0.5 litre at the Hofbrau, Munich. 23rd June 2022. Pours a clear straw colour. Aroma is grassy, hay and yeast. Taste is clean and bitter, grassy, hay and straw and a really bitter linger. Nice in the sun !
Tap, in a beergarden on a hot summer day after a hike. Clear golden. Hop, crisp. Yes, a bit flat, yes, some bitterness would not be wrong - but it does what it should do, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Malzig, strohig, Hopfen ist eher im Hintergrund. Eines meiner Lieblingsbiere. Ob in der Halben (immer Frisch) oder im Krug, dann schneller trinken.
Bottled, 500ml from Morrison's in Banbury, Oxon. Gold with white head. Could not believe I hadn't rated this when I came across it in Morrison's, must have had it before. It's pretty much Helles central, grainy, cereal light malts, light grassy, herby flavours with a hint of lemon / lime. Some sweetness, relatively crisp, some carbonation. Straight down the middle.
Appearance- light golden straw, small uniform white head, clear, small bubble streams of carbonation
Aroma- as expected for style. Grain, pale malt, grass, herbal, honey
Taste- follows the aroma. Light low level bitterness with a slightly stronger sweet note
Palate- good level of carbonation, clean, no aftertaste, nice mouthfeel

Jetzt habe ich schon über 4000 Bierer bewertet und dieses recht einfach zu bekommende Industriebier mit großem Namen ist mir bislang nicht untergekommen -zumindest soweit ich mich erinnern kann (auf einer alkoholträchtigen Münchenreise zu Jugendzeiten habe ich es sicher schon mal getrunken). Nun bekommen ich es in einem Hofbräu sogar vom Fass im gekühlten Glas.
Es ist ein fein süffiges Helles und passt natürlich wunderbar zu fetter bayrischer Kost. Leichte Hopfennoten treffen auf einen nicht zu tiefgründigen Körper, was aber nicht stört, da es aufgrund der getreidigen Süffigkeit einfach schön trinken lässt.

Pours straw with a small white head. Aroma is fresh bread, fresh grains, walnuts, grassy and lemon. Crisp and refreshing. Taste is fresh grain malts, bread, walnuts, yeasty, lemon with a hint of white pepper. One of the best Lagers Iv tried. Just done right, the German way!

Achetée chez SB, bue sur 2 jours Dimanche midi : pas trop de temps pour la boire, je note que la carbo est élevée, trop à mon gout, rien d'extra.
Lundi soir : pas trop de temps pour la boire, la carbo est bien et laisse s'exprimer mieux les arômes, on retrouve ce petit coté sucré sympa.
Light yellow color. Wheat, malty and yeasty aroma and taste. Ordinary lager beer.

straw yellow with white head. light malt aroma, strawberry jam, grassy hops. pale cracker, taste, more bitter than expected, probably ~30IBU, alcoholic lager end. thick, highly carbonated body. good
Loved it . Nice looker in straight handled glass. Nice large bubbles coming slowly up. Sweet easy drinking. Bit malt coming through. Cleanses as it goes down . Hides strength for me. Drinks easier than many/most circa 4% uk lagers. Definitely get a few online sometime to sesh, Trev. Couple would be nice to kick night off. Had in sunroom tonight as first beer down at NB, for Edinburgh sept weekend. Winner for me - suited palate.
500 ml bottle pours a clear dark golden with large white head. Aroma is slightly skunky with grass, biscuit, grainy malts and lemon. Taste is on the sweet side with a drier finish. Body is light to medium with a creamy mouthfeel. Easy to drink and refreshing. A solid Helles

Heldere gouden kleur met een goede kraag. Ruikt moutig. Smaakt moutig, fris. Bittere afdronk.
Meget lys med hvidt groft skum. Frisk humleduft. Meget frisk og let bitter.
Butelka. Jasne o złotym kolorze, piana biała, opada ciut za szybko. W zapachu i smaku słód, lekkie nuty ciastek i biszkoptów, ziarno w tle. Cytrusowe posmaki, trawa i zioła. Oleiste o małym wysyceniu. Całkiem ok
A golden color with a white head. Aroma contains some lemons, grassy notes, and grains. The flavor is a bit sour with a good malt presence. Some lemons, biscuit, herbal notes, and some vanilla. One of the more complex Helles I've had. The aftertaste is slightly creamy and sour. Overall this is a nice one.

500ml bottle. Clear gold with moderate sized white head which reduces down to a decent consistent top but no lacing;. Aroma of grainy almost creamy malts, semi-sweet, grassy; simple but classic. Smooth mouthfeel, moderate body and carbonation. Clean taste, smooth grainy, mild bitterness. Everything about this beer is solid and well made.
Old rating from 2001 - 1 litre stein at the brewpub. Pours clear golden with a white foamy head. Aromas & tastes of biscuit, grain, barley, bread & malt. Moderate body. Dry finish

Vom Geruch und Geschmack nahezu identisch: Floral, hopfig, getreidig. Für ein bayerisches Helles eher auf der herben Seite. Zu viel Kohlensäure, wenn auch extrem feinperlig. Ein anständiges, allerdings (und damit anders als man es von dieser Bierikone eigentlich erwarten würde) kein überragendes Helles.
