2.7 12oz can courtesy of Headbanger. Color is a deep black with light carbonation and a thin head. Aroma is peanut butter and chocolate with faint roasted notes. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Flavor comes in sweet with chocolate, peanut butter and roasted malt with only a hint of bitterness. Aftertaste is a little too sweet and the chocolate goes to a fake chocolate taste. Overall I don't like this much the flavors get a bit out of wack in the end.
4.1 Can (8/28/19) pour from Fort Point Market. Appearance is opaque black with tons of sparkle at the edges of the glass, thin fizzy ring of light brown head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee. Taste follows aroma with sweet malt/chocolate/coffee initially followed by roasted bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with thick texture, soft carbonation with late lively kick and bittersweet roasted finish as taste. Overall, the coffee holds up remarkably well considering the age. Nice strength and balance to the aroma and flavors and bitter/sweet.
3.9 Can from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a creamy tan head. Aroma of smooth dark malt, chocolate and peanuts (peanuts?). Approaching full bodied. Flavor is semi-dark chocolate, dark malt, peanuts and a hint of coffee. Not dry. Somewhat burnt malt bitter. Tasty ale.
3.9 Can a tasting. Brown black, beige head. Cocoa, milk chocolate, loaker aromas. Sweetish, chocolate, peanut butter, hazelnut, cocoa flavors. Medium-bodied, smooth . Fun.
3.8 At Lior's Place, pours black with a beige head, aroma of chocolate, peanut butter and Hazelnut, flavor of chocolate, peanut butter and Hazelnut, medium bodied
3.9 TaveCan pours black with a lasting tan head. Aroma is huge dark chocolate and peanut butter. Flavor is very peanut buttery and good dark chocolate. Some sweetness and mild roasty bitterness. Smooth feel, medium full body. Pretty good stuff.
3.8 Iz MAS Plenuma Rijeka . Aroma Nutella , ubija .
3.9 Aromas has tons chocolate espresso beans coffee cocoa nibs dark malts fresh brewed coffee cappuccino and hints of mocha. Taste is coffee flavored jelly beans chocolate fudge cocoa nibs chocolate syrup fresh coffee beans dark espresso beans smooth decadent dark malts slight bitter chocolate soy sauce and dark wort syrup. Overall, extremely well rounded and full bodied. Really nice stuff.
3.5 355ml can. Dark brown black pour, tan head. Aroma is just chocolate mocha, sweet dessert. flavor is decadent sweet coffee, but it's not sweet, i feel like this style of beer is guilt free coming in at 6.2 and not one of those bitch-ass imperials.
4.1 black, tan foam nice creamy, chocolate, coffee, roasty, vanilla, barrel, woody, bitter, sweet, nut, dry,
4.0 31Jan2020 Intense dark roast malts, dark chocolate, cacao, chocolate fudge, praline, dark roast coffee, peanuts. Hazy, very dark brown, medium, creamy, beige head. Light bitter. More dark roast coffee, toasted nuts, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Very nice. Can from Ghost Whale - Putney.
3.5 33cl blik. Helder donker bruin van kleur, fijne romige bruine schuimkraag. De geur is chocolade en pinda's. Smaak is zoet, chocolad, pinda's en koffie. Medium body en veel koolzuur.
3.6 Can. It poured a dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma was of chocolate, peanut butter and coffee. The taste was similar to the aroma with more chocolate, peanut butter, coffee with medium carbonation and a nice chewy aftertaste. Tasty.
3.5 Smell- medium strong to strong, peanut butter then some peanut butter and ends with peanut butter, malt and coffee, sweetness and cake. Foam- medium thick, peanut butter, coffee, malt. Head is small, medium dark brown color. Appearance - can with frog on it looks ok, but no extras here. Vary dark brown, low carbonation. From -stout glass Taste - peanut butter, malt, sweetness, coffee, roast, cake. Low on bitterness, but has some from roasted malts. Very drinkable, there is ton of peanut butter a lot more than coffee what is kind of left in background, what seems a bit lacking somehow. But I would definitely try this again if its on sale.
3.7 Extremely intense aroma of milk chocolate, nuts and cocoa powder - in short, nutella. Light bitter taste with some nutty and roasted notes. More light bodied than I expeted it to be.
4.3 Color negro, opaca.
3.7 Can. Nice peanut butter aroma with notes of coffee, chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Pours black with a thin mocha brown head that has some retention and lacing. Starts with roasted malt and chocolate flavors as well as having a thin body, but silky smooth mouthfeel. Finishes smooth and a touch dry with coffee and strong peanut butter flavors that linger on the palate after each sip. Really good porter, despite the coffee.
5.0 My gold standard for a Porter! I am never disappointed. Feels creamy like a milkshake with well balanced flavors. Semi-sweet taste. I am having trouble finding it in Buffalo - the local distributor is out and doesn't know when he will get it to the store where I have been buying it.
4.3 Label made no mention of peanut butter, but it’s obviously there, and done expertly well. It’s silky indeed with a perfect balance of coffee, malt and luxurious peanut butter. What a fantastic surprise! Earlier Rating: 12/10/2016 Total Score: 4.2 Dark brown near black porter - silky smooth, with awesome well integrated coffee notes with a semi-sweet chocolate backbone.
3.2 Creamy lightbrown good fully lasting head. Black coloure. Heavy malty and light hoppy aroma. Stron coffee and chcolate notes. Moderate bitter strange coffee flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Too much not nice coffee. Oily palate.
3.4 Burk.
4.3 Lata del @Lupulo Feroz, Oviedo 18 /05/19 Color negro opaco corona de espuma beige escasa, aromas cacao, notas a café, sabor café, cacao notas dulces, cuerpo sedoso.
4.2 Excellent chocolate, peanut butter and coffee aroma. Flat black color with a brown head. Good coffee flavor with plenty of sweetness to balance it out. Milk chocolate aftertaste. Thin mouthfeel but overall this is outstanding.
4.4 Color negro, opaca.
4.2 Tap at Craft Room as Hoppin Frog Infusion A Peanut Butter Chocolate Coffee Porter. Extreme butterscotch and toffee aroma, hazelnut pudding. Pitch black color with minimal sized brown head. Sweet chocolate taste, toffee, caramel, pretty tasty. Medium to full body, soft carbonation, silky. Incredibly intense and complex for such ABV.
3.7 Can. Dark brown color, coffee foam. Aroma: sweet, waffles, chocolate with nuts, vanilla, coffee with sweet spices. Taste: sweetish, vanilla, creamy and peanut butter, coffee, chocolate, caramel, good.
Ubalansert.
3.6 On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Black colour, no head. Strong aroma and flavour of coffee, vanilla, marshmallows, peanut butter and chocolate.
