Hoegaarden Verboden Vrucht

Hoegaarden Verboden Vrucht

The Verboden Vrucht (Forbidden Fruit) is one of a kind. It is traditionally brewed with a mysterious blend of dark malts and flavored with spices. It underwent a slow second fermentation in the bottle so it matures into a delicious tasting beer with a complex flavor and a wonderful flavor balance between sweet and dry. Keep up this beer in a dark place and pour it at 5-6°C. Flavored with spices.

4.0 Muy muy rica. No se nota la graduación al tragar.
3.8 Bottle. Aroma of spice, orange peel, marmalade, light coriander, and anise. Mild orange/amber color, with one finger of off-white foam. Smooth dark fruit, some stone fruit, caramel, with spices coming through nicely, and Belgian yeast bite. Medium-heavy body, with lots of carbonation foaming up in mid palate. Rich and tasty.
3.6 Bottle. Almost clear a.k.a. slightly cloudy amber/orange sporting a firm white head. Aroma of brown sugar, malts, candied fruits, vanilla, clove and assorted herbs. Taste is all that plus apricots, hints of apples, caramel, raisins, spices and honey. Moderate bitterness. Medium carbonation. Mouthfeel is kind of sticky. It’s a little bit boozy and probably more than capable of creating an impressive headache if consumed irresponsibly. Good stuff. Improves immensely with time.
3.5 Brown colour. Aroma is figs, raisin, dough, juniper. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Lively carbonation. Good.
3.9 Verassend lekker
3.0 0,3 liter bottle. It's a nice beer, one that probably will return in my fridge.
4.1 Bronze légèrement trouble, fine mousse brune abondante. Arômes : poire, fruit des bois, café, caramel, épice. Amertume et saveur alcoolique bien présente. Une recette riche mais équilibrée.
3.5 Cloudy Brown color with a medium creamy white head. Yeasty with dried fruit stone fruit berry roast spices to the nose. Toasty malts with toffee and roasted notes. Dried fruits, raisins and berries with spices (clove cinamon etc.). Medium body with gentle carbonation alcohol warmth in the end with a sweet finish. Warmth going through a spicy aftertaste. Interesting beer hits you hard but very enjoyable in its simplicity.
3.5 Rocky off white head left a foamy cover on a dark amber body. Spices, tea & caramel aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with clean back. Bitter/sweet dried fruits, spices, tea, malt & caramel tastes. Similar to an English Ale.
3.3 Botella 33cl Color cobrizo-rojizo,espuma beige,fina,alta,resistente.Aroma platano,frutos secos,especias,caramelo,bizcocho,miel.
3.2 Bottle. Pours brown with medium white head and a lot of residue. Aroma is fruity, caramel, toffee, some apple, sweet, caramel cake, some sweet candies. Taste is caramel, bitter, watery, some fruits, burned sugar, some raisin, light toffee, some candies. Nice beer!
3.6 17/20 like hoegaarden grand cru with a bit of spice and mystery. very good beer. tastes like a really boozy wheat beer.
2.7 Aroma; spices, malts, grain, yeast. Look; fawn head on amber body, clear at first, hazy later. Taste; syrup, spices, grain, bread, floral yeast, nectarine, apricot jam, dark plum, and leading to a fruitful average finish. Feel; okay body n co². Overall; alright. 3.9 Bottle given to me from my friend Sam. Pours a murky muddy brown colour with a reddish hue and a large thick creamy beige head. Nice lacing. Aromas of strong bananas and cloves, dry dark fruits, caramel, toffee, spice, bread, brown sugar and yeast. Taste is the same notes again as the aroma with predominant notes of bananas and cloves, some spice, a little sweetness and some warming alcohol. Medium bodied with a slight fizz on the palate, smooth slightly oily mouthfeel and a long fruity, spicy and slightly sweet finish. An excellent flavourful beer.
3.7 Hazy amber-brownish colour. Typical Hoegaarden smell, a complex mixture of fruitiness and spiciness with hints of bread and meat. The taste is similar. Some vanilla in the back. The aftertaste is a bit flat though. Quite an interesting beer!
2.6 Fudge brown with a frothy head. The typical spicy smell of Hoegaarden beers. Spicy taste with a dominant bitterness and a fruity, candylike ending. But this is one of those beers that taste excellent at the first few sips, getting bland at the following ones.
Aroma intensos a plátano, levadura y cilantro.
3.3 Hoeggarden Forbidden Fruit 8.5% Plum brown opaque with a fat light beige head and a yeasty bready soft spicy aroma. Medium bodied and smooth with a scratchy mouthfeel. The taste is a touch boozy but also bread pudding, caramel and spices. Not the best dark Belgian ale but OK.
3.5 Botella de 33 cl @ Saveur Biere online store. Color caoba, oro viejo. Espuma blanca, generosa y con buena retención. Aromas a levadura, plátano, cilantro y caramelo. Rica.
3.8 Really great and all good around beer.. The beer is rich, with great aroma and taste.. The taste give you many caramel, chocolate and fruity flavors and you get some bitterness finish.. The corboration is lively and general the entire beer is like that.. Also the beer is slightly spicy. Overall one great beer for the style and in general.. Really i enjoy it. Delicious!
3.7 Bottle. Dark brown-amber. Beige head. Aroma of toast, caramel and Belgian yeast. Semi-sweet taste. Medium bodied. Not bad at all.
3.7 Copenhagen 28/9 2019. 33 cl bottle from Voldby Købmandsgaard (Web-shop). Painting of Adam offering Eve the forbidden fruit on the label. No signs of the snake. Pours murky, unclear amber with a big white head. Settles as thin layer of foam just managing to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Massive lacing. Aroma is fairly intense, sweet with notable hints of alcohol. Caramel, Banana, Brown sugar, hints of booze and cognac. Some humid basement lurking in there. Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, smooth texture. Flavor has a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet. Lingering. Quite sweet but tasty and easily drinkable bruin.
