Highland Thunderstruck Coffee Porter

Highland Thunderstruck Coffee Porter

This robust porter has a full body with some hints of chocolate from the chocolate malt and midnight wheat. The mild noble hop aroma showcases the roasty flavors and subtle fruit and spice notes of the artisan-roasted Fair Trade/Organic coffee of Black Mountain, NC’s Dynamite Roasting Co.

3.7 bottle dated 12/13 to glass. Wonderful coffee aroma - one of the better coffee aromas... big dark brown froth head. Taste was better cold; as it warmed it seemed more watery and less flavorful. coffee was main flavor with roast....
3.7 22oz bottle in a teku. Pours very dark brown with a lacy, beige head. Aroma of coffee, some roasted malts with light notes of caramel and chocolate, hints of bitterness from hops, and some light dough. Flavor the same but it has a very nice balance of coffee and the beer. Average texture and carb. A pretty good beer, that was actually better than I was expecting.
