Using only dark malts combined with the freshness of Hopf's own yeast, promises a pleasant taste. An authentic dark wheat beer.

3.3Butelka. Ciemny, metnawy, mahoniowy kolor. Piana biala, obfita, opada powoli zdobiac szklo. W aromacie banany ,lekkie gozdziki i palony slod. W smaku ponownie banany, gozdziki, przyprawy, troche karmelu i palonego slodu. Przyjemne, niezbyt slodkie o duzym wysyceniu. Po wycieczce z dziecmi na Snowdon....
3.1Bottle from Bierspezi HH - dark brown color, beige head. dark malts, some chocolate, yeasty, medium carbonation. average dunkles weizen.
3.5Light roast and a hint of coffee. Pours dark murky brown with good head and lacing. Light tangy finish. Easy drinking, nice package. Bottle.
3.4500 ml bottle. Murky mahagony brown, big fluffy head. Caramel, nuts, clove, banana, chestnut. Light dry sourness, slighty sweet. Medium bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry finish. Good!
3.3Voi juoda minulle, milloin ja missä tahansa! Erittäin miellyttävä ja saatavilla
3.85,3% ABV. Gdybym zamknął oczy, mógłbym pomyśleć, że to jasny, klasyczny hefeweizen. Piękne aromaty estrowe banana, goździków - klasa i klasyka. W smaku zbożowe, czuć pszenicę, ale i pełnię ciemnych, treściwych słodów.
3.00.5 l bottle from 'Holy Craft Beer Store', best before January 2019. Hazy, dark brown with a large, foamy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty and a bit yeasty-spicy aroma of caramel, cocoa, overripe banana, nuts and traces of clove. Moderately sweet, malty, slightly roasty and a little yeasty-spicy taste of cocoa, caramel, nuts, some overripe banana and hints of clove, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a bit roasty and just slightly yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Okay.
2.8Drinked in bottle bb 23.6.18 on the nose fresh pasta and yeast, hints of bubble gum, some banana sweet. In mouth is medium light bodied, quite carbonated, again this strange sweet note, no a particular after taste
3.2Pours dark brown with a massive beige head, that collapses very quickly without leaving much of a trace. Aroma is fruit, especially banana. Flavours are roasted malts, some ham and fruity notes. Quite good!
3.616.9 oz bottle (Courtesy of Headbanger) poured into a Weizen glass at 42°. Color is a deep brown with medium high carbonation and a big ass tight light tan head. Aroma is toffee and fruity yeast. It has a lighter medium body with a light crisp mouthfeel. Flavor is light with caramel and wheat then on the backside the yeast gives a note of banana and spice. Aftertaste is clean and drops off quick giving just a hint of citrus. Overall it's much lighter then I was expecting but also much easier drinking.
2.4From bottle to glass. Aromas fade quickly to chocolate malt. Slight roundedness from the malt. Faint caramel. Clear mahogany with well sustained tan head that is creamy. Taste is slight malt with a moderately high carbonic bite at the end. A bit vegital and maybe some slight cardboard. I think this bottle is a little off or a little old.
2.7Ar: Mild toast and brown sugar; very slight fruit leathers; cooked peaches and a hint of clove and black pepper. Ap: Amber-brown and hazy; medium-large very light tan head with excellent retention; leaves a thick cap of creamy foam, very fine and dense. T: Significant fruit leathers, sherry, and nougat up front--clearly oxidized; some peach skin, herbal hop flavor, low bitterness, and toast peak through, but have difficulty expressing themselves past the heavy oxidation. P: Medium-light body with very high carbonation; finish is dry. O: This probably was a good beer once--it looks good in the glass and has a nice mouthfeel--but it is too heavily oxidized to enjoy at this point.
4.2Vom Flasche at Tegernseer Brauhaus, Munich. Brown, opaque. Yeasty aroma the usual banana and clove, big caramelly malts, great aroma. Clean and balanced throughout with that sticky and chewy malt mouthfeel. Really satisfying and enjoyable. Up there with Weihenstephaner dunkelweiße.
3.4Bottle at home froma german friend. Some sourness, a nice tate of roasted malts, pleasant
2.9Bottle @ Camping Piantelle, Lago de Garda. Pours hazy dark brown with an offwhite head. Aroma of wheat, yeast, little caramel, little sourness, light citrus, banana. Flavor is sweet, wheat, yeasty, caramel, sweet fruit, baanna, citrus. Medium body, average carbonation, light sweet and light tart fruity finish. 160717
3.7Hazy brown color, large head. Aroma yeast, dark fruits. Taste bread, fruits, roasted malt. In finish sweet banana balanced with light sour lemon taste. Light body but very good and drinkable dunkel.
3.0Bottle @ il gatto nero. Brown color hazed big off white head persistent. Aroma light wheat malts with herbal notes straw and banana, a little of roasted tones. Sweetish taste, balanced. Light body average carbonation. Thin but easy to drink. Clean dry finish.
2.4Aus der Flasche getrunken (Direktlieferung). Kastanienbraun trübe im Glas mit extrem ausgeprägter Blume. Erfrischend bei den Sommertemperaturen, aber nix Besonderes.
2.8Dark brown with little head. Aroma is dark chocolate raisins clove and a little banana. Taste is somewhat disappointing. Very sour and not as sweet as predicted by the aroma. Even musty. Soapy mouthfeel. Aroma is good but the rest is quite disappointing. Overall below average.
3.4Pours dark brown from the bottle with a foamy head. Aroma is a very interesting mix of caramel malt, yeast, and ripe banana, whereby the banana is less intensive than a typical Weizen. Taste is somewhat sour and more lemon like than banana. The roasted malts dominate the background. Actually pretty good. The rich dark malts and fruity flavors actually blend together well, although I would have preferred a less sourness. Relatively light bodied. This is not a heavy winter beer, but a refreshing summer treat. Good.
3.2Bottle. Dark brown, no real head though. Slightly more bitter than regular dunkel, but still malty sweetness and some caramel and banana. Pretty decent.
3.2Birra tranquilla e senza troppe pretese, comunque beverina e dissetante. Sentori citrici e leggermente maltati. Il retrogusto è quasi assente, ma anche per questo ripulisce bene la bocca, senza però regalare emozioni.
3.4Brown-amber color with nice tan head. Aroma is bananas, spicy yeasts, caramel. Taste is similar, but a bit too light, the silky full Weizen mouthfeel does not come through ideally. A bit too watery, and too much sweet caramel in the back. Carbonation is rather low. Not a bad Dunkelweizen choice though, super drinkable.
3.1Bottle. Clear dark amber color, off white head. Aroma of caramel and hazelnuts. Taste is malty caramel, light bubblegum. OK.
3.0Hopf Dunkle Weisse has an extremely thick, foamy, beige head, a hazy, lighter brown appearance, with bubble streams, and heavy lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of spicy, brown bread, and the flavor is of the same, with underlying tap water and low bitterness. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Hopf Dunkle Weisse finishes semi-dry and dull. RJT
3.3Bottle from Maruhn. Hazy dark brown with a lasting beige head. Aroma is sweet, wheaty, caramel and banana. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Dry and lught bitter finish. 281014
