3.0 Thanks cards04 for this bottle. I’m not sure what this has to do with the sort of beer monks brew, certainly not Belgian monks. It might use the yeast, but it doesn’t deliver the complexity or depth of flavour. Light coloured body. Nutty sweet malt aroma. Taste is also sweet grainy malts with a touch of dry tartness. Overall, pretty much just an average amber ale.
3.8 On tap at The Brass Tap poured a hazy orange amber with a small lingering ivory head. Aromas of straw, yeast, pepper and grapefruit. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of straw, pepper, grapefruit and yeast with a smooth dry bitter lingering peppery grapefruit finish.
3.0 Bottle, amber pour, white head, nose is caramel, taste is caramel, sweet, wheaty
3.4 This is an ok beer from Florida and from Jupiter. This is decent aroma and lighter looks
2.6 Poured from a bottle. Heavily carbonated, clear copper color, small white head. Wheat aroma. Medium body with a light wheat flavor and a mild finish.
2.2 12 fl oz Flasche. Klar und dunkelgolden. Minimale Schaumkrone. Wenig aromatisch, gut trinkbar.
2.7 Bottle at home while in Jacksonville. Pours dark Amber with a white head. Aroma is nutty toffee with a bit of lemon. Light body, full carbonation. Toffee, metal, light orange... Astringent and a bit chemically. Poor.
3.2 Pours an amber color with a medium to large sized creamy head. Notes of belgian candi sugar, bubble gum, caramel, sweat, and dirt.
3.2 1/29/2015. From bottle. Light amber with a white head. Fruity and malty brew with hints of Belgian yeast. Nice earthy flavors, nothing fancy, but very enjoyable.
3.6 Worth your time. Join the monk in the trunk! Smooth but solid taste. Very drinkable.
2.7 A dark amber color with a small head, nice caramel and bread flavors! , could mot taste the difference between this organic beer vs other ambers, but it is an okay beer
2.7 Mild aroma of malt and Belgian yeast. Copper colored, with a lasting small well laced white head. Creamy feel heavy carbonation with a sweet malt, Belgian yeast taste with a sweet finish.
2.9 Nice aroma, hints of apple and yest. Color is great, rich copper. Zero head or lacing. Taste is OK.. Easy to drink sort of a flat taste that I’m not in love with.. Spice notes, Apple, dark fruit. Don’t think I would buy it agen. But worth a shot.
3.5 Refreshing with a lingering after palate. Definitely a go to beer with meals. Seafood recommended, as it comes from a coastal town.
3.1 TJ Tallahassee bottle. Typical clear amber pour with a small white head. Big aroma of sweeter caramel malt and dusty pecans (not a typo). Flavor is pretty bland, just some light sweetness and a hint of bitterness. Meh.
2.7 Malty tasty and organic!!! Love this beer it is really interesting and would recommend and have again for sure
3.3 Amber pour. Malty and sweet. Belgian flavors throughout, yeasty. Smooth and drinkable. Not overly complex with a consistant flavor.
3.5 Quite good and very abbey like. Nice to drink and enjoy with cheese and other snacks too.
2.8 Orange coloured brew. Small head. Malts and some spices. OK bitterness. A bit simple, not bad, but nothing interesting.
2.7 A dark amber color with a small head, nice caramel and bread flavors! , could mot taste the difference between this organic beer vs other ambers, but it is a very nice beer
3.0 12oz bottle poured into shaker pint. Crystal clear copper in color with a foamy white two-finger head that recedes to a thin cap. Aroma is of fruity yeast, caramel malt, bread, and grass. The taste is sweet with caramel, bread, apple, and biscuit. Only a slight bitter grass note comes through in the swallow. Medium-light body, thin texture, above average active carbonation, sweet finish.
3.0 From a bottle. Pours clear copper with a creamy white head and decent lacing. Tastes sweet, nutty, roasted, malty. Light/medium body and low carbonation. Smells like musky, roasted grains.
3.3 Bottle. Pours clear amber with rising fizzy white head. Aroma is bready and cereal malts, light toast, dates, and floral notes. Flavor is bready malts forward with toast, light nuttiness, faint dates, light floral hop bitterness, and faint Belgian yeast; dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.
3.3 Poured from 12 oz. bottle on Sanibel Island, FL. Clear amber with a 3-finger off-white head and fairly good lacing. Aroma of strong caramel, light fruit, yeast and grain. Taste of lots of caramel, light herbal hops, yeast and grain. Medium body and medium carbonation.
2.7 Location: 12 oz bottle at a random Bonefish near Fort Lauderdale, 7/25/13 Aroma: The nose is boozy and malty, spice, earth, seems a little off Appearance: This one pours an amberish color with an average sized off-white head Flavor: The taste is similar to the nose with malty and boozy flavors Palate: The body is medium, it doesn’t have a great drinkability, and it has an odd finish Overall Impression: I thought this beer was a little higher in ABV. Anyway, it wasn’t a favorite for me. It really just felt flawed on the whole.
2.7 Opens up like a canadian pilsner at first. Then the aroma of spices and fruit expand out of the mouth of the bottle. There is no foam head at all and the color is ner brown. The taste is sweet with no lingering effects of spice. You can almost taste a slight dash of cinnamon near the end.
2.4 bottle from whole foods Fort Lauderdale. Pours brown with a white head. nose smells like burnt sugar. has a bit of the belgian yeast thing on the tongue but it’s faint. finish is clean. Eh!
2.7 Copper with white head. Aroma is funky malt. Taste follows nose. Somewhat watery. Not b a d. Not impressive.
2.9 Light amber/red colored pour. Small white head. No lacing. Grainy malt aroma. Roasty malt flavor with a grainy note. Not bad.
3.1 Bottle pours amber with white thin head. Aroma of heavy Belgian yeast fruity, funky, with malty toasted notes. Taste is slightly sweet malt caramel hints. Spicy floral and a tad bit of funk you’d expect from a Belgian. Light body good carb. Alot going on with the malt hidnimg some of the yeast flavor. Not bad but not great.
