Hofbräu München Oktoberfestbier

Hofbräu München Oktoberfestbier

The Munich Beer Festival, or Oktoberfest, is an event of superlatives - it’s the largest popular festival in the world, staging in the beer metropolis of Munich. Millions of visitors from all over the world flock along every year to enjoy its very special atmosphere.

For this occasion, Hofbräu brews a rich, full-bodied beer which goes down ideally with traditional Bavarian cuisine. With its deliciously bitter taste and alcoholic content of 6.3% volume, Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier is as special as the Beer Festival itself.

3.4 50cl bottle while in Munich pours a lightly hazy gold with a rocky cap of white head. Nose has malt and honey and bread dough. Flavors are the same, some grains, corn, honey, dough, yeast. Finishes off dry but very smooth.
3.6 Bottle 50 cl. Clear golden, white foam. Aroma is breadiness, wet leafs, slight cookies. Taste is low to moderate bitter, base of malt and bread, slight bitter in the finish. Small bubbles, medium carbo, medium bodied. Well done.
4.0 Superb beer golden malty just super drinkable a Munich classic
2.6 Pours gold with a fading head. Nose shows soft spicy and grassy hops, faint bready malt. Flavours include bready malt, slight cardboard and soft spicy hops.
3.6 330ml bottle. Pours a pale gold with a white head quickly gone. Malty bread and biscuits smells. Nice malt forward flavors with some balancing hops but good bready tastes dominate. Dry mouthfeel and astringent finish. Nice festbier. Super drinkable.
3.5 Classic Oktoberfest beer - shared many over the years. Never turn one down
3.6 Hervorragend ausgewogen. Malzig, Nussig. Schöne Hopfennase. Der Alkohol sticht nicht sondern ist angenehm.
3.1 Bottle. Clear dark golden colour with a medium fine pored minimally off-white head, nose is aromatic malty and grassy with notes of cream biscuits, taste is sweet and malty with a moderately dry and slightly boozy finish, a full body and a smooth, oily mouthfeel.
2.9 Vendredi 21 janvier 2022. Bouteille de 50cL. 6.3%. Achat (V and B", Biard (86), FR). Ok.
3.0 On tap at Tales of Ales, Athens. Clear gold with a white head. Malty, some caramel, bitter and then sweet, a bit earthy. Light body, earthy-nutty-malty finish.
3.1 Otto's/past due date clearance - Pours clear, pale yellow. It has the features of an O'fest - slightly sweet, light on hops, a little toasty and bready, . Also watery on the palate. . Not a great O'fest, though hard to tell this far past October. Very nice drinkable "amber lager" for the price. Not entirely fair to rate it under these conditions.
3.1 15Oct2020 Sweet grain and cereal malts, molasses, brioche, caramel, honey. Clear gold, medium, creamy, white head. Light bitter. Hay, straw, bittersweet grain and cereal malts, wet leaves, bread, dough, decent bitterness appearing, med carb, med bodied.Sweet aroma. Bottle from The House of the Trembling Madness.
3.0 500ml dark glass bottle dated as best before 14/08/2022 from Whole Foods Market, Piccadilly. Poured into a stein, fridge cold. The beer pours a mid gold colour, clear with a two finger golden tinged head. A few streams of visible carbonation. Grassy, stinging nettle, floral on the nose from pour. Sweet grains and honey. A robust aroma for the style. More lager than festbier. The lager themes continue into the taste. Floral, grassy, honey, sweet malts. Medium sweet, medium low bitter. Bittersweet short lived aftertaste in the mouth. Less carbonation than I was expecting. Overall, a nice lager. Misdefined as a festbier/märzen. Enjoy and better than current scores would suggest.
3.4 Clear golden pour. Aroma of malt, grains with hints of spices. Flavour of a sweet malt with a crisp clean finish. Light bodied and very moreish.
3.7 Crisp, dry, and enlivening. Reminds me fondly of Oktoberfest in Munich, and fun times with friends. Beer-wise, it has a sweet honey aftertaste and is obviously smooth.
2.6 Draft at Zeppelin Hall to wash down a German wurst plate. I was hoping for a nice, rich fest beer but this is closer to a mainstream macro lager. Light bitterness and a dash of green apple in the flavor, along with a little - not much - malty sweetness. Not bad.
3.4 Bottle. Clear golden pour. Aroma of grainy malt, lager yeast, grassy bitters and herbs. Taste has nice herbal grassy hops, grainy malt, lager yeast and würzen. Very typical German, but I like that.
3.6 It is slightly sweet, and it isn't as crisp because of it. There are some interesting flavours amongst this, like flowery things nothing defined. Easy to drink though, and that's fine by me.
3.2 On tap at Das Beer Garden. Clear deep golden. Smells a little bready with hints of floral hops. Tastes of sweet bread with light toasted notes. Herbal hops, hints of florals in the finish. Light body and very drinkable. Definitely not what I, as an American, expected out of an Octoberfest, but the malt profile is a little deeper than other popular German lagers.
3.8 A half litre bottle of dark golden loveliness! Slightly sweet hops at the end but a clean easy drinking powerful beer for accompanying winter food.
3.5 Tap at Malt Worm. Medium body, medium carbonation. Pretty good industrial lager, med-high bitterness, medium sweetness, honeyish malty character. Med-light grassy herbal hoppiness. Well balanced, easy drinking. Good.
3.1 Oktoberfest Meeting South-east Harz. On tap: malty, braedy and a nice herbal-sweetish hoppy finish
W smaku umiarkowanie słodkawe, mineralne i raczej zbalansowane. Smak słodów nie jest zbyt wyrazisty. Profil jest czysty, chlebowy, zbożowy. Goryczka nieznaczna, lekko ziołowa daje nieco bardziej wytrawny finisz. Piwo powszednie bardziej ala helles ale w przypadku oktoberfest bier wolę coś bardziej treściwego i bardziej w kierunku marzena.
2.7 Tasted on 19.10.18. Small head disappearing to durable layer. Clear golden colour. Not very complex sweet malty aroma. Malty sweetness in taste with not very pleasant alcoholic bitterness.
