2.9 The appearance is welcoming, with a golden yellow-orange color and a thin but present foamy white head. The aroma is muted and largely malt-forward, with a sweet bready character being complemented by only a little bit of light, fresh herbal hops. The flavor is likewise dominated by bready malt, although there is some lemony acidity and some pine to a lesser extent. The texture is relatively light and easy, which makes this one no chore to take down. Overall, this is an unremarkable buy pleasant pale ale, making it little better than average but fine enough.
2.4 Decent pale ale... pulled out of the back of my buddys fridge. Smooth and mildly hoppy. Good but not great.
2.5 12 oz extra thanks to drowland, pours an unclear orange/golden with a decent head and some lacing, aroma is of slight hops with a weird touch of skunk, the flavor has somewhat of a hop bite in the finish but has a weird aftertaste, hmmmm, I think Florida has better out there, might as well open another CCB brew!
1.6 4/25/11. 12oz bottle. Clear apple juice dark golden pour with a small fluffy tan head that fades. Buttery pale malt aroma with a hint of mint, paper, and ketchup. Sweet salty flavor of ketchup with a somewhat bitter lingering aftertaste. Wow this brewing company sucks.
2.8 Golden clear light copper pour thin white head ... aroma of mostly malts ... taste is of sweet malts with a light citrusy/funky hoppyness ... dry light bitter finish a lighter pale ale nothing special but drinkable
3.0 Bottle poured a clear gold with a lingering ring of white foam. Aromas of straw, earthiness and light spicy hops. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, straw and light spicy hops with a crisp dry lightly bitter finish.
3.0 Bottle thanks to jcwattsrugger. Pours clear amber. Nose and taste of sweet malts, fruits and light hops.
2.0 Another Beer of the month club selection. I didn’t think there was anything particularly wrong with this it is just underwhelming. Serving: bottle
2.9 Bottle. A clear orange beer with a tiny white head. Scent is sweet citrus and hops. Taste is sweet citrus with a hop bite. Dry finish
2.5 Fairly underwhelming in every way, in that every facet of the beer seems thin. The flavors and nose both lack any body or depth, making this pretty weak as pales go.
2.2 Pours a crystal clear copper with an creamy ivory head. Fruity malt and and herbal hop aromas wafting from the glass.. The mouthfeel is incredibly smooth and creamy but...the hop profile in the mouth is quite muted and not particularly tasty. Very little malt profile too, quite watery tasting overall. You could call it refreshing if it was actually pleasing to the tongue but it’s really not. It’s thin and what little hop flavor there is comes off as harsh and vegetal. Crisp finish. They need to get more flavor in this one. The mouthfeel is great but it delivers a disappointing tasting ale.
3.9 Bottle. Pours a deep, orange-red with a medium, white head. Nose of caramel malts. Flavor starts sweet, with pleasant caramel and biscuit notes, then finishes with mild earthy bitterness. Medium in body with average carbonation, this beer is very drinkable. Not terribly complex. One of the better Pale Ales that I can recall.
2.1 lucent copper, thin white head, medium body, crisp medium high co2. aroma: chicken coop, slight pale malt, babely a hint a hop brightness. taste: T1= slight chicken coop, slight hop bitterness, slight malt. T2= co2, citrus hops, chicken coop, pretzel skin malt. T3= fairly clean, slightly sticky, touch of malt sweetness, touch of citrus rind. coop flavor is same a what dominates most Orlando Brewing beers, and the Narragansett Porter i had. It’s one of the predominant flavors, but not as overwhelming as i those other examples. Maybe if i had never been in a chicken coop this wouldn’t really bother me, but smell is the sense most closely connected with associative memory, and i just have a hard time ignoring that flavor and aroma in my beverage.
2.3 something about this beer isn’t right. It’s dry, chalky, and just crooked tasting. bubbles are fizzy and aroma is halfway decent. Bottle from Whole Foods, Miami Beach
1.6 Bottle from Cavie. Best by Jan 23, 2010. Thanks, pal! Golden yellow pour with a white head. Smells and tastes like sour grains. Maybe some caramel and hop notes here and there, but mostly just gross. Hopefully this is due to being a few weeks old, but I doubt it.
3.3 bottle. pours a deep orange with a quarter inch white head... biscuit aromas with light hops and sweet malts... light orange notes as well... medium body with some citrus hops in the front and sides with bread notes and sweet malts towards the back... average bitter finish... easy drinking nice session ale.
2.2 (12oz bottle, courtesy of Cavie) Pours a clear pale yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of herbs, florals, caramel, and some citrus. Flavor of citrus, biscuit, and caramel malt.
3.1 ( 12oz bottle thanks to cavie) Pours clear yellow with ok lacing. Nose of honey, crackers, and light hops. Taste is watery, light biscuit and hops.
3.2 Clear amber/ white head. Mild floral hop, malty sweet aromas. Medium body. Nice pale malt sweet flavors with mild floral hop. Crisp clean finish.
2.6 con ramenend, ghawener y david. es una cerveza para tomarla en los keys - probablemente con un conch ceviche
3.3 Bottle: Thanks to rcasta, hoppy and brown sugar sweet. Nice. Food Pairing: Crabs.
2.2 Aroma - mild hop, faint malt; Appearance - copper, fluffy head, excellent lacing; Taste - light malt front, basic hop back, finish has a slight tang; Palate - crisp mouthfeel, light body; Overall - poor effort, nothing horrible yet too basic.
2.9 Bottle from beer of the month club. Pours orangish amber with an off white head that laces nicely. Aroma has citrus hops and is quite one note. Flavor has notes from the same citrus hops with an undertone of sweet malts.
1.8 Bottle thanks to cavie. Clear light brown pour. Aroma is malty, citrus. Flavor is floral hops, corn, pretty weak.
2.2 Bottle thanks to Cavie. The loo is clear, golden in color, with no head. The smell is floral, malts, citrus, and not too much else. The taste is floral, malts, hops, citrus, and weak.
3.1 Poured from bottle into Nonic Imperial Pint. Clear burnt orange with thin head and some minor lacing. Aroma of citrus and grapefruit, grainy dry malt, some spiciness. Mostly dry grainy malts with light citrus and grapefruit hops. Slightly spicy and bitter at the end, but not nearly as bitter as it should be. Moderately high carbonation, light to medium body (kind of watery), slightly dry finish. Drinkable but very light standard APA. Certainly worth having on the beach in Florida, which I’m not.
3.0 bottle, thanks to cavie, bright yellow amber color with with some white foam, slight citrus aroma, watery, buttery citrus flavor
3.0 bottle thanks to cavie. gold with a white head. nose is caramel and light hops. light on the palate with bright hops and not much else.
1.5 Apple juice yellow appearance. Light aroma. Some grain but little hops. Taste is light and tiny bitter. Nothing to it.
2.2 Bottle thanks to cavie. Pours with a clear golden body and a fading white head. Aroma is lightly grainy with faint hops as well. Taste is fruity and a bit tin like. Minimal hops. Light bubbles and a dry finish. Not great.
