3.5Botella. GUSHER big time when opened. Deep dark red hazy to cloudy colour, no head. Sweet sour rubber almost like an English cider aroma with berry to it. Ok mouthfeel. Sour cider runner berry flavour..... cherry rubber sour.... Kriek????? Yes WILD ale.
4.3Draft @ Dok Brewing Company, Ghent. Beautiful red colour, pink foam. Very fruity cherry nose along, sweet cherries, tartness, easy drinkability. Great kriek!
3.211.2 oz. bottle. Poured red/pink, pink head. Aroma of sour fruit, musty, sour cherries. Taste was sour, tart, cherry, berries, funky.
3.5Bottle. Pours deep murky red. Aroma is sour cherries, little funk, yoghurt, phenols. Body is medium, strong cherries and berries, quite sweet and also tart. Still quite sweet, this beer will change with age. Good.
4.3Bottle. Tobacco aroma, cherry jam. Beautiful deep red colour. No head. The flavour is citric with a good cherry note. Sour and sweet. But in good balance.
3.3On tap at Koht. Pours bordeaux red colour with medium size pinkish head, which disappears quite quickly. Vinegar and rotten cherries in the aroma. Hints of burnt caramel too. Sweetness, notes of rotten cherries and burnt caramel in the taste. Notes of berries and acidity in the aftertaste. Reminds rather some kind of the flamish red and oud bruin hybrid than kriek. I dont know if the rotten cherries soppose to be in the taste or is it the bottom of the keg.
3.9Hazy red body. White fizzy head. Aroma of true cherries, yoghurt, ... heavily sour, moderately sweet tart flavour. Nice one. Well balanced.
3.816-06-18 // tap, taster at Festival der Bierkulturen Köln 2018. Murky red. Sour cherry. Good one.

3.7Bottle @ home. Gusher, but I expected it since it's Hof ten Dormaal. Purple colour with no head. Smells sour, fruity, cherry, red fruits, slightly minty, slightly dusty. Tastes sour, red fruits, cherry. Medium body, nice carbo.
3.0Tap at koht. Pours red. Aroma is sour, vinegar, cherry. Flavor is sour, sweet, vinegar, cherries. Finish is vinegary, sour, sweet. Overall: okish.
3.1Bottle. Huge gusher, more than half of the bottle is spilled. Not the first Hof Ten Dormaal gusher... Color: Very hazy pinkish red, thin pink head. Aroma: Sour red fruit, cherries. Taste: Acidic sour, sour cherries and red fruit. Lightly sweet and very lightly bitter notes. Out of balance. Minus point for another gusher.
3.2330ml bottle. Gusher. Hazy murky purpur colour, very fizzy pink head. Aroma of cherries, slightly vinegary, woody. Taste is vinegary, cherries, hints of vanilla, rotten fruits, woody. Feels bit watery, fizzy carbonation. Out of balance and tastes rotten.
Rerate at Pühaste Õllepidu

3.8Rami Rami is drinking a Kriek by Brouwerij Hof Ten Dormaal at Mikkeller Bar Warsaw
Malo dziki, ale fajowo pestkowy, nieco taniczny, srednio kwasny a polpelny. Ciekawy i ryli dobry. Wisnie rzadzo! Z plusikiem...

3.6Pirkts Beļģijā on tap. Ļoti laba dabīgo ķiršu garša un pēcgarša. Aromāta kimiska smarža. Garšīgs.
3.9Juicy cherry, sweetish with enough tartness to feel very fresh. Light sweetness with light tartness. Very nice
3.6Bottle - Samobor tasting - thanks Bazz! Murky purple-red body, really does look like a Pago juice. Dry hayish salty aroma, dry cherry really, not that fruity there. The taste, however, gives out lovely, genuine cherry juice notes, with some sharp tartness. Really nice in some aspects, less in others, but a nice enough beer overall.
3.4Bottle from Systembolaget. Fruity and tart. Similar taste. I get more apples then cherries. Very tart.
4.7It says on the bottle that it's sauer, so it is. But I'd say not extremely, quite nicely. Very dark color, quite cloudy. Just a bit of carbonation. The taste is sauer, fruity, you can feel very nice cherry in the midst of all. Quite refreshing overall.
3.8For a Belgian Sour that's relatively inexpensive and easy to come by, Hof ten Dormaal Kriek has much of the traditional taste and old world charm that you'd usually have to search harder and pay more for. Characteristic red pour with a fizzy strawberry-colored head. The acidity was apparent - my bottle was a bit of a gusher. Fleshy cherry and horse blanket aromas. Wonderfully balanced palate. Cherry notes are lightly tart. Likewise, the funk is noticeable but mild. Some cheese and apple cider vinegar nuances. Lively carbonation. Overall, quite lovely.
3.9Bottled from Systembolaget, vintage 2017. Pours red with a medium size pink head. Alot of cherries and marzipan in the aroma, mild woody notes. Tart mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Tart taste, that tartness that goes really far back in the mouth. Berries, cherry, green apples and cedar. Tart and dry finish.
3.6Alone at home. Brown colored beer with small white head and no carbonation. Fruited cherry aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is sour cherry sweet.
4.212 oz bottle shared at the November DC RateBeer tasting. Thanks Chris! Slightly hazy pinkish red with off-white pink head. Aromas of cherries, berries, tart notes. Tastes of cherries, tart notes, funk, light vanilla. Light body with a dry finish. Delicious.
3.812oz (or 11.2oz) bottle at the November DC Ratebeer tasting. Poured a bright ruby red color with a pink head. Aroma was a lot of funky cheese, armpit? Cherry skins. Flavor was dark, cherries. Some light sour, but not overly sour.
3.3From a bottle at the November RB DC tasting. Thanks, Chris!. It is a cloudy rosey color with a pinkish white head. The Aroma shouts sour and the taste is sour with no distinct flavor and a tart finish.sours are still not my favorite.
3.9From a bottle at the November RB DC tasting. Thanks, Chris!. Pours a cloudy rose with a pinkish white head. Aromas of cherries and funk. Flavors are moderate sour. Smooth, tart finish.
3.6Hof ten Dormaal's Zure impregnated with sour cherries, in the new packaging and labelling style. Fortunately I have a habit of opening any Dormaal beer above the sink: pink beer streamed out of the bottle neck upon opening - sigh... Medium thick, regular, moussy, pale fuchsia-tinged head immediately dissolving in the middle but well-retaining around the edge, over a misty, deep rosé-wine-coloured beer with ruby red hue. Aroma of sour cherry juice, cherry pits and skins, sour yoghurt and curdled milk, spoiled beetroot, red wine vinegar or very old red wine gone sour, stewed sour apples, redcurrant, some sweet red raspberry and ripe blue plum notes, brown soap, vague manure-like touch and even something slightly plastic-like in the background. Very spritzy onset, heavily overcarbonated even for a sour, stinging the tongue agressively and clouding the finesses of the flavour a bit, until it calms down and unveils a rich blanket of sour cherry flesh and sour cherry juice resting over the entire beer, with a lot of juiciness in the onset, even with a sweet, ripe plum-, ripe red apple- and even very vaguely candied cherry-like core to it; this crisp and explicit sourness and subdued sweetness has nice wry edges from the cherry skins, adding some complexity. Bready malt backbone, with further breadiness added by the yeast in the end; crisp, almost puckering sourness, not just from the sour cherries but from the bacterial effects of the basic sour ale as well, agressively pierces through this breadiness and becomes almost vinegary at certain moments. Ends with this same sourness, soft wryness from the cherry skins lingering and even reinforced by a more bitter wryness from - I guess - the pits; yeasty, almost somewhat starchy character becomes more apparent in the end as the sediment is added. Meanwhile this weird, almost candied cherry-like sweet hint, however subtle as it may be, keeps shyly popping up under all this sourness and tartness, and does so in a charming way; a dash of late, 'deep', earthy hop bitterishness is thrown in a the end for good measure. The sourness, almost burning after swallowing, remains the main factor here, so you'll really have to like sour beer styles in order to appreciate this - American geeks surely will and I have to admit that I do too, provided there is enough complexity to it, so even in spite of that off-putting 'Dormaal gushing' as I am almost inclined to call it, this is a pleasant enough, 'rural', naturally sour and crisp 'zure kriek'. It does not have the same depth and infinite complexity as the best of the traditional lambic krieks of course, will doubtlessly be too harsh in its acidity for many, and it has a few faint 'off-flavours' in the nose, but it sure can compete with many modern, American and other attempts at achieving the same effect without applying actual spontaneous fermentation and long term barrel aging. Quite pleasant, overall, a 'happy accident' in some ways like many other Dormaal beers and in need of some more finetuning, but quenching, uncompromizing, 'honest' and generous in its added fruitiness - have a point for that.
