Juicy is inspired by our love for New Zealand - the adventures had therein, and the journeys grown from without. Our love for the landscape, the agriculture, and the spirited reflection of its inhabitants Long ago led to the vision of what lies before you. After many months of conditioning with our resident microflora in barrels that formerly held our Mimosa, the beer that we have referred to as Juicy is now ready to be enjoyed.
Ingredients: American and European malts, American and New Zealand hops, Yeast, Brettanomyces, and our well water.

4.3375mL bottle; consumed on site. Pours a clear-ish orange-amber with a moderate off-white head. Aroma is wine, orange, light funk, some rose, and faint cheese. Taste is similar but with some oak and light vanilla. Grapefruit pith in the finish. Almost no funk comes through in the taste. Some cheesiness appears as it warms - but very little. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Soft, smooth mouthfeel. Incredibly clean.
4.1Hazy orange color with off-white head. Aroma has tart fruits, fermented notes, herbs and a bit of fruit vinegar. Taste is balanced, fruity, mineral with bitter fruit pits and almonds. Medium body with low carbonation. Quite nice wild ale with lots of farmhouse funk and fruit flavors.
4.5Pours hazy deep amber with two fingers of white head. Aroma of grass, green grapes, grass, kiwi, gooseberries, just wow. Taste is mellow tart, incredibly balanced, grassy and crisp, grapes and a bit of citrus in the finish. Light and crisp body with soft carbonation. Hands down one of the finest examples of American sour I’ve ever tried!
4.2Bottle pour. Incredible rich, slightly sweet and sour aroma of fresh berries. Pours a faded reddish amber. Medium light bodied, medium sour flavor with a tart slightly bitter finish. Not super rich. Not super sweet. Well balanced.
4.1Bottle. Pours hazy dark orange with a diminishing small head. Aroma is flowery (rose), mineral, toffee, tart Apple.Finishes tart with toffee.
4.2Bottle. Light hazy golden with a small white head. Soft, fat and light grasy, but in a good way. White grapes, white pepper, white wood, light sawdust, light oranges, apricot. Medium body, smooth texture with mild sweetness and acidity. Long mellow finish.
3.9Bottle 0,375 @ Slacker. Pours hazy amber with small off-white head. Mango, papaya, passion fruit, banana, faint notes of strawberry, dry and vinous finish. Medium to full body and average carbonation.
4.6(Une bouteille à la source): Agrumes sauvages bien mûres, pêche et un aspect vin orange légèrement épicé. La texture vineuse glisse sur la langue mais reste aérien et souple. À la hauteur des attentes.
2.0Attractive amber with a frothy off white head. This isn't my thing. The nose hints at some funk. The taste is bad orange juice and pickle juice.
4.3Bottle during HF tick fest; hazy amber pour with a thin off white head, aroma has sour and tropical fruit action, taste has smooth tropical fruits, mellow sour hit.
4.1On tap at FoFA 2017, believe it was B2. Hazy copper pour with an off white head. Funky lemon, oak, grass, orange rind, papaya and mango pulp, light chardonnay, moderate carbonation and full body, floral and some passionfruit, some brett and just a heck of a lot going on. Delicious.
3.8My Bottom Line:
Earthy tea, oranges and smoky phenolics meet deep funk in this memorable Barrel-Aged Wild Ale.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the hazy amber.
-Oxidation (voluntary, I presume) takes away from the advertised juiciness.
-Moderate acidity is pleasant.
-Citrus fruit character plays second violin, surprisingly.
Bottle.

375ml bottle poured into a Dogfish snifter.
A~ glowing orange hazy amber, with minimal smooth head.
S~ peppery, pineapple, lemon, lime with a great wine aged fragrance on the finish.
T~ straight pineapples up front with the mouthfeel of pineapple juice kind of like 5GR without the booze. nice funk, peppery saison, and amazing bitterness from the hops on the finish,
M~ smooth with perfect carbonation in my opinion. a lot like the texture of pineapple juice.
O~ incredible! HF never cease to amaze me with their saisons and wilds, every time i drink one i want to try another. at this point its safe to say they are my favorite brewery.
4.4Draft at the source. 2016 vintage. Pours hazy dark gold with an off-white head. Aroma of white wine, fruit, funk. oak. Taste follows nose with some peach and melon notes. Finish is mildly tart and quite complex. Amazing.
4.2Very light hazy copper. Lime, orange, and tropical fruits. Slightly tart (like a shock tart), and fairly funky. Thx Youri (and Patrick!). Cant remember a more drinkable and refreshing sour.
4.0Bottle, sent by SlovakSniper (thanks Pat!), and shared at game night. Very hazy pale yellow with a lively white head. Big juicy tropical fruit flavours, tart/sour, with moderate funk and light grassy notes. Extremely drinkable, really tasty.
4.1375ml b3 bottle pours semi clear dark reddish orange with a half finger of off-pink foam. Nose and taste have big funk, nice layered notes of wood, dried citrus, apricot, orange zest, light spice, touch of toast malt, oak, berry, wine, slight oud bruin character. Funk, funk, more funk. Finishes with moderate tartness. Very good stuff.
4.1375ml bottle from the brewery (thx, Jonathan S.!). Bottled in December 2016, batch #3. Pours a hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is barrel, fermented fruits and veggies, bretts, some sweet notes. Taste is similar with some hoppy bitterness. Very nice and refreshing stuff.
3.4750ml bottle pours out golden topped with a white head. Nose is sour funky notes some barrel notes and barnyard. Taste is more of the sour funky notes some oak barrel notes. I was expecting more but it was fine.
4.0Thanks Brennan for sharing the bottle! Poured into a snifter showing moderately filtered orange with clean white foam lacing.
The nose shows tart notes of apricot and light peach with light acetic notes.
The palate is medium bodied and moderately carbonated. Very lightly tart with flavors of white wine with a white wine bitterness.
4.0Bottle at Ratebeer Best Beer Festival. 31/01/2016. A clear golden amber coloured pour with a fine loose white head. Aroma is smoked lemon, juicy hop, lemon rind. Little tangy on the nose. Flavour is composed of tangy lemon rind, orange, little dank, apricot, preach. Lovely yeast character. Palate is refreshing and tart with highish carbonation.
4.3From bottle at Ratebeer Best festival, Santa Rosa. Unclear orange color with off white head. Malty and yeasty aroma, funky, barnyard notes, citrusy fruity, floral and grassy, wood, vinous. Sweet, acidic and bitter taste like aroma. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.
4.2Sample from bottle@RBB2017: pours pale golden haze with tiny unstable foamy off-white head. Aroma-flavors: intense hop profile with notes of tropical fruits like papaye, mango, pineapple, some citruses etc., hint of hrape in the background, slightly tart mouthfeel, dry finish. Body is moderate, texture soft, carbonation is medium.
3.9Bouteille 37.5cl via trade, bottled 2015-10-10.
4.4Light brown with a small head. Almost exactly like the first batch of Nelson Sauvignon from Mikkeller. There is brett in the nose, dry oak, hints of sauvignon blanc, got that melon wine notes. Taste has slight sour wine notes, loads of Nelson, finish is more bitter than expected, hop character is obvious, more sauvignon blanc notes, almost velvet like. Excellent
4.3As with most HF beers I’ve had, nothing that hits you over the head, just wins you over with it’s expert execution. This yellow sour is equal parts citrusy hops and oaky barnyard funk. Light grass, goes down easy but leaves a lasting impression. Betwween 4.3-4.4 on this one.
4.3375ml bottle shared. Clear copper pour. Aroma is citrus funk amazing. Taste follows, citrus, slightly bitter. So much going on, so glad to try this, crazy beer.
