2.8Bottle at Mathews tasting. Pours clear yellow with medium white head. Aroma is a confusing mix of brown ale and wheat beer with notes of caramel, malt, cloves, chalk, bananas and nutmeg. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is oily with chalky notes and soft carbonation. Finish is sweet, spicy, chalky and has notes of mint, caramel and cloves.
3.613-05-2021; bottle; at the Swedish house (bought somewhere in Germany).
The looks of the beer are nice. It is a golden yellow beer, crystal clear with a frothy white head. Foam retention is average. A nice drape is left on the beer, so is some nice lacing on the glass. Looks tasty and traditional.
The aroma of the beer is nice. The malts give some nice bready notes, with also some honey and biscuit. Not too special. Hops are floral a bit herbal. Nice pairing with the malts. Yeast gives some nice fruity aromas, such as banana. It also has a spicy notes. They are right for a Belgian Ale style beer. Nothing out of the ordinary or special, just well executed.
The taste of the beer is also nice. Sweet malts, bitter hops and nice slight acidity and savory note. It is very well balanced. The floral notes of the hops are nice and smooth, seeming to give some extra balance. Nice.
The mouthfeel is also nice. Again, nothing special, just well done. Medium body, smooth texture and medium carbonation. The finish is nice and filled with some nice floral hops, sweet malts and some alcohol sweetness. Also a nice spicy touch from the yeast is in there. All in all, it is a very decent beer. Well made.
2.0Alcolica e stanca subito
3.4Pours a light and slightly hazy yellow. Aroma is slightly acidic, herbal, malty. Medium body. Smooth, sweet, herbal, malty. Very easy-drinking and smooth.
3.40.33 l bottle from Grunt Shop, Kvatrić. Shared with prof. Bekić. Hazy golden, medium creamy white head. Light sugary malty aroma, hints of citrusy fruit, hints of vegetable, some caramel, also a yeasty note, a bit dusty and/or spicy. Pleasantly sweet, yeasty, fruity and spicy flavour. Somewhat doughy and bready. Slightly sticky. Strong and warming. Light finish, a bit sweet. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Not bad.
2.1Kein spannendes Geschmacksprofil. Zusätzlicher Abzug für hohen Preis
3.4Żółta barwa, wysoka i gęsta piana, mętne. Smak słodowy z elementami miodu, obecna delikatna kwaskowość w tle, pełne, ledwie wyczuwalna goryczka w posmaku. Rewelacja.
3.6Bottle from supermarket, pouring clear golden with a huge foamy white head, retaining well. Aroma is malty, quite yeasty, bit fruity. Taste starts medium sweet, fruity, and yeasty, with a dry mild bitter finish. Good 'bite' and OK carbo. Not a very special brew, but not bad at all.
3.4Colourwise a bit like a weizen pale mix with a light yellow transparent colour and refreshing green reflexes, smellwise its fresh pale ale like and a bit yeasty lagered, decent foam. Tastewise it presents with a very yeasty start followed by a dry fruityness in the mid Part, where i cannot define the destinct different aromas. Only in the end the builded alcohol presents itself. Mid to high ranked strong pale ale from northern east germany ( island ruegen) definately made with a good handcraft.
3.0Ganz okay ohne groß zu glänzen - Cognacnoten, malzig, etwas Karamell, dezente Süße, leicht perlig.
3.3Klare goldene Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger, fruchtiger, leicht hopfiger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, fruchtig, leicht saüerlich, betont trocken, leicht hefig. Mittlere Süße mit mittlerer Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit lebhafter Kohlensäure.
3.4Bottle @ home w senior. Appearance: pours clear golden with ok soapy white head and lacing. aroma/taste: barley, bread, light citrus, herbal, light fruity and grassy notes. palette: medium hoppy aroma, average carbonation, medium body, medium sweetness, balanced by a medium bitterness, average duration, light bitter finish and a watery texture. Overall: enjoyable herbal ale
3.3Pours slight hazy golden, white lacing foam head. Aroma is sweet, flowers, fruity. Drinking this I taste fruit. Nice. (Velp 202008)
3.6Fles 33cl thuis. Yeasty, zoetig, Belgisch gist, zuurtje in geur, geel fruit, hoptonen, bloemig, wat banaan en sinaasappel, redelijk koolzuur. (16-8-2020).
3.2Bittere, alkoholige, fruchtige und sektartige Noten. Recht trocken. Für ein Bier dieser Stärke nicht zu geschmacksintensiv. Schon ganz OK.
3.10.33 bottle. Tekintélyt parancsoló sasos papír csomagolás, ahogy egy 4x-es world best hez illik. Színe világos arany, hab kitöltéskor ujjnyi fehér, majd eltűnik. Pezsgős, muskotályos savanykás illat. Ízre rendkivulbtestes, nagyon finom, komplex belga ale. Erőteljesen szénsavas. Keserű, száraz lecsengés, mint egy száraz pezsgő. Hasraesve nem voltam tőle. Nekem ez már pezsgőbb, mint amennyire sör.
***
Prestigious eagle paper packaging as it fits a 4x world best. Its color is light gold, when filled with foam it is white and then disappears. Champagne, muscat sour scent. It has an extraordinary taste and a very fine, complex Belgian ale. Strongly carbonated. Bitter, dry finish like a dry champagne. I wasn't from her belly. For me, it’s as champagne as beer.
3.3Bottle from the brewery. Clear gold with white head.
Aroma is Belgian, esters, but also some notes of sour fruit like gooseberry and rhubarb. Light malts.
Sweet overall with only mild tartness. Prickly carbonation.
3.4Bottle at home, golden beer, small head. Aroma is yeast, spicy or peppery, some malt and fruit, kind of sweet. Taste is the same, very yeasty. ok
3.2Spora, zwarta piana, biała, z drobnych pęcherzy, szyła na szkle, dosyć trwała. Kolor słomkowy, trunek przejrzysty. Aromat owocowy - mirabelka, cytryna, pomelo; zioła, przyprawy, jakieś lekko stęchłe jajko. Smak czuć przyprawy, trunek jest wytrawny, choć i odrobinę słodu jest wyczuwalne, owoce, zioła. Ogólnie nawet ujdzie.
3.0From a bottle poured a slightly hazy pale gold with a huge billowing bright white head that settled down to 5mm of dense foam that laced poorly. Carbonation high, lively and fine to medium. Aroma subtly of spicy yeast, musty grain and sweet notes; alcohol well hidden. Taste is moderately strong Belgian-style yeast, spices, quite sweet; no bitterness; slight alcohol noted as it warms. Light body. Smooth, crisp and clean with a short finish finish. Nice to sip but not my style.
3.2Forte mais rafraîchissante grace à son amertume
3.0Bottle. Light hazy straw, very fine bubbles in the head, like an 80s pop star. Unremarkable nose with some banana and maybe clove ester notes. Flavor is ok, not super complex, lots of Belgian yeasty banana esters. Not overly sweet which is nice. Aftertaste of grain fades fast. Easy drinking.
3.6(bottle) clear, bright yellow colour with a medium tall white head; aroma of stewed fruit, lilies, honey; dryish flavour with a long, light bitter finish
3.2Opened it expecting to get a dark ale pour, but it poured golden yellow with average white head. High carbonation for ale. Medium body. Grassy taste to it, slightly pulling onto Belgian style of beer. Aroma of basement is present.
3.6330ml bottle form Berlin Schoenefeld airport (€4):
Opened expecting a stout given the name but it's a light golden coloured Belgian ale with a clear body & 0.5cm head that's frothy white. The nose is fresh & lively with floral touches & some slightly herbal notes too; grassy hops & hay both showing with some light coriander, yeast & banana at the end. The taste was dominated by the yeast & banana with floral touches & spices at the end, the alcohol became more pronounced later on too & the beer was very strongly carbonated throughout.
3.8Der Geruch hat mich direkt an ein Bananen Weizen erinnert. Beim antrinken hatte ich erst das Gefühl einen Sekt zu trinken. Anschließend eine Grapefruit Bananen Note.
3.3Dunkles Gold, Anis, Pfefferkuchen, Honigbrot. Gut gemachtes rundes Strong Ale.
2.8More a Tripel than anything else. Average but I don't like Tripels
3.10.33l bottle from an Austrian Interspar. The label promises a Belgian type ale. Starts with opaque yellow body, white foam, nice pillowy at first but not very persistent. Sourish fruity aromas, apple, bit of yeast. Fruity taste (sour and fresh: apple, lemon; also a hint of banana) with mild yeasty, dry and bitter aftertaste. Fizzy palate, fairly strong carbonation. Alcohol warmth. Kind of OK, but I am not impressed.
