3.2 Dark brown and beige head. Dark bread and syrup on the nose. Medium body. Sweet bread, decent bitterness, some coffee. Very drinkable. Solid beer.
3.4 0,5L bottle. Pours murky amber with off white head. The head stays. Aroma is fresh apples. Taste: sweet and sour, malt, apples, and bitterness in the background. Overall well-made fruity brew, maybe a little bit too simple.
3.0 The 50cl brown bottle 5.2%abv pours a foam explotion on top of the about clear dark amber body (close to copper) with lots of visible bubbles. Lots of pebble nets as laceworks. Scents caramel malts, berries, apple, orange. Tastes roasted caramel malts, hops n herbs, fruits, fruity roasted notes. Normal to palate, ok body, a little dusty. Lingering bitterness along with malts and fruits. B@Alko Moouonyoo Finland, tasted@home.
3.4 Aroma is floral sweet. Flavor is nice floral bitter with a dry aftertaste. Color is dark amber with white head.
3.2 How: Draught. Where: S:ta Clara Bierhaus, Stockholm. Appearance: Hazy brown colour with a white head. Aroma: Mild bitter, malt, some hops. Body: Medium body and carbonation. Flavour: Dry, malt, mild hops, mild bitterness.
3.7 Kauniin ruskean, kuparinvärinen olut. Kaunis vaahto, joka pysyy pitkään. Tuoksussa aavistus humalaa. Maku monipuolinen, aavistuksen sitruunainen. Hieman makea jälkimaku, karamellisuutta.
3.6 Dark amber colour with white head. Aroma is malty with hints of flowers. Light to medium bitterness, medium body, long slightly bitter finish. Not a bad bitter overall
3.3 From YNWA Beer Shop, Kolding, DK. Bottled, 011213. Amber with white head. Aroma of malt and spices. Flavor with some fruit and note of hops
3.5 Surprisingly nice beer. First a feeling of too much bitterness, but the second pint was great. Palate perfect. Excellent to sip. Very nice balance of tastes of berries - blueberry and black currant.
3.4 Amber brown, modest but persistent head. Grass and citrus, some fruit. Medium bitterness. Pretty nice and balanced, if not that exceptional.
3.2 Orange, slightly hazy beer with a soapy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet with a weird peaty whiskey kind of aroma. Aroma has also that peaty flavor with malts, wood amd bitterness. The finish is pretty long, dry and bitter. The mouthfeel is medium full with moderate carbonation. It’s a pretty refreshing drink and is not a copy from the Fuller’s ESB but is still similar enough.
3.5 Sample at SBWF. Malty and flowery smell and taste. Felt very brittish, but nothing special.
3.4 500ml bottle from the Drink Shop, Tallinn, hazy amber colour, huge cream head. Sweet fruity aroma with, citrus, floral hops and hint of nuts, taste is a bit on the bitter side, full body, bitter aftertaste. Quite an interesting one and pleasant, could be a but more bitter though.
3.2 Dark amber pour with a medium white head. Aroma is malty sweet, a bit floral, honey maybe?, yeast and a hint of a metallic smell there too. Taste is sweet malts and flowery hops, quite balanced. A tad too high co2 and a bit sour too, wonder if this is the best batch. Medium body. Not very bitter, but balanced. Rather okay nevertheless and very drinkable.
3.3 Pours reddish copper with a little but lasting white head that leaves lacing. Aroma is malts-oriented with some toasty and caramel notes pairing with dark fruitiness. Taste is also malty; bready and nutty elements feature with sweetish caramel. Hoppiness is fairly weak to be honest; it appears only in the dry, light bitter finish. Light to medium bodied, very smooth palate makes this very drinkable. Decent sweetish ale from Malmgård but you would maybe expect more bitterness from an extra special bitter.
3.7 Bottle, many thanks to rosenbergh. Hazy dark amber color with medium white head. Fruity hops in aroma with honey, spices, yeast, lemon. Fruity taste with citrus hops, grapefruit zest. Long hoppy bitter finish. Tasty.
3.5 50cl bottle thanks to Miksu! Dark copper color with nice medium head. Carbonation is very soft and nice. Taste is medium bitter and light sour. Seems like the sourness isn’t suppose to be in here... Aroma is nice and hoppy, light fruit and dried fruits and also light to medium yeasty. The yeast aroma is strange but it’s a nice ESB anyway!
3.3 Pours dark reddish amber with low white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, citrus, light hops and malt. Taste is bready, malty and caramelly without really sticking out in any direction. Body is light to medium, fresh with soft carbonation.
3.3 Bottled. Pours hazy amber in color with a small head. A bit of earthy notes and ripe apricot fruitiness in aroma. Slightly bitter gardenberries in taste. Even if the aroma is a bit off-putting I do lile this brew because quite soft fruityness and easy drinkability on a hot summerday at the seashore.
3.6 Good brew overall and as nice as Finnish beer as I’ve been able to find so far. Clean and crisp with a good heavy hop up front and nice mild floral and gritty notes. Well balanced but still hoppy .
2.6 Pours a light brown color with a little cloudiness. Head is minimal and white in color. Nose is quite mild and fresh with notes of citrus. Taste starts of sweet and malty and comes with a dry hoppy aftertaste. Carbonation is minimal to the point of the beer feeling flat. Not quite as good as i hoped.
2.6 Not impressed. No hops. No finish. eSB? No. I actually like it but i have to rate it as an ESB. It sucks as an ESB.
3.2 On tap. Orange golden with small white head. Aroma sweet and caramelly, taste malty, bitter and some sweet caramel. Decent
3.5 Bottle from Salling, Aarhus. Clear amber with a lasting off-white head. Aromais sweet, malty, caramel and moderate hoppy - fruity. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 290313
3.0 Hazy red-brown beer with a thin head. Aroma is not that strong, some bready malts though. Taste has that good ESB balance of malts and hops.
3.4 Bottle from Alko. Amber color, white head. Bitter taste with caramel, citrus, grass, floral hops and a bit of metallic aroma. Dry bitter finish with citrus. Great ESB.
Hieman jotain virhemakuakin on joukossa hieman häiriten. Pullon edetessä tämä liimainen ja diasetyylinen maku häiritsi entistä enemmän. Suutuntuma on hiilihappoinen ja humalan puraisukin tuntuu. Hedelmäisemmän puoleinen ESB, eroaa jonkin verran tyylin "esikuvasta" Fuller’sta, mikä on hyvä asia. Jokin tässä jäi kuitenkin vaivaamaan, huonoa pulloa epäillen.
3.7 Dark amber a bit hazy color, medium beige head. Aroma of malt, floral hops, citrus, with touch of caramel and licorice. Malty flavor with hoppy bitterness, some caramel and citrus notes. Medium body and carbonation. Quite nice and enjoyable ESB.
2.5 Bottle 50 cl. Pours copper reddish with minimal head. Taste is a nice blend of bitterness and sweetness. Notes of some fruits perhaps some sitrus and also some strong hops. There are not too much of an aftertaste but some bitterness. This an ok bitter Ale.
3.4 a nice example of finnish brewing giving almost no hint of an aroma but tasting subtly tempting and surprisingly delightful with clear vibes of citrus and maybe a hint of nuts in the aftertaste. refreshing experience with something still left for improvement, a lot like my summer cottage.
