Indslev Spelt Bock

Indslev Spelt Bock

Editor’s note: Also known as "Indslev Campus" and earlier as "Indslev Enthusiator" and "Forsøgsbryg T8".

3.2 Bottle shared with sarah at the flat in Copenhagen. Aroma is grain husks, acid dry roast, grainstore. Some rye bread in the nose as well. Clouded caramel brown coloured pour with a lasting cream coloured head. Flavour is slightly burnt toast, some dried fruits. Slight clove yeast character. Palate is medium full with high gas. Lingering roast and burnt sugars. Well made if a bit boring.
3.5 50cl bottle at home. Dark brown with a small off-white head. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Chocolate sweetness combined with coffee, roasted malts and some spices. A decent dark brew.
3.2 Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with small off-white head. Clear grainy aroma with notes of roast and malt. Bitter, roasty flavour with touches of malt and caramel and notes of coffee beans and grain. Sourish, grainy and bitter aftertaste. Interesting.
2.9 Toffee, roasted malts. Cloudy brown/black w beige head. Spicy malts and slightly bitter finish. really oily mouthfeel which doesn’t make for my part.
3.6 50 cl flaske, 7,0 %, købt i Fakta, Frederiksberg, 14. august 2013.
4.0 Good buck with rich sweet notes of malt and a nice shade of bitter aftertaste.
Cloudy to muddy brown body. No head, except for a few tanned bubbles sticking to the glass. Light aroma of sweetish wheat malts, even lighter bread tones, and faint caramel. Taste is mellow wheaty, light caramelly and bready, with a soft underlying fruitiness. Alcohol well hidden. Very smooth in the mouth. Medium full. Soft malty finish. Easy to like, easy to drink. Maybe a bit undistinct and mellow. [Sjællands Odde, 19.07.13]
2.5 0,5 bottle bought from brewery, which I served at about 10’c - brewery recommends temperature as in a cellar. Brownish bubbly foam and coffee coloured beer. Somewhat syrupy aroma. Wide taste with bitter caramel, chocolate or coffee, a little sour licorice too, But the aftertaste somewhat vanished in the gale on Fyn Island 30.6.2013.
3.4 Bottle from a friend, many thanks Peter. Dark brown color with light beige head. Roasted malt, caramel, coffee, nutty notes. Tasty, but I don’t understand, why this is categorized as Weizenbock.

2.4 Bottle 500ml @ home Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of malt, grain, wheat and floral. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
3.3 Aroma: Sour orange juice, some smoke and yeast. Appearance: A clear brown colored beer. A tan head with some lacing and some curtains. Taste: Tasting dark bread, dates, cold coffee and sour smokey sausage. Palate: Medium carbonation, a soft texture. A medium body with a slightly dry finish. Overall: Not bad but a sour note I’m not totally convinced of. Note: Bottle 330 ml. Reviewed 2013-02-21.
3.2 Bottle. Pours dark brown with average frothy light brown head. Aroma roasted malt, dark bread, wheat, chocolate. Taste is average sweetness, average bitterness. Body is full, texture is creamy and carbonation is average.. Finishes malty sweet with caramel bitterness.
2.7 330 ml bottle. Aroma of roasted maize and dark bread. Taste is roasted if not burnt. A fitting tanginess from the wheat.
3.1 The perfect afternoon beer, not too heavy in any way, but the taste is just fine - not much wheat though. Good medium to high carbonation.
3.0 Bottled from Systembolaget Almost black with a small, brief head. Alcoholic in both aroma and flavour. Fat mouthfeel. Some spicy notes. More like strange than good...
3.6 Bottle from Systembolaget, Sweden. Big brown head. Brown color but very opeaue. Much chocolate aroma. The chcolate also dominate the tast. Plesent to drink but a litel more sparkle would be fine.
3.1 Bottle. Deep brown colour with an off-white head. Aroma of malt, chocolate. Flavour is malt, hops, chocolate.
3.0 Bottle (33 cl) from Systembolaget. Dark brown, large beige head. A bit dull chocolatey roasted malt aroma with no weizen charavter. Medium bodied, medium to high carbonation. Semi dry, low bitterness.
3.1 Bottle from Systembolaget in Jakobsberg. Dark brown with a medium brownish head. Sweet with coffee, roasted malt, dark bread, dried fruit and some alcohol. An ok beer.
3.0 @ Basunen: mörk i färgen.
2.9 Bottle from SB cons 2012-10-02 Göteborg AR: wee roasted malt, baking syrup, when poured sour coffee AP: opal black with reddish edge, stouthy deminishing beige head F: heavy roasted malt, sour coffee, grainy, warming feeling, mexican chocolate bar, wee but sticky carbonation, dry, medium bitterness, finishes roasted malt, alcholic
3.6 Väldigt mörkt brun som drar åt rött. Tänker fruktig porter när jag känner doften. Mycket rostad malt, mörkt bröd, torkad frukt och svarta bär. Smaken är söt och rund. Bock möter porter möter old ale.
2.0 Pours dark dark brown with a very small brown white head. Aroma is roasted malt. Taste is roasted with quite some alcohol. Long bitter aftertaste.
