Hornbeer Vladimir P

Hornbeer Vladimir P

4.1 draught@Kaelderkold, Barcelona - black beer, long lasting creamy beige foam; light roasted and deep aroma of pralines, vanilla, walnuts; full-bodied, velvety palate, fairly sweet, some late bitterness; lot of chocolate and vanilla in a long roasted finish
4.3 500 ml bottle. Pours black with a thick, creamy, resilient beige head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, hazelnut, figs, wood. Flavor is chocolate, coffee, hazelnut, ash, figs. Finish is booze, wood, hazelnut, burnt brown sugar. Medium to full body, velvety and creamy mouthfeel, weak to average carbonation. Very solid!
3.4 500ml. Bottle shared with junes. Big light brown head with solid lacing. Aroma is burned cake. Medium to full body. Fine taste: syrup, sweet berries, burned logs. Delicious beer, a bit too sweet for my taste though
3.2 Bottle. Shared with JD. Nose of sweet berries and cake. Taste of brown sugar and red fruits. Not a heavy stout. Very good beer, but maybe a bit too sweet in the end.
3.7 Draft. Jet black color, brown head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of burnt brownies dipped in burnt espresso. Taste is mostly cocoa and burnt toast, vanilla, toasted coconut. Tasty.
3.8 Tap @ In De Wildeman, sample size glass. Pitch black color. Rather dense light-brown head, with a thin layer retention. Aroma’s: roast, tar, light iodine. Retronasal there’s mocha, sweetness, red fruit/berries, tar, roast, chocolate. Flavor is moderate to full sweet, chocolate-y. Mediumd bodied. Finishes with roast, woody, moderate to full bitter. Drinks deceptively easy.
3.8 Tap @ Wildeman. Black. Malt, roast and licorice in the aroma. Vanilla, caramel. Malty, very sweet caramelly flavor with roast and a hint of licorice. Smooth, Silky, low on carbon.
4.0 THANKS for sharing RB people! Sampled draft @ In De Wildeman during Carnivale Brettanomyces 2016! Black, solid creamy dark mocha head. Nose is thick sweet mocha syrup with roasted malts, there is some burned mocha here & cacao. Taste & body is thick syrup, herbal, roast, molasses, lingering syrup, long herbal finish, licorice, burned roast, boozy in the finish. Slightly crude mix of molasses, licorice and roast etc. thick syrupy. Not very attenuated or intricate but satisfactory for sure.. Shame that it is named after a revolting individual.
4.1 Sample from tap ’In de Wildeman’ during Carnivale Brettanomyces 2016 black with a kaki head. Aroma of grain, a lot of malts (roasted/burnt), chocolate. Taste is thick, smooth, creamy, soft, chocolate, sweet malts, roated, vanilla, alcohol, medium to full body, low co2, very nice... love this after some sour(brett) beers..
3.3 Medium brown head. Opaque black body. Earthy roasty alcoholic aroma with toffee, butterscotch and chocolate notes. Sweet earthy chocolatey taste with alcoholic roasty notes. Full-bodied. Hot, soft mouthfeel. Sweet earthy coffee and chocolate aftertaste with mineraly pine needle notes. It’s good, but surprisingly lacking in complexity for so strong a beer. Also somewhat alcoholic in flavour. (0.5l bottle, from Fish & Beer, Copenhagen.)
3.9 Sampled from tap at ’In de Wildeman’ during Carnivale Brettanomyces 2016. Pitch black with a beige head. Sweetish, slightly roasty aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, vanilla and hazelnut. Sweet, slightly roasty taste of dark chocolate, some coffee, hazelnut, vanilla and some rum, followed by a medium long, rather roasty-bitter finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice!
3.9 Draft at Wildeman. Black oily pour. Aroma of sweet roasted malt, licorice and chocolate. Smooth flavor of sweet roasted malt, chocolate, cream, licorice and some bitters in the finish. Good one.
3.4 Aroma: chocolate, coffee, raisin, little alcohol Appearance: color black, small creamy beige head Taste:heavy sweet with medium roast bitter (dark chocolate) alcohol Palate: medium body, average carbonation, long alcohol finish
3.5 0,5 l bottle Appaque: black with a full sized light brown head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma: malts, sweet Liquorice tones. herbs. Taste: Sweetish, but not cloying, not as bitter, but the aroma gave that allreade away. malts, dark malts, light milk chocolate, medium roasty flavors., some alcohol. Medium body, average carbonation. . Dangerously easy drinkable. and quite 1 dimensional.. A Imperial stout for starters ?
3.5 Bottle, from SlovakSniper-- thanks Pat!, shared with the group at game night.near black, lively light brown head. Burnt malt flavour, charred wood, very tannic, dry finish. This is very very dry, and a little one-dimensional.
3.4 (On tap) Aroma:dark chocolate, roasted malt and bozziness. Appearance:black color, small dense beige head, nice lacing. Taste: sweet flavour of dark chocolate and roasted malt, boozy finish ,bitter roasty aftertase. Palate: close to full body, quite thick, very bozzy. Overall:Very one-dimensional and bozzy.
3.1 Piany brak.
3.8 Aroma of syrup, wood, raisins, nuts, figs, hint of alcohol and a slight roastiness on the backend. Pours black, small creamy beige head. Taste is highly sweet and lightly bitter. Medium to full bodied, oily, soft carbonation and sweet woody syrupy finish. Pretty nice stuff but not a overwhelming impy.
3.9 Pours dark with low tanned head Aromas of liqourize, chocolate, caramel, roasted malts Taste has notes of liqourize, roasted malts, coffee, chocolate
3.9 Pours black with a medium tan head. Aromas of chocolate, roasted malt, roasted nuts, vanilla. Taste is roasted notes and chocolate tones. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation.

3.9 Bottle shared at Jim/John is back tasting. Black with creme head. Dark roasted chocolate malts. Caramel, toffee. Sweet with smooth bitterness. BIPA feel to it, nice chocolatey.
3.9 Bottle at THT. Black with nice to head. Lots of sweet coffee notes, English hops, soft citrus, dark chocolate, some more espresso, fudge, some light flowery notes, roasted nuts, brown sugar. Over medium sweet with roasted bitter finish. Almost full bodied with slick feel. Nice.
3.8 50cl bottle shared at the Jim/John is back tasting thin creamy tan head. Clear black pour. A very nice imperial stout
3.8 Bottle shared at the John/Jim tasting. Black with a small beige head. Aroma of roast, licorice, dark chocolate, caramel, malt, coffee and fudge. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.
3.1 Bottle 50cl. Black with a nice brown foamy head. Banana aroma with lots of malt, very "sweet" aroma. Taste is very sweet, too much for me. Some coffee is present at the end but the sweetness is dominant.
4.0 Bottle@Salling, Aarhus. Pours pitch black with a brown head. Aroma and taste is roasted malts, dark chocolate, caramel, coffee, vanilla. Full body. Smooth mouthfeel. Nice warming finish. Good.
3.8 Copenhagen 10/3 2016. 50 cl bottle from Eternellen in Frederikssund. Very colorful label with Vladimir P riding a creature that looks like a cow and a rainbow in the background to symbolize his veneration for homosexuals. Quite amusing. Pours pitch black with small beige head. Settles as thin laver of beige foam. Thick beige lacing on the side of the glass. Intense aroma of roasted coffee, alcohol, licoric and sulphur (it IS a homage to Putin aften all). Soft carbonation and extremely thick oily palate. Flavor is heavy but well balanced between overwhelming sweetness and hash coffee bitterness. Very moderate notes of alcohol Wien you consider the alcohol percentage. Quite overwhelming XXL imperial stout. You feel ready to wrestle a Bear after consuming this motherfucker.
3.5 Van de tap bij uiltje beer bar zwart met een bruine kraag. Groene appels en cacao in de afdronk redelijk zoet voor deze stijl. Had wat droger gemogen.
3.4 Bottle shared with Joes, Judyvv and Countbeer. Opaque black color, medium to full sized beige to light brown head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is malts, an unexpected sort of underlying sweetness overpowered by malt bitterness. Taste malts, dark malts, light milk chocolate, medium to firm roasty flavors. Medium body, average carbonation. Doesn’t taste like 12% ABV to me. Dangerously easy drinkable.
