1.7Poured from 12 oz bottle. Decent transparent light amber hue. Really sweet apples on tongue. Thin pallent. A bit more substance than standard Hornsby. Macro version of Aengus
2.9smell isn’t very strong...taste is a bit too sweet...finishes with a very sweet ending that is a bit too much...quite good...but sugar needs to be cut back a tad to make it even better...similar to angry orchard apple crisp but has a more subdued apple taste with more sugar
2.9Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Total Wine Sterling. It pours a clear gold with a thin white ring for a head. The nose smells like a half and half mix of apple juice and apple cider. The flavor is sweet the whole way through with a little bit of tartness that tries to even things out but fails. Light body with average carbonation. Not complex and a bit too sweet for my taste.
2.7Bottle to half-pint glass (shared with the Mrs.). Looks alright; an amberish gold with razor-thin white lacing that dissipates very quickly. Smells and tastes of sweet apple cider with an average mouthfeel. Meh.
3.0Golden orange pour with a short lived white head. Green apple candies on the nose. Some tartness, a bit of citric acid, sugar, and sweet apple juice. The flavor is kind of watery. Lots of green apple, some tartness, citric acidity, and sweet apple juice.
2.3clear golden, few bubbles for a head. aroma is mostly apples, with a hint of vinegar. flavor is has a pretty good tart/sweet mixture with plenty of apple. tasty enough, but one dimensional.
3.4Quite nice and sweet. No so cripsy but fine refreshing. NIce goldean features and some foam although not interesting for it.
3.0Bottle. Pours a clear gold with small white head that quickly diminishes to nothing the aroma is apple and citrus. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet apple and tang. Easy to drink a good cider from Hornsbys.
2.5A sweet, hard cider with an apple and cherry nose. It’s not very tart or dry. Decent flavor, but it’s rather mild and certainly nothing special in any regard.
3.0Clear light gold color with fleeting fizzy foam. Super fresh yellow apple, melon fruit aromas. Light to medium body. easy drinking ripe golden apple flavors with a crisp, lightly bitter finish--simple but tasty
3.112oz bottle. Sweet apple aroma. Flavor is a mix of sweetness and some sour notes. Good.
3.0Smells like apples and oak. Clear golden light amber. Crisp dry apple flavor. This is an old standby.
3.2No head active carbonation clear green apple aroma green apple taste, sweet with a sour finish light body fizzy
3.4Not a bad cider, actually. Pours a golden color with almost no head. Has a taste like a crisp apple that’s not too sweet. Easy drink.
3.3Bottle purchased at Kroger on Polaris. Clear gold pour with a medium white head. Apple and honey nose with a bit of alcohol. Sweet apple and honey flavor with a bit of tartness in the semi-sweet finish.
2.711.2oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear dark gold with almost no head. Aroma of sweet red apples and sugar. Taste is light sour and light sweet. Green and red apples. Medium bodied with a sticky texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not bad. It is a decent cider, but nothing that special.
3.8Color: light brown, tan
Nose: mix of pear and apple
Taste: combination of dry apple and pear on the front palete, mixed dry fruit on the mid-palate, acidic apple juice on the finish
Mouthfeel: smooth but not very refined
Comments: very good cider for all occasions, has enough flavor and complexity for more experienced drinkers to enjoy and yet has enough sweet and refreshing qualities for people who just want a good taste, not the most polished but very enjoyable
2.012 ounce bottle purchased at WD supermarket for $4.49/6-pack. Not good or damaged . Too much cinnamon taste.
3.0Apple juice with alcohol. Nice rich golden body. Aroma is sweet apple and appealing. Taste is crisp and tart. Finishes clean with a slight alcohol aftertaste. Not big into hard ciders, but I’ve had this one before and I’ll probably have it again.
1.0Bottle from Wegman’s. Pours apple color without much on the nose. Lots of butter on the tongue. I’m guessing the bottles gone dodgy. It this is just rancid.
2.0Bottle aged in my fridge for ages... - I’m not liking this, but I’m not sure if it’s from the aging or if its just bad.
2.4Bottle. Musty ripe apple aroma. Light amber with a small white head. Flavor is slightly fermented sweet apple juice. Light body, moderate carbonation. Not especially good.
2.5Poured from a bottle. Smells like apple juice. Clear, amber color. Little to no head. Tastes like mildly alcoholic apple juice. There really isn’t much detectable flavor at all - this is a very bland beverage. Goes down like water. Very drinkable. Not unpleasant, just completely unremarkable.
2.8The aroma is of sweet apple juice. The appearance is dark straw to gold with a lot of fizz and a slight head. The flavor is of caramel and sweet apple juice. The body is medium to thin with a distinct tartness. With notes of alcohol and carbonation. Good not great.
2.9Bottle. Pours out golden brown. Real strong apple smell. Not bad pretty much run of the mill hard cider, soft carbonation. Its ok not bad not great.
3.1Aroma is a strong, sweet apple.Appearance is a very light pear like color with a foam that vanishes quickly. Taste is a very sweet/tart apple taste with a bit of a bitter aftertaste. Overall, this is a pretty nice little drink with a pleasing apple taste. Not bad at all. Overall I’d give this a C rating.
2.6pours darker amber than the crisp apple (see photo), small quickly dissipating head, runny lacing. Smells of 100% filtered Sun-Rype apple juice on the nose. Taste is very clean apple juice with a minor alcohol bitterness in the backdrop. Finishes smooth, off-dry, and induces salivation. Carbonation is soft, controlled and crisp. Low-medium in complexity but makes up for it in drinkability and balance.
2.912oz bottle. Totally clear yellow color, bubbles on glass, minimal white head and thin web floating on the surface. Some lace. Lightly carbonated apple juice taste. Not too much oily mouthfeel (mild dryness). Light sweet taste, a bit on the tart side. Not bad, a pretty well-done cider compared to others I’ve tried.
2.5Picked this up at Ralph’s because I hadn’t tried any ciders in a while. It’s bubbly it’s aroma doesn’t lie about the bitterness, which is okay for a cider. The aftertaste is a bit harsh but not unbearable. I would probably not go out of my way to get this again, but I’ve definitely had worse from the cider family.
3.111.2 oz. bottle. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. The aroma is granny smith and vanilla bean. The flavor is fructose sweetness, and more tart than most ciders. The palate is medium, lightly astringent, and sticky. Finishes fairly clean. Overall, this is a nice cider, with more flavor and heavier body than most.
