3.1 Cask @Tree Folk’s (Rome). Pours brown with a medium and persistent creamy off-white foam. Aroma of roasted malts, toffee, chocolate, milk, light coffee and licorice. Flavour is quite balanced, medium to light sweet with a decent bitter end, licorice in the aftertaste. Medium to light body, light carbonation. So so...
3.0 Clear very dark brown color, if not looking through light might look black with thick coffee foam. Aromas of roasted malt, bit of oats, milky, smooth dark chocolaty aromas. Palate, light body with thikish heavier but still slick texture (goes down very easy maybe bit watery?) But leaves nice dark smoked aftertaste in a way reminds of smoked beers. Taste is dark and not too bitter and bit watery taste to it, mainly dark malt taste dominates with dark coffee back taste. Overall, bit less than I thought, bit watery, bit missing the umph! light easy going stout, maybe has bit of metallic notes, more of a session one I would say but still nice! (from local morisons)
2.7 Appearance: Black/cola in colour with thick light brown foam. Aromas- Malt, roasted coffee, dark chocolate. Palate: thick smooth oily texture, medium/full bodied.Taste: Very heavy, bitter roasted smokey malt. Overall- I feel like i have just eaten coal! Too heavy to finish, and not something i’d choose but glad i tasted.
4.0 Bottle, from Morrsison’s supermarket, drunk at home, 15/01/2016 I tasted a lot of oats, a very thick porridge texture, treacle, tar, motor oi, velvet, Icelandic salted caramel sweets, toffee crisp candy, clotted cream, UK hops, oils, some dark brown sugar. Great stuff. Dry but very drinkable. No astringency. Also flavours of black peppercorn, blackcurrants and leather.
3.6 Bottle at wyndham arms deep ruby brown, slightly autolytic, savoury soy, dry, toasty cocoa, long chocolaty toasty finish.
2.7 Many thanks to bobinlondon for the bottle!! Pours a super dark brown with a tan head. The smell is dark, roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee. The taste is dark an toasty malt, bitter dark chocolate, mild coffee ending very dry and toasty. Light in body with course carbonation...not very elegant. Overall just OK.

3.4 Bottle, 500ml. Black colour with a small white head. Aroma has burnt notes but not much else. Flavour is very malty with smooth dark chocolate notes, some bread notes as well. A sweet, smooth finish. Very tasty.
3.2 In a bottle from Beers of Europe. Darkish black brown colour. Quite high carbonation. Some roasty flavours. Not overly dry, sweetish malts. Decent level of hop bitterness. A pleasant stout; would guess mouthfeel better on draught.
2.4 Bottle. Musty smell. Black. Not much head. Thin flavour disappoints. Pretty poor really, why bother?
3.4 Bottle from Morrisons, pours a deep rich dark brown which is almost black with small tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, slight woodsmoke, light dark fruits and a touch of chocolate. Taste is lightly sweet and medium bitter, long lasting finish. Smooth and slightly slick though thin feel in the mouth. A nice stout.
2.9 Marrón muy oscura casi negra. Un dedo de espuma beige. Aroma a humo, algo rancio al principio. Cuerpo medio algo acuosa. Sabor muy agradable, primero ahumada, pronto suave caramelo de toffe, para acabar seca con un postgusto amargo duradero.
3.4 Cask at The Holy Inadequate, Etruria. A deep brown to black colour with a frothy tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, milk chocolate, nuts and subtle coffee. 3.7 Bottle at home. Pours a red-black colour with a tight head. Aroma of rich, roasted malt and coffee. Taste is slightly sweet, then nicely dry and bitter. More dry bitterness to follow with a dusty, almost smoky feel. Plain and dry stout that is nonetheless satisfying. A very nice beer.

3.6 Pours dark and dense with creamy tan head. Medium to low carbonation, soft on tongue. Very drinkable
3.6 bottiglia. Ottima session stout. nGli aromi ci sono tutti caffé cioccolato liquerizia etc. si ripropongono in bocca delicatamente senza affaticare il palato che resta abbastanza pulito grazie a note amare secche. A me piace

3.1 Coffee, dark chocolate, grains and roasted malts in the aroma. Dark brown with a red tint. Tan head. Medium sweet and medium bitter. Medium body with a average carbonation. Overall not a bad stout, but i would like a little bit less carbonation

4.1 Z pompy, One Eyed Rat, Ripon. Kolor ciemnobrunatny, ale nie czarny. Piana niska, kremowa, zostawia gruba obraczke i bardzo mocno oblepia szklo. W aromacie slodkie, kawowe, karmelowe, lekko mleczne, minimalnie lodygowo-owocowe, lekkie sliwki, rodzynki i migdaly. W smaku ogromna pelnia i gladkosc, lekko sliskie, smak to powtorka aromatu, jednak mniej intensywna. Goryczka niska, glownie ziolowa, lekko sciagajaca. Wysycenie bardzo niskie, ledwie wyczuwalne.
