3.5 Color rojo oscuro, casi marrón, sin turbiedad, translúcida. Espuma marfil, de un dedo de espesor y corta retención. Aroma a maltas tostadas, ciruelas y uvas pasas, vino y, al atemperar, licor y notas especiadas. Sabor en esa línea, con el alcohol más notable y punzante, regaliz y licor al atemperar, final de amargor medio. Textura acuosa y ligeramente oleosa. Carbonatación media media alta.

3.5 0,15l from a bottle @ Bierhaus München. Pours cloudy amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma is sweet malts with some oak. Flavor is sweet malts, oak, alcohol, hops. Pretty good.

3.0 Belle couleur cuivrée presque limpide. Mousse quasiment inexistante. Nez bien malté, bien rond avec des notes de caramel et de miel. Carbonatation assez violente, amertume assez importante dès l'entrée de bouche. C'est très sec et l'alcool se fait vite sentir (sans doute le saké). On retrouve le duo caramel/miel avec du boisé très présent en fin de bouche, et qui perdure longuement. C'est très brut de décoffrage, pas fan... :/

4.0 Bière brune légèrement ambrée et équilibré, amertume et fruité, mousse agréable

3.1 33 cl, bottled. Pours red with a small white head. Aroma: Berries, winegummmy notes. Boiled rice. Taste: Medium sweet, some bitterness. Strong licorice in flavour, herbal tones. Palate: Light-medium body, some carbonation. Interesting sipper.

3.6 Pours from the bottle murky light brown with thin cream color head, sugary aroma with notes of honey, sharp bitterness thet turns to bozzy sweetness

4.3 Bottle. Cloudy dark gold with a thin lasting mid-tan head. Nose is confectionery sherbet and lemon drops. Taste is a little whisky note, mixed with sweet malts. Warming. Delicious. Delightful.

3.5 33 cl fles. Amber/rood koperkleurig bier met een weinig crème kleurig schuim. Geur: zoet, rozijn, mout, fruitig, aardbei, pruim, wat snoeperig. Smaak: licht zoet, fruitig, vineus, licht alcoholisch. Medium koolzuurprikkel. Medium volmondig.

3.3 330ml bottle. Cloudy, dark amber-ish, brown colour with small, frothy, rapidly diminishing, minimally lacing, off-white head. Fruity yeasty and slightly spicy yeasty aroma, hints of dried fruit, a touch of clove, aniseed, Sake overtones. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel malty and yeasty fruity, minimally spicy, hints of dried fruit, raisin, plum, a fresher touch of lychee, pear and apricot as well, spicy hints of clove, Sake, minimally sticky palate.

3.5 Bottle@home, from Alko webshop. Strong, averagely balanced nuances of dry dark fruits, malts, wood, some spices and a hint of toffee. Wide taste spectrum and medium aftertaste with toffee and malty caramel. Medium/strong body with medium carbonation. Overall, good, sturdy combination of malty and boozy qualities.

3.2 It pours amber with orange tinges; the head is off white and foamy. The aroma has notes of: stewed prunes, apricots, caramel, and rum. The taste is lightly sweet that finishes medium bitter. The palate is medium bodied with light carbonation and a long finish. Overall, it tastes oxidized.

3.7 Bottle. Brown color with quite small off-white head. Aroma has caramel, sake, malt and yeast. Taste is malty sweet with quite long a bit sweet aftertaste. Flavors of caramel, nuts, yeast, sake, fruits.

3.7 Bottle from Alko shared. Pours brown color. Aroma of dark fruits, wood, alcohol, syrup, sweetness, malts, toffee, honey, raisins and caramel. Medium plus body, sweet dark fruity taste with good amount of alcohol. Good beer, quite strong even for the ABV, a bit different from your average Belgian ale.

3.4 33 cl. bottle @ home, served in a teku glass. Due date: 05/2019. Aroma: not very intense aromas of caramel, toasted malts, some spirits, wood. Hints of spices, herbs, burnt caramel, dark dried fruits, orange, sweet alcohol. Appearance: amber to dark amber color with some reddish overtones and beige head made of tiny bubbles. Medium head thickness with low to medium retention and very no Brussels' lacing. Medium haziness. Taste: medium to high sweetness, low bitterness, no sourness. Very intense flavors of caramel, dark dried fruits, toasted malts, sweet alcohol, liquor, wood, oak, honey, sherry, toffee, toasted malts, brown sugar. Hints of burnt caramel, spices. Balance is towards the sweet side but is very enjoyable and not cloying. Much more sweet at first and increasingly bitter towards the finish. Palate: medium body, oily texture, low carbonation, very long sweet and bitter finish with low to medium sweetness and low to medium bitterness and the same aforementioned flavors. Alcohol is quite noticeable through its sweetness and mouth and throat warming. Low astringency. Overall: quite good appearance, not very intense aromas but powerful flavors of caramel, dark dried fruit, toasted malts, sweet alcohol. Quite complex flavors . I couldn't notice the Sake overtones. It would be better with less noticeable alcohol and more bitterness to balance the sweetness. Interesting. I don't think it fits very well into the Belgian Strong Ale category, maybe more close to a Brown Ale.

3.8 Robe orange sombre, trouble, mousse faible. Au nez, arôme de Barley wine, sucré, épais, chaud. Arômes de chocolat, fruits des bois, épices, arrière-goût étrange, sûrement du fût de saké. Très légère amertume maltée. Le tout, bien que dense et épais, est harmonieux, et pas écoeurant.

3.7 Rood bruin kleur met een dunne witte schuimkraag die snel verdwijnt. Rozijnen en rijp rood fruit in de neus. Medium tot volle mondgevoel, lage carbonatie. Smaak is zoet en bitter met vergelijkbare smaken als bij de neus alsmede drop, iets caramel en gist. Afdronk is iets bitter en van medium lengte.

3.7 Sour. I wasn't expecting that. Has a rich oak taste and some dough. Nice aroma too.

4.0 Аромат весьма сладкий, немного солодовый, карамельный с оттенком сухофруктов. Цвет коричневый, полу темный и почти прозрачный, с легким осадком. Вкус слегка дрожжевой, очень солодовый похожий на барливайн. Послевкусие умеренно сладкое с оттенками меда и легкой кислинкой. В целом пиво реально похоже на ячменное вино.

3.6 Bottle. Caramel pour with a small off-white head. Aroma is lychee, caramel, a little musty. Taste is light caramel and lychee as well, a little oaky, a bit light bodied but really interesting, mostly comes together.

3.8 FromAushopping Louvroil >> Beau nez liquoreux. Belle robe cuivrée quasi sans col qui livre un nez complexes: liquoreux et caramélisé sur des notes boisées et surettes provenant de la barrique de saké. En bouche les arômes se déclinent sur des notes de poivre, de vanille et de prune confite. La une texture est liquoreuse fortement caramélisée dense mais équilibrée au palais. La finale aigre-douce et grasse. Super gouleyante

3.5 (Une bouteille provenant de Beer Distributor): Une touche d'acidité dans une caramélisation soutenue. C'est assez pétillant avec une finale minérale. Le côté fruité abricot/fraise est aussi un joueur important. Un barleywine de soif.

4.2 A trop vouloir en faire, on en perd de la subtilité. Voilà l'enseignement que l'on peut tirer de cette XH, qui d'après le brasseur utilise davantage de malt et de houblon que la normale. Côté IBU, on n'est tout de même pas dans l'extrême avec 37. Par contre, la présence en bouche est intéressante avec une grosse densité aromatique. On y perd par contre en subtilité et en finesse, ce qui est dommageable. En verre ambré foncé tirant sur le brun (EBC aux environs de 34) avec une mousse blanche clairsemée. Le nez se porte sur le pruneau, les fruits confits, l'orange amère et le résineux. L'ensemble tournant au liquoreux. La présence sucrée est en effet bien présente en bouche, ce qui renforce cette sensation à la fois d'ampleur et de lourdeur en bouche. La complexité également est au rendez vous avec un mélange de pruneau, fruits confits, orange, épices et résineux. Le cocktail Chinook (épicé), Simcoe (résines et agrumes) et Styrian Golding (résine, agrumes, épices) est relevé. D'ailleurs la seconde bouche monte d'un cran sur les épices avec cependant une arrière bouche relativement linéaire. La troisième bouche monte quant à elle sur l'amertume pour laisser place à un final un peu court, sur lequel l'alcool se positionne un peu plus l'alcool en compagnie de résineux. Peu d'évolution donc dans la dégustation avec une bière très homogène. Dommage qu'elle manque de charme.

3.7 Belgian Strong Ale z Japoni leżakowane w beczkach po sake. alk. 8%. Piana skąpa i po chwili znika prawie do zera. Kolor herbaciany z pływającymi farfoclami drożdżowymi. Aromat słodki, słodowe, owocowy. Smak słodowośc ciasteczkowa, suszone owoce, nuty od drewna, wyraźna ziołowa goryczka i nuta szlachetnego alkoholu. Całość złożona bogata w smaki, gładka, nie przesłodzona, charakter belgijski miesza sie z angielskim klasycznym BW i to jest atut tego piwa Powiedział bym że jest wyjątkowe w swoim rodzaju. Bardzo Dobre. po ogrzaniu w aromacie wyszły orzechy włoskie :)
