2.8 On tap at a random restaurant in Brussels, july 29. Pours hazy orange with a white head. Aroma is sweet fruity, lots of lemon with soap notes, very light wheat and spices in the background. Taste is very sweet lemon, very light bitterness, finish has some lemon acidity.
1.4 Absoluut mijn ding niet, alhoewel er wel lekkere citroenbieren op de markt zijn.
2.0 Bona cervesa, és bastant equilibrada i gustosa. Buena cerveza, es bastante equilibrada y sabrosa.
2.3 Appearance: Hazy pale yellow color with an ok white head. Aroma: Lemon. Palate: Medium (-) body. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Average carbonation. Taste: Lemon. Overall impression: Ok when it is really hot. Personal stats: Can from Boni in Odijk, Netherlands.
1.9 Leicht trübes leuchtend gelbes Getränk mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch erfrischend nach Lemon. Geschmack nach Lemon, guter Durstlöscher, leider ohne Biergeschmack.
1.7 250ml bottle at home. Pours hazy lemon, smells like hazy lemon, tastes like hazy lemon. Has an artificial sweetener vibe going on. Nasty.
2.5 Bottle 25cl, a cloudy pale yellow beer with medium head. Nose is very lemony and a bit sharp. Aroma is more balanced, light malt notes, medium sweet, lemon touch, bit aspartame like, low body, just drinkable.
2.6 Frisk duft av hvete og sitron. Sitron gul farge. Lite skum. Frisk smak av sitron.
0.6 Bière inutile. Gout fruité et sucré. Très artificiel. Pour supermarché. A éviter.
2.0 Drinkable and nice for a hot day but not a beer really. Not a serious beer. Lemony surprise surprise and light.
2.4 19.08.2013. 0,25l Bottle. Brussel. Yellow colour with white head. Strong aroma of lemon obviously. Medium rather thin body. Low bitterness from hops, but there is some faint bitterness from the lemon. Fresh and pretty good.
1.1 White, yellow, a bit white foam. Taste is watery and very artificial. Sweet like limonade but watery aftertaste.
2.2 33cl can. Pours a light hazy yellow colour with a thin lacing. Aroma of citrus, obviously. Acid and citrus flavour with medium to low carbonation. Like a bad soda.
1.9 Can. Slightly hazy watery light yellow color with no head. Aroma of lemon and wheat. Taste of sweet lemonade with some wheat in it. Thin body.
3.3 i thought to myself, lets but some crap ! . a radler, i supose , withoud it being called that . drinking all 3 of the baddest things i could find, next to eachother . unratable hoegaarden rosee 0,0 ABV , and previously rated maes radler. all are can , 33 cl . smell is lemon . pours quite light and fuzzy yellow. almost , indeed , ’white’ . its slightly lighter than the maes radler . of course, the rosee is uncomparable in anything. its just also bad , thats why it could join this vertical . big foam ( though the can was shaked a bit ) that lasts quite long. subtile carbonation. soft lemon, bread-ish notes , also get much of the hoegaarden taste ( even though hoegaarden doesnt got that much taste to begin with ) where the maes is more harsh , this is more subtile, and in a weird way, more complex. No memorable diffrences to me , i’m sure, but when drinking these side by side they do taste a lot diffrent from eachother . its actualy pretty OK
1.4 Bottle 0.25l at home. Originally rated 25062012. Colour is yellow with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Citrus, fruits and water. Horrible.
3.2 Can from Vaals, Netherlands shared with McTapps. Starting of you get that crazy citrus aroma which is sour and artificial. But from the back to the front comes that huge Hoegaarden which makes even that pissy beer-mix a classic. Coriander and oranges save that one from being a bad one. No, they make this one a good and drinkable one.
2.3 Can. Milky light yellow colour with low steady head and thin body. Nose of lime juice. Taste of mild Belgian witbier with a light freshly pressed lime juice hint. Easy to drink but little bit too thin and watery.
1.5 250ml bottle (Janoinen Lohi, Helsinki, Kalakierros 2013) lemonade aroma. pale and hazy actually quite disturbing. Disgusting lemonadey taste. Shitty lemoade and shitty wheatbeer mixed = shit. InBev, go kill yourselves.
1.3 Hazy yellow, fizzy short head. Lemon sweet like aroma, soda. Fair mouthfeel. Soda pop fizzy lemon citrus flavour.
1.4 Bottle @ Home. Pours hazy pale yellow with a fast fading white head. Aroma of sweet artificial lemon, candy, sugar. Flavor is sugar, sweets, candy, artificial lemon / citrus. Thin watery body, lively carbonation. I geuss its allright as a soft drink ala Fanta lemon, as a beer its awfull. 260213
1.6 Hoegaarden is already characterized by its strong citrus appeal. I’m not sure why this beer was necessary at all. Watery, more lemonade, than beer.
Test vom 17.11.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 5,6,6,3,5,5 - 5,00
2.0 Cloudy pale yellow colour with no head. Citrus and acidic aroma. Citrus and acidic flavour with a sweet undertone. Limonade beer. (Bottle 25cl)
1.6 25 cl bottle in Brussels. Pale yellow beer with no head. Citrus aroma and flavour. Thin and not nice at all. Beer?
2.1 0.33l can. This is a light cloudy yellow-milky colored thing with a small lasting just off-white head. Smells artificial with lime, sugar and lemon. It’s actually really refreshing in flavor. A bit, or make that extremely sweet, but absolutely lemony and quenching while eating a chicken sandwich in the sun. 09.08.2012
1.7 Details: 33cl can Tasting notes: Pours a lightyellow color with a white head. Aroma of citrus, lemon, sweet. Flavor is very sweet, has a slight malty touch but is dominated by again citrus and lemon. Finish is sweet and fades almost immediately. Conclusion: This is lemonade.. . Note to the producers: make it 0% ABV and sell it as a lemonade, then you’ll have a decent product in my opinion.
2.3 Light yellow and hazy. Has a white head, mostly diminishing. Aroma is fruity, citrus, lemon. Flavor starts heavy sweet, then some acidic, no bitterness. Light syrupy texture. And artificial sweetners dosn’t belong in beers!
1.6 lemon and lime aroma, pale, hazy, white foam, light sweetness, thin feel, fizzy, lively,
1.2 Bottle. Some kind of pale color, absolutely no head. Lemon and citrus aroma. Artificial citrus flavor with pepper. "Any sign of the beer, Fawlty?" "Beers off, sorry... "
