Lidt kedelig i smagen, underligt bitter. Ingenlunde den bedste pale jeg har smagt
Old rating from 2017 - 330ml bottle brought back from my Belgium road trip. Pours amber with a white head. Aromas & tastes of pineapple, mango, papaya, spice, nuts & malt. Moderate body. Dry slight alcohol finish
Large foamy white head stayed on a finely carbonated, unclear light amber body.
Tea, spices & herbal aroma.
Medium bodied, tingly on the tongue & a cloying back.
Herbaceous, Belgian yeast, spiced, tea & coriander tastes with a boozy finish.

Uklar rav gylden, lidt hvid skum. Aroma er hvede øl, blomster og lidt æblemost. Smagen er sød, blomstret, hvede, en lille smile mild bitterhed i eftersmagen.

Dorée-bronzée très légèrement trouble, fine mousse beige abondante. Arômes : poire, orange, coriandre, café, chocolat, caramel. Légère acidité et amertume moyenne. Recette délicate et équilibrée.
Birra torbida con una bella schiuma pannosa e persistente. Aroma fruttato con un forte odore di lievito, al gusto sprigiona tutta la sua bontà. Quasi al limite per essere troppo frizzante ma se servita alla temperatura giusta (5/6 ºC) il gusto fruttato prevale. Si sente anche la presenza di un gusto pepato. A metà birra comincia a sentirsi anche l’alcool :D

Pours a hazy amber colour with a medium sized throthy off-white head. Aromas of banana, cloves, coriander, pear and peppery spice. Taste has the same notes as the aroma with some added caramel, hints of floral and a little brown sugar. Medium bodied with a fairly smooth slightly oily mouthfeel. Nice one.
Goudblond wazig bier met voldoende koolzuur. Geur hooi, citrus, koriander. Smaak tarwe, koriander, citrus, karamel, kruidig. Medium vol mondgevoel. Nasmaak zoet kruidig. Kan me noch steeds niet echt bekoren.
Aroma: Medium-high sweet pear. Light hints of spiciness, coriander.
Appearance: Slightly hazy gold with floaters. Small, white head. Low retention. Fine bubbles. The floaters break up later, leaving a cloudy beer.
Flavour: Medium pear, medium spiciness, pepper. Medium-light lavender. Dry finish with spiciness, lavender.
Mouthfeel: Slightly soapiness. Medium-full body, Medium carbonation. Slight warmth.
Overall: The appearance is not pretty directly after the pour, but the floaters broke up after a minute or two. Great aroma and flavour. I would love to drink this beer if it was well taken care of.

Si on ne peut retirer à cette Hoegaarden grand cru sa belgitude, on frise ici quelque peu à la caricature. La délicatesse n'en sort pas grandi même si globalement elle tient la route. Je préfère ne dire mot sur la mention Grand Cru, au risque de devenir grossier. Le visuel est sur un blond orangé légèrement trouble avec une mousse blanche nappant tout juste la surface. Me nez est franc sur la coriandre, le citron, les céréales, l'alcool et une levure aux accents de banane. A la dégustation, tout est trop poussé, la douceur, les épices, l'alcool, stéréotypé au maximum. Heureusement une petite acidité à l'attaque et en deuxième bouche vient casser la lourdeur. On retrouve de façon assez homogène les arômes présents au nez. L’arrière-bouche est quant à elle sur un alcool faisant plus que ses 8,5%. Très bonne corpulence néanmoins. Le final nous laisse tout de même sur une bonne amertume salvatrice. Un peu de finesse s'il vous plait...
Pas très fan de cette bière, un peu trop trouble pour me plaire visuellement, un peu trop... je ne sais pas, mais pas fan.
0.33 bottle. Szép az üveg, és a sör világos borostyán színe is. Habból csak pici marad, de az végig. Mazsolás, picit alkoholos, összességében elég egyedi, közepesen intenzív illat. Kandis cukros, édeskés, alkoholos ízzel nyit. Ahogy melegszik, gyümölcsösebb lesz. Minimális keserűség, közepesnél komolyabb test, kicsit talán túl szénsavas. A búzasörös élesztős jegyek háttérben, de "bolondítanak" rajta.. Finom.

The bottle is nice and the beer is also light amber in color. Only a tiny bit of foam remains, but all the way through. Raisins, slightly alcoholic, overall quite unique, moderately intense aroma. Kandis opens with a sugary, sweet, alcoholic taste. As it warms up, it becomes more fruity. Minimal bitterness, more than average body, a little maybe too carbonated. Wheat beer yeast notes in the background, but they "fool" on it .. Delicious.

Cloudy yellow colour. Aroma of wheat, herbs , coriander and some orange. Sweet.
18/20 amazing wheat beer, like normal hoegaarden but with a bit more depth. tastes nothing like 8.5%. as wheat beers go it's perfection
33 cl fles. Troebel goudblond bier met wit schuim. Geur: gist, tarwe, kruidig, wat 4VG. Smaak: licht zoet, wat kruidig, kruidnagel, koriander, wat citrus. Medium volmondig. Medium koolzuurprikkel. Tiens, had dit vroeger ook al 4VG?

Cerveza belga de altísima intensidad aromática donde se aprecia un sabor cítrico atenuado por el amargor del cilantro y un envolvente dulzor de albaricoque.
coriandre. citron. céréales. on sent bien les 8.5 d alcool. belle mousse. bien orangée.
Pours a slightly cloudy amber with lively carbonation, but a quickly disappearing head. Lots of sediment floating about!
Aroma is coriander, orange, wheat, spice, caramel, glucose, hay, yeast and mint. Taste is very sweet with some bitterness in a boozy long finish.
Not a huge fan of the standard Hoegarrden, but this is much better and hats off to such a big brewery producing something like this.

Bière blanche un pei trouble, mousse blanche, nez et bouche extrêmement parfumés et fruités, une réussite Grand Cru!! 8,5 degrés.
plutot pas mal malgré mon à priori, fort de caractère . Bu chez le Cat à Rhode Saint Genèse
Ljust gul, dimmig. Doften fruktig, söt med syrlighet. Smak av passionsfrukt o krusbär, avrundas med lite mandel o diskret beska. Tillhör den lite lättare gruppen av kategorin strong blond/tripel. Som Karmeliet o La Chouffe tex.
Light amber and hazy with a thin head.
Sweet, grainy smell with a little spiciness. Sweet, candylike malty taste with a soft bitterness. The coriander and the orange peel give this beer this typical Hoegaarden feeling in the mouth. Medium carbonation.
The alcohol level of 8,5% is not palatable, maybe due to the beer's content of glucose syrup. Nonetheless it's a nice beer.
De color ámbar, con una gran cabeza espumosa. Cuerpo medio y carbonatación ligera. Aroma cítrico y afrutado aunque con menor intensidad. En boca tiene un sabor intenso agradable.
