3.4 05.04.2019-- 0.33l bottle from galeria kaufhof in frankfurt, 2.99€-30%, bb 04.2019. pours a hazy amber with a small head. aroma of caramel malts, prunes, ginger. flavour of booze, malts, ginger. kind of a lighter gingery barleywine.
Textura oleosa. Carbonatación baja.
3.5 Botella. Clear brown, beige head. Ginger cookie dark malty pleasant aroma. Good palate. Sweet flavour! Ginger and dark malt, caramel, some dark fruit.
4.0 Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 30A). Bottle 33 cl - Batch RG.18.02 (BBF 08.2019). AROMA: medium ginger aroma with a medium-low malty note, slightly sweet and with a faint bread crust note. APPEARANCE: ambar color and generally clear but with material in suspension. low ivory head with low retention. TASTE: medium-low ginger flavor, balanced with a toasty, bread crust malt profile. medium to medium-low bitterness with a dry and slightly toasty finish. PALATE: medium body with medium-low carbonation. slight alcohol warmth. OVERALL: a nice and balanced ginger ale, made with a bit more dark malt.
2.5 330 ml. bottle split by two @ Hostel in Zürich. Amber orange, rising bubbles. Nose is weird medicinal grainy caramel, medicinal herbs. Taste is weird cloying ginseng, medicinal, herbal, chemical, strangely medicinal ginseng vs. any ginger. Oddly herbal, caramel body. What is happening here? No proper ginger just this weird fizzy caramel, ginseng, medicinal,… Disappointing.
3.0 Bottled at FNB, Kista. Hazy amber, brief head. Mild ginger aroma. Sweet with medium-full body and rounded mouthfeel. Caramel and ginger. Low bitterness.
3.6 Malty sweetness with just a hint of ginger makes this a well-balanced ginger ale. But it still comes a little to sweet.
3.3 Smell - weak, some ginger. Foam - thin, to watery side, but large inbmoth, when pouring small, orangy, yellow dirty wire color Appearance - half hazy brown orange tea color Taste - sweetness, watered down ginger, some citrus, maybe some real weak bitterness somewhere in aftertaste. Easy drinking, not bad.
2.2 Drank bottled. Botanical aroma. Very tart with mild hints of ginger. Nothing special here.
2.9 Pours rusty with a deep beige head, aroma of caramel, orange and ginger, flavor of orange, malt and ginger, medium bodied
3.9 Bottle@home, from Alko. Medium, bold and balanced nuances of ginger, malts and spices. Ginger and malt flavors are in nice balance. Ginger slightly emphasizes the alcohol flavor. Medium/wide taste spectrum and medium aftertaste with ginger and spices. Medium body and medium carbonation. Overall, very good ginger implementation with rich touch.
3.2 Pours hazy reddish amber with a quickly vanishing soapy head. Zesty scent of freshly grated ginger dominates the aroma. Caramel, cyrup and grapefruit also traceable. Tastewise the ginger is skillfully balanced with caramel-like sweetness and a surprusingly sturdy malty backbone. Medium bodied, nice and soft palate. Particles of yeast can be seen floating around. Long dry finish that leaves ginger tingling in your mouth. This beer was all in all a positive surprise, given that I'm not particularly fond of ginger.
3.4 Klares, rötliches Bernstein mit relativ wenig Schaum. Malzig, etwas Honig, Karamell, würzig, Ingwer, dezent Scharf, süffig.
3.5 Bottle Appearance: copper with an immediately disappearing head, Aroma: caramel, burnt sugar and, of course, ginger notes, but soft and pleasant, Taste: sweet with caramel notes and delicately gingery with slight ginger warming in the throat Very high carbonation
3.9 I really liked this! I was actually surprised. I was really expecting to hate this. The smell from the bottle was more beer-like than I expected. Pouring it into a beer glass, the aroma was much more different, smelling like a gingerbread house and quite malty. The taste was incredible. Not overpowering as I thought it would be judging by the aroma and how ginger tends to be. A slight hint of ginger on the finish, a nice deep, rich, malty taste balanced with the right amount of hoppiness to not make it too malty with a very slight caramel hint. A warming ale.
3.1 Karamellfarget, nesten uten skum. Krydder, ingefær og soya i duften. Følger i smaken. Behagelig karbonisering. Brus!
2.7 3 pack SB 2022-03-04 Göteborg Old 3,3 new 2,2 - really dull, Big change Hitachino Ginger Beer Bottle from Tax Free cons 2018-02-13 Egypt AR: sweet ginger bread AP: cloudy bronze/amber, frothy deminishing ofwhite head F: heavy sweet ginger, bitter, lemon flesh, sugar cake 3,3
2.0 (japonaise avec du gingembre tout doux qui donne une amertume particulière, mais ensemble pas top du tout)
3.0 On tap. Pours a slightly hazy amber-copper with a small, creamy, long lasting, off-white head that laces nicely. Mild, sweet, spicy aroma of caramel malt, ginger and cinnamon. Mild, sweet flavour of toasted malt, caramel and ginger with a dry, spicy, mildly bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. The ginger is subtle, which is good as I am not a fan of ginger beers, but this was ok.
3.3 AR: ginger, caramel, liquid manure AP: flaky coppery amber TA: ginger, malt, caramel
3.3 Bottle at the Spread Eagle, Ipswich. Pours dark amber with a good sized frothy off-white head. Aroma of mild ginger, light spice, toffee and syrup. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Subtle ginger finish but with a little fire to it.
3.4 0,33l bottle. Pours amber with small white head. Ginger is more mild than most ginger ales I have tasted, but in a good way. Its more "rounder" and less tangy. Spices and caramel malt going on too, could not taste the alcohol. Not into ginger ales, but this beer was good.
3.0 Was expecting a light ale with a ginger blast but got a amber beer with loads of malty sweetness, some bitter taste, and very subtle ginger if you look for it. Not the refreshing beer I expected, but still enjoyed it.
3.4 Aroma of citrusy hops and I supposed ginger? Taste is quite heavy on the sweetness with a spicy gingery finish. Tastes quite good.
2.6 330ml Bottle - Dark amber with small head. Strong aroma of ginger but some nuts can be detected too. Spicy, earthy and moderately sweet taste with ginger standing out along with notes of caramel and sultanas.
1.8 sweet malty aroma. palate sweet oxidized buttery. disappointingly almost nonexistant ginger flavor/essence
2.5 330ml bottle from Pinta's in Moscow. Pours hazy brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is ginger, sweet malts, spices. Taste is medium sweet, ginger, syrup, malt.
3.4 Big ginger smells with yeast and malt undertones. Pours an orange brown witha thick off-white fast dissipating head. Almost no lacing. Fascinating mix of hops and ginger tastes with the expectation of ginger sweetness swatted away by a tart long hoppy, yeasty finish. Low carbonation. Nicely balanced and very novel. I like it.
3.1 Pours a light brown with a thin off white head. Ginger jumps out in the aroma, with earthy malt, caramel, spices, and light floral hops are also found. The taste is bitter and quite sweet, and its a candyish sweet at that. Still very heavy in ginger, the floral impressions are rather pronounced in here as well. Underneath we get a slight cinnamon, mild spice, caramel, and cereal. Not very surprisingly, ginger dominates the aftertaste. Medium bodied, thicker in texture, and average in carbonation. To much sugar and ginger. I wasn’t impressed.
3.4 0.33 l bottle from Alko Arkadia, Helsinki (tasted May 19, 2017). Appearance is brown, cloud and with a nice head. Taste is full of ginger, but it is not very spicy. There is enough malt base to balance everything.
