3.6 17-06-20 // 500ml bottle. Sweet smooth Märzen with a mild to medium smokiness. Light smoked ham. More cara roast sweetness.
3.5 500 ml bottle. Clear dark amber, foamy head. Caramel, smoked ham, burnt pine wood, brown sugar, a bit metal. Malty sweetness, dry bitterness. Full bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry malty finish. Good!
3.1 Bottle @ Brewery w senior and tiger tours. Appearance: pours clear amber with ok soapy off-white head and lacing. aroma/taste: barley, bread, caramel, light beech wood smoke, light nuts and grassy notes. palette: medium malty and smoky aroma, average carbonation, medium body, medium sweetness, somewhat balanced by a light to medium bitterness, average duration and an oily texture. Overall: nice lightly smoked beer
3.6 Clear copper amber color with a white to off-white head. Smell and taste malts, rauch, caramel and caramelised sugars. Good. 7-5-7-4-13.
3.0 Dunkles gelb schaum is Ok, kräftiger Rauch Geruch, im Geschmack angenehmer gute Rauch Note aber nicht zu heftig

3.5 bread, hay, cereal, chocolate, coffee, nuts, toast, roasty, soy sauce, skunky, smoke, cooked vegetables, alcohol, banana, cough drop, bubblegum, ginger, vanilla, woody, licorice, butterscotch, raisin, clove, cooked vegetables, rotten eggs, soy sauce,
2.7 Vom Flasche. Clear amber ruby with little to no head. Smokey metal aroma. Sweet smokey malt, some metal taste. Ok smokey marzen, but the metal flavor distracts.
3.4 Bottle. Clear almond brown with a medium sized off white head with good retention, lace and regeneration. Lots of meaty smoke in the aroma with some grain and hay. The flavour is also dominated by meaty smoke with some mild grain, hay, caramel, brown bread and chalk behind it. Medium body, soft carbonation, mild to medium sweet and bitter. Long smoky finish. Tastes good, but perhaps slightly fizzy which makes it feel a little disjointed.
4.0 Bottle from Landbierparadies. Hazy amber/brown colour, beige foam. Nose is smoke, bacon, sweet malts. Taste is fruity (red fruit) with smoke. Easy drinkable, well balanced. Very gentle and nicely smoked beer.
3.6 500ml Bottle - Brown with red tinges and a foamy head. Smoky aroma with beech, ash and berries. Fruity and moderately smoky taste with blackcurrant, forest fruits and raisins. The taste is less smoky than the aroma.
3.6 Bottle shared courtesy of Michael. Unclear brown with offwhite head. Sweet roasted malts, caramel, bacon, smoked ham, charcoal, chestnuts from the campfire. Moderate sweet and bitter, big umami yo. Medium body and soft carbonation. Rauchbier surprise attack, nice!
3.4 Tap. Nearly clear dark amber with tan head. Aroma is smoked ham, earthy malts, some juicy malts as well. Taste is fruchtgummi, caramel, toffee, earthy, nutty, hardly smoky in flavour. Natural carbonation. Nice.
3.8 Bottle at home. Clear mahogany, cappuccino head. Cereal, light sweet maltiness, caramel, easy roasted smoky aroma. Medium body, smoky roasted peaty, sweet caramel notes, bitterish finish.
3.0 Bottle, pours a clear golden with foamy head. Nose and flavor of honey ham, smoked malt, beer, and sweet bread. Light to medium body.
4.0 Yields an amber-light brown color, with a big, beige head. Smells of toffee, smoked wood, caramel and old herbs. Has a light, refreshing mouthfeel, exhibiting a perfectly balanced beer with a lively carbonation. Tastes of smoked ham from the very beginning, effectivly entangled into earth and rustic bread crust. Straw and caramel malts establish an utmost pleasant, multi-layered sweetness, in which the smoked flavor unfolds marvelously well. Finishes with a dry tone, which automatically adds complexity to the dominant malt sweetness. Decadently smoky, rich and noble, with a pleasant, well working rustic counterpart.
4.2 Big smoked aroma but the taste is more balanced. I’d love a higher body in it.
3.3 Amber with a small off white head. Smokey and malty tones. Malt, smoke and hops. Medium body with a nice bitter/ smokey finish.
3.7 Klares Bernstein mit durchschnittlicher Schaumkrone. Rauchmalzig, Schinken, Speck, etwas Karamell, leicht erdig, würzig. spritzig.
3.7 On tap. Copper beige head. Malt and smokey aroma. Sweet caramel flavour, smoke and bitter finish

3.3 *Old rating, best before 02.11. Nice Malty roasty Märzen. Easy to drink, slightly smoky. Round with malty fresh aroma. Nice smooth Rauchbier.
3.2 0,5 l bottle bought at Bierzwerg bottle shop, Greven. A dark red brown in the glass, with a mighty more than two finger head. Smokey nose. Taste starts low smoked, more malty, sweetness in the background. Lasting until the aftertaste. Low carbonation, quaffable.
3.7 Deep copper, stable low beige head. Crystal clear. Aroma malt forward, smoke heavy, little oak wood. Taste sausages, bacon and salami. Taste sourish spicy with heavy palate and low carbonation (cask). Hop balanced. Nice rauch.
3.8 Tap at Dno pytle. Classic beechwood smoke character, full bodied, caramelly and intense. Very good.
3.6 Tap at Dno Pyle. Dark chestnut brown color with thick off-white head. Caramel malt, light smoke in aroma. Nice smokey taste with caramel malt. Long smokey, hoppy bitter finish. Good.
3.2 0.5 l bottle from De Bierkoning, best before 24/11/2015. Clear, very dark reddish amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, tan head. Smoky-grassy aroma of smoked ham, caramel, hay and tobacco. Smoky, malty-grassy taste of smoked ham, caramel and hay, followed by a medium long, bitter-sweet and roasty finish with notes of dark chocolate, tobacco and coffee. Thin to medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Not overly smoky, quite grassy and minimally watery but overall well drinkable. Nice.
