Regionally grown American pale malt is blended with rich European malts to produce a lighter bodied beer, bright in color, with a taught white head that keeps track of time as you sip. Then there are the hops – four pounds per barrel to be exact. Willamettes, Cascades, CTZ and Summits give this brew a citrus punch and spicy character that greets you in the nose and embraces your mouth with a clean, crisp bitterness.

3.3Can at an Indeed tasting at the Beer&Beyond, Tel Aviv. Clear golden with white head. Quite hoppy aroma with notes of citrus (orange), caramel and peach. Bitter flavor with notes of citrus (grapefruit), grassy, some graininess, "green", kind of hops juice. Medium-bodied.
3.4On tap at Minneapolis airport. Pours a slightly hazy golden/orange with moderate white head that leaves some nice lacing. Aroma is as I expected, with citrus, pine, and some earthiness. Taste is bitter but not outrageously so. Body is medium with average carbonation and a smooth mouthfeel.
3.2Can at an Indeed tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Golden. Citric and floral hops, slightly stale, malt, grains, a bit sweetish, bitter finish, medium-bodied.
3.3Minneapolis, MN - Cuzzy’s Bar & Grille - on tap - breakfast before a Twins game, Slight haze to the medium golden pour, soft,off-white head that leaves plenty of lacing. Slight tropical hint to the aroma, pick up some pineapple along with the light spruce. Decent pale ale flavor, some minty spiciness, a bit of light citrus bitterness, hints of biscuit-like maltiness. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel.
3.4On tap at Sir Ben's. Pours gold with white head. Scent scent is orange and pine. Taste is citrus and hops, heavier on the hop side. Vey crisp finish with lingering bitterness. Decent IPA.
3.8Nice hoppy pale. Tall can. Clear orange with thin white head. Aroma and flavor are orange peel/grapefruit, spicy hops and a touch of floral hops. Pretty well balanced with sweetish earthy caramel malt. Moderate bitterness.
2.4Draft in a chalice glass. Light copper in color, resin and citrus fruit aroma. Palate is medium in body and is abrasive. This is not a balanced APA. More like an American IPA, and a mediocre one if considered as such. This beer is not for me. Edited comments, not an actual review update.
3.916 oz can poured a clear orange amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of bread, earthiness, grapefruit, light pine and a hint of orange zest. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, earthiness, grapefruit and pine with a crisp dry lingering bitter finish.
3.3Clear, pale pour. Thin and rapidly disappearing head. Nose is grassy with a touch of malt. Flavor is lemon and grass first, then a touch of malt sweetness.
4.9Great pale ale! Dangerously drinkable... always a nice go to at the he end of the day. Light hoppy flavor with citrus tones on the back end. Comparable to the ballast point grunion.
3.9Pretty good beer although I would say that the hoppy bitterness is more similar to an IPA. Flavor’s also quite dry. Aroma is hoppy and perfumy with a little bit of malt.
3.7Poured from can large white head smell of citrus zest with pine, strong pine flavor and aftertste quite refreshing
3.5From a can at Minneapolis Marriott City Center. Pours dark gold (or light amber), clear, with a fine white head. Aroma is predominantly grapefruit, as mentioned on the can. Body is medium, sticky and astringent, with average carbonation. Taste has marked bitterness, practically no sweetness. The bitterness sticks around in the finish as well.
3.712oz can to tulip. Pours hazy orange amber, sticky white head. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, grass, some bread and biscuit. Taste of same with slight tropical notes and dry bitter grapefruit and orange rind finish. Seems higher than 45 ibu with bitter finish. Solid for style.
3.412 oz can. BB 11/01/16. (Happy Harry’s) Fargo, ND.
Clear golden color with a small to medium size foamy white head.
Sweet fruity hops, mild bitterness, sweetish malt and some resiny notes in the aroma.
The flavor is resiny piney hops, moderate bitterness, darkness and sweet maltiness. A bit too dark and sweet to be really sessionable for me.
Nice artwork.
3.6Citrus fruits, lemon, lime, light floral hops. Hazy, pale gold, small, creamy, white head. Light bitter. More citrus fruits, grain malts, light pine, soft carbonation. Decent APA, well-balanced. Cask at brewery, Minneapolis.
3.3Can. Pours gold. Earthy pine aroma. Resiny pine hops with some grapefruit dryness. Pleasant bitterness in the finish.
3.7Clear golden pour with a single finger head. Lace present. Aroma is very flowery along with some citrus. Medium bodied. Lots of citrus notes, nice and dank. Orange pith leads to a bitter finish. Somewhat dry, but leaves you wanting more. Not much grain character. Arguably dirty hop water, but I do like it.
3.6On tap in Buffalo Wild Wings, Minneapolis. Amber colour. Good solid bitterness, earthy and spicy as well as citrus. Not too sweet. Packed with flavour and drinks nicely.
3.8Pounder to tulip, clear golden hue with creamy white head, some lacing, smells somewhat tropical, medium texture, decent balance, some mango and biscuit, minor bitter bite, very drinkable
3.712 oz can. My 100th rated American Pale Ale! Hazy orange brown with a smooth head. Nose is pine, toffee, marmalade and slight musk. Resiny medium body with soft carb and a hoppy bite. Taste is citrus peel, grapefruit and peach. If this was local to me I would put in my regular rotation.

3.012 ounce can courtesy of Hoff43. Thanks! Indeed Day Tripper Pale Ale. Clear orange, large foamy tan head, decent retention. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus hops. The taste is caramel malt, toast, citrus hops. Medium bodies, moderate lingering bitterness.
3.412oz can. Light amber pour with a slightly tan head that fades to a nice ring around the glass. Earthy citrus with some light resin, fairly bitter, with a moderate+ carbonation, moderate body, becomes dry with more pine and a fairly grainy malt character as things finish up.
