Originally created by a Flander’s home-brewer, this spiced amber ale is rather hoppy with a soft body.

3.3Bottle split at the Centrum Hotel, Beersel, 20/11/15.
Clear golden with a big ole egg shell white covering that retains well.
Nose is light spice, yeast esters, bread, trace of ginger, light herbal, dark fruit flash.
Taste comprises sweet malt, caramel, candied fruit peel, sweet, light ginger.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent for style.
3.6Fles 25 cl. uitgeschonken in Sint Crispijn bierglas.
2.9Not bad, but definitely on the sweet side. Crisp and medium bodied. Bready and sticky.
3.225 cl bottle @ Take One, Maastricht. Aroma has toffee, apricot and sweet malt. Flavour has toffee, apricot. Foamy and somewhat sticky palate. Sweet toffee overdose but drinkability is still ok. Belgian yeast is clearly present.
2.225CL Bottle from Vallhallas goat Glasgow

Taste is sweet spicy little else very thin
poor beer
2.5Bottle. Typical speciale Belge pour, moderate foam. Aroma: malts, citrus, almond paste, hint of sardines / fish oil. Taste is sweet:caramel, cherry coke, pastry (baklava). Development is bitter sweet, banana.
2.925cl. bottle, drank at home. Never had a glass bottle that was filled to the very top of the bottle. This yeasty beer - which I saved more than two years after its shelf life (10/2012) - has some citrus aromas, but they aren’t pronounced at all. The appearance is very vividly, with lots of carbonization. Great peach, orangy color. The white-brown foam is vast at the start and fades away slowly. A promissing start, but besides from an excellent refressing taste - light sweet, light bitter - it has a very abrupt ending. I’m only left behind with some bitter hints in the throat. Nothing spectacular, yet it still makes for a good drink.
2.825cl flesje via 8 Zaligheden, Maastricht
Alcoholpercentage van 6,5%
Uitgeschonken in Grimbergen, glas
Bof...
3.0Specialty beer taken over by Strubbe in 1992 from a micro brewery which ceased activities meanwhile, if I am correctly informed. Golden blonde, thirst-quenching, sweetish, fruity beer with aniseed, which is applied in a subtle way and therefore - fortunately - not dominant. Good session beer, but rather thin in body and character.
2.7Bottle from Willems. Amber pour with thin dissappearing white head. Light malty caramel aroma, leafy hop, dull belgian malt. Taste is sweet, light leafy hops, caramel, light spicy finish. Sooo boring. This is about as exciting as a bowl of peppermints.
3.3Bottle 250 ml at home, poured into a tulip. ABV 6.5%
Pours an amber coloured beer, very clear, with two fingers of off-white head sitting on top. Very good retention.
Very fruity aroma, caramel, fresh peaches, light apricot, yeast, some wine notes.
Taste of caramel, spices, iron, surely less complex than the aroma.
Medium thon body, average carbonation, quite dry palate.
Overall okay, it would be much better if all the aromas could find their way on the taste too.
2.633cl bottle
Blond white foam. Nose of yeast and grains. Good carbo. Okay body. Simple taste of grains, yeast. Need more complexity!
3.0Bottle @Pater’s Vaetje. Pours amber with adhesive head. Herbal, bit metallic aroma. Taste little sour, bit metallic, herbal.
2.9Light almost clear chestnut colourbwith a medium white to mokka head, sweet fruity apple cider/wine sour smell a bit yeasty, medium to high carbonation soft to medium bitter sticky aftertaste, citrus some vegetable herby hints
2.9Clear amber/golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of fruits, yeast, spices. Flavour is similar. A bit too watery. Quite highly carbonated. Rather ordinary Belgian ale.
2.9Just another yeasty Belgian amber ale. Just simple and easy, it is what it is.
3.4Cloudy amber color with slight fermentation and foamy collar. Acid fruity smell similar to citrus with hops. Watery taste, but got all kind of herbs and citrus fruit. Its definitly something different.
2.2Bottle @ Blauwe Kater
Aroma is dirt, wet clothes, wet grass.
Pours dark amber, hazy, large head.
Tastes off, some alcohol, rotten apple?
Didn’t like it.
3.8Bottle: Served in a Moreeke snifter glass:
Medium to bigger sized vast thick creamy foamy head that stays on top of a hazy orange colored beer for a long time.
Aromas of hops, floral tones, marzepin, peach, prunes, apricot, orange, some chalk and cream.
Flavours of florals, herbs, some hops and light plant ish tones, creamy, fruity, peach, orange, apricot, bitters, light malty.
Aftertaste is a mix of fruits, some yeast, bitters, light dry.
Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel and texture and a good medium to lightly fuller body.
Easy drinkable and nice fruity with bitter tones.
3.3Aroma: Grass, peach, bit of cheese Appearance: Yellow, orange, bit cloudy, clear white head, medium lace Taste: Bit milky, low carbonation, grass, slight sour

3.125cl bottle from Alsem’s.
Very thick off white head. Clear amber pour. A little spicy in the after-taste.
3.7@Antwerpen
Amberkleurig
Aroma licht zurig, kruidig, moutig, candij suiker, hop
3.3Bottle from 2 be in Brugge. Pours hazy amber/copper with a creamy 2 finger near-beige head. Aromas of light pitted fruits and mild spice. Near med body. Flavor is light spiced fruit - more towards dark fruit than the aroma suggested. Falls somewhere between apple pie and pumpkin pie. With a little malt tagging along. But the spice is very low key - a pie with this low level would not be tasty. Works in this beer though.
2.9Botella, gracias al Rey Cecil. Unclear amber brown colour. Beige medium head. Sweet aroma, caramel toasty malt and spice, bit fruit. Sweet toasty malty caramel spiced flavour.
2.5Bottle @ home ... It pours clear dark amber with a small light tan head.... The aroma is spiced alcohol, fruity and some malt...The flavor is spiced alcohol, fruits and some yeast....
3.0Bottled (25 cl) at Beer Circus, Brussels. Hazy amber, medium off-white head. Spicy aroma (nutmeg?) with some grassy and floral hops. Light to medium boided, medium carbonation. Semi dry, low to medium bitterness.
