold beer best consumed with a stiff upper lip.

This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking golden orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. Light lacing strung its way around the glass once the head dissipated.
The smell had a nice glaze of bittersweet orange and orange peel. A nice amount of lemon sweet and bitter lemon peel come in as well. Light caramel came in to balance.
The taste took those previously mentioned flavors and balanced nicely. A light caramel to sweet citrus balances in the aftertaste.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionable quality about it. The carbonation was there and as an AIPA this one definitely gives off it’s bitterness against my tongue.
Overall, pretty good AIPA that I would come back to if I could find it.
3.4Slight hop aroma that is distinct yet doesn’t over power. Golden colored perfection with a slight cloudy appearance. Carbonation of this beer is visible in the bubbles that continuously float to the top. Smooth hop finish that is balanced with an almost "fruity" after taste. Great local IPA that is a shining example of the North Carolina brew movement!
3.4Bottle. Pours a golden color with white head. Grassy, earthy, bitter, bread aromas. Hoppy, grassy, bitter, green hop aromas. A pretty solid, drinkable IPA.
3.6Golden color with a fluffy white head. Raw hop pellet nose. Crisp cracker and coarse bread maltiness followed by a strong grapefruit rind hop presence. Very nice traditional IPA.
3.3Highland Kashmir IPA has a thin-to-medium, off-white head, a mostly clear, gold-orange appearance, some residual lacing, lots of bubbles, and noticeable lace left on the glass. The aroma is faint, but one can pick up some apricot and sweet malt. Taste is of sweet bread, apricot, and mellow bitterness. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Highland Kashmir IPA finishes semi-dry and refreshing. RJT
3.1Bottle pour of bright clear yellow with a fluffy white head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt with grassy earth notes and a hit of lemon peel. Taste of aggressive bitter grassy hops with a touch of sweet malt to smooth it out and a citrus acidity that keeps it bright. Light to medium body that is smooth but clean and has a long, strong and bitter finish. Overall a beer that stays true to it's roots and provides a refreshing punch to your taste buds.
3.0Not much aroma to this beer. This is on the lighter side of an IPA but with that said it is an enjoyable beer. It's hard to go wrong with anything from Highland brewery.
2.8Sampled at the brewery. It poured a clear golden color with a white head. The aroma was of bread, earthiness and light citrus. The taste was of bread, earthiness and light citrus with a smooth moderately bitter finish.
2.0Bottle from Kroger.
Pours light-medium golden with an inch of off-white head.
Smells... whew. Skunk and cheap lager. Tastes the same... this is a hoppy, skunky lager. Yuck.
3.5Regular macro style straw body. Wonderful delicate hoppy aroma. Slightly bitter flavor. Very easy drinking. Light floral taste. Some sweet maltyness. Good sessionable beer.
3.5Awesome IPA, thank you highland brewery, tasty ipa with hops and citrus and yummy
3.8Clear golden body with white head & nice lacing. Citrus, floral aromas. Balanced malt backbone with wonderfully hoppy flavors. Crisp, bright & lightly bitter finish.
2.6Bottle. Not a very good IPA. Gold color. Rather small head for an IPA. Taste not very hoppy. Aroma, bland.
2.3Bottle pours golden with a white head. Spicy, floral aroma with a little yeast in there. Smooth palate. Extremely bitter flavor lingers for quite some time.
3.4Pours a light clean orange. Barely any head and what's there disappears quickly. Floral to slightly peppery aroma. This beer has a very spicy hop character to it followed by floral notes. Taste is reminiscent of toasted bread smeared with honey. Slight graininess. The bitterness lingers a bit. It finishes very dry. This isn't the typical balanced/malty English style IPA. Hop forward, spicy, quasi-English style IPA. Good drinkable beer.
3.4Hoppy and bitter. Whoa, it is bitter. Some fruit notes, grass, moldy aroma. Taste is spice, hop, wheat, grass, very bitter.
3.412oz bottle poured a bright deep yellow color with a soapy white head that disappeared quickly..some decent lacing on the glass. the aroma is a bit malty, flowery and grassy if that makes any sense. the flavor is a mild bitterness with some flowery hops followed on the back end with grassiness. not a solid ipa but it is drinkable. it just seems a bit off but then they could have used some different hops in this. it is rather smooth in texture.
2.6Bottle: Clear yellow gold with not much head. Mild hop aroma with a flowery flavor but really not that hoppy. This is one of those IPA’s that anyone can drink and think they are into IPA’s. It’s not awful, but certainly falls short of your average IPA.
2.5Bottle hazy orange with a sweet carmely notes and bitterness Not much fresh hop flavor, and some papery notes. Little bitterness at the very end.
3.0Bottle into shaker. Pours a dense thick white head and leaves dense lace. Transparent golden amber color. Not much aroma, but what is there is light floral notes and earthy hops. Flavor is bland as well with light honey and hops. Flat upfront with lingering light bitter finish. Overall just meh.
2.1Bottle: Thanks, Jeff! Hazed golden, yellow body with a soapy white head that recedes quickly. Aroma is muted grassy, weedy, vegetal notes with light perfume. Taste is quietly bitter leaves & slightly oily hops with a mild perfume & soapy character that isn’t all too pleasing. Light cracker malt, dry finish. Faint orange & a slight rubbery aftertaste. Not great.
3.3From 12 ounce bottle bought as part of a mix six pack from Whole Foods in Brentwood (suburban Nashville) Tennessee. Slightly hazy gold hue with slight amber tint, small white head that mostly lasted with good lacing, moderate bittersweet nose with an unpleasant smell in the backround, moderate to strong bittersweet with initial citrus burst followed by hops and then a sugary finish--aftertaste not all that good. Good IPA but recipe could stand a little tweaking.
3.7Poured from bottle. Nice hop, malt, ocean aroma. Almost clear gold with lacing head. I taste citrus and floral hops with a bit of sweetness and a malt back. Banana and pepper notes as well. Hops are not overpowering. Decent - a good "go to" choice.
3.212 oz. bottle. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a slight tinge of orange. Smell is orange pineapple, piney hops. Taste is a little sweet, caramel, pine, citrus in the middle and medium bitterness in the finish. Not great meets all the single IPA criteria. Also seems to be very sessionable.
3.6From a bottle. The pour is pale in color with a frothy white head yet the pine and citrus notes I am getting go well togethor.Fluffy texture
3.0Darker orange pour and bright clear. nose is some citrusy and lightly floral and grassy hops. with some bready but not really caramelly malts. Flavor is similar but lacking in overally hop qualities. The malt body is good and seems like it could make a good ipa but is far from a good hoppy beer.
2.9A bit light for an IPA, balanced malt and hops with a bit buttery of a feel. Lingering finish that is lacking in punch.
3.4tasted at Brew Do - aroma - buttery floral, taste - happy but not overdone, creaminess sweet malt
3.2Horribly smelling ipa. Really skunky. The flavor is very good despite the taste. Nicely bitter and a nice kick of hopps. Has a bitter finish and almost no citrus taste.
3.6Hazy, yellow-gold color with a white head. The aroma has earthy notes mixed with light grapefruit. It has a light, crisp body with lively carbonation. The taste is moderately bitter with a pretty easy finish.
