Hopfenstark Boson de Higgs

Hopfenstark Boson de Higgs

It’s not a smoke beer.
It’s not a tart Berliner Weisse.
It’s maybe a weird saison.
BerlinerRauchSaison. Yes!
Low gravity beer with good presence of wheat. A small layer of smoke malt disappears after a few sips. And light tartness and spice from the Saison yeast.
Refreshing and flavourful at the same time.

2.7 Fresh from the tap at Muted Horn in Berlin. Light cloudy yellow without a remarkable foam layer. At begin light yeast spicyness. Later comes a touch of smoke. Very light.
3.2 Roast, not the best combination, classical saison. Still interesting, the roast simulates the funk. Not sour.
3.9 Bouteille 750 ml.
2.8 A canadian, yellow, rauch-, saison-, wheatbeer whith white head. Aroma is smoke, (bacon), malt. Taste is bitter. High carbonated.
4.0 Kolor złoty, mocno zmętnione. Aromat wędzony. Ale w drugiej nucie lekka kwaskowość i nuty saison. Mocno złożony i niedający się jednoznacznie zakwalifikować. W smaku lekko kwaskowe, wyczuwalne nuty pszeniczne. jest też wędzonka i lekko słonawy posmak. Dość pełne w odczuciu, wyraźna pszenica. Mocno wysycone, chociaż piana opadła szybko do kożuszka. Bardzo ciekawe, złożone i niejednoznaczne piwo. Ani to berliner weisse, ani saison, ani wędzone. Chyba najbardziej przypomina pszeniczny saison. Ogólnie bardzo dobre. Lekkie, pijalne. Bardzo przyjemna delikatna, ale zdecydowana wędzoność. Cos pomiędzy, ale bardzo ciekawe.
3.6 Où, Quand, Comment : Dégustée en fût au Brouhaha Rosemont à Montréal (2011-11-18). Visuel : Couleur : dorée. Apparence : claire.
3.6 Pours out a pale hazy yellow with a small white head up top. Aroma is faint saison, most similar to the one grisette I have tried. Yeasty byproducts and slight smoke. Much more of that smoke in the flavor when you actually drink it, but still a delicate profile. The "blend" of rauch/saison/berliner works really well here, as the smoke is joined by fruity yeast and tart wheat. Light but sharp mouthfeel with plenty of carbonation.
3.7 Bottle from Firma Bier, dated 07/14, large sample. Clear golden color, short frothy head. Aroma of slight woody smoke, bit campfire, minerally, slight spicy notes, grainy wheat. Spicy and dry in taste, wheat, slight minerally, touch of tartness. Quite flavorful for this low ABV. Good.

3.7 Interesting brew. At first it starts really refreshing citrus fruity "saisony", then comes some wheatiness and smoked in finish completes it. Quite a rich content for this low ABV. Worked perfectly between bold IMP stouts. Moderate to light sweetness, light bitterness, light tartness. Well balanced and enjoyable brew, nothin outstanding tho
3.4 Bottled. Pours clear golden with an average lacing white head. Aroma of citrus, yeast and quite spicy. Sweet flavor that ends up tart and with bitter notes. Light bodied, watery to oily texture and soft carbonation. An interesting Saison.🌟🌟🌟
3.6 750ml bottle from Flaveurs d’ici. Thanks Guillaume for buying. Aroma: Smoked bacon, malted cereals, maybe a bit of honey and also peppery. App: hazy pale, medium white head with good retention and great lacing. Taste and palate: light body, soft carbonation but a quite lively carbonation, light dry acidity and smoked finish. Overall: a good Saison, don’t like that much the smoked but I guess that makes it stand out.
