3.2Bottled 330ml. -from Grunt Shop Zagreb. Pale golden coloured, medium size white head, dusty sweetish lemony nose. Sweetish malty, mild spicy, yeasty and slightly lemony with short finish. Bit watery as well.
3.50.33 l bottle on discount at Grunt Shop, Kvatrić, Zagreb. Hazy golden with yellow tint, small off-white head, shared with little Dina and her family. Lightly fruity, apricot, apple, lemon, spicy phenols like pepper. Prickly, moderate to high carbonation, quite refreshing, drinkable. Light sweetness, finishes dry though. Nice malty backbone, not a bad balance. Fruity citrusy character. No bitterness, light finish. Interesting use of yeast, slightly too juicy or candy like.
3.4Yellowish beer, rather subtle aromas of grains. Lively carbonated, dry, a bit malty aftertaste. Quite good.
3.0From a bottle poured a slightly hazy light golden amber with 2=cm of off-white dense foam that retained very well and laced OK. Carbonation high, lively and fine to medium. Aroma moderately strong semi-sour with spices/cloves and slight must plus some saison-like characters. Taste is moderately strong sweetness (lemonade-like) with hints of spices and white grapes; slight spritzy on the tongue; no real bitterness. Light body. Smooth, crisp and clean with a short finish. OK.
3.7Süffiges, feinperliges Bier. Gut zum Starten.
3.033 cl bottle @home from Germany @approx 10 degrees C in trappist glass. Pours at first a clear, dark yellow, becoming slightly hazy as the bottle is emptied. Quite large white head with fair retention and a little lacing. Aroma of malt, grass and hints of spice. Taste slightly sour, malty and spicy with grass and citrus to the forefront. Not much hops to be detected. Mouthfeel is smooth as the beers effervescense is from tiny, elegant bubbles.Clearly its best feature. Finish somewhat bitter and short and again with a sour hint. OK and fresh, but not as good as other beers from the Insel Braueri I have tasted.
3.2Bottle.Hazy yellow colour with medium white head.Aroma of wheat and flowers nice mild overall beer.
3.0Pours slightly foggy dark orange gold with a small white wisp. Aroma is slight citrus, spice and grain. Taste is slight tart, citrus and lemon. Some light spice and dry on the palate.
3.133 cl bottle @ home, served in a tulip glass, due date: 2021/06/20.
Aroma: not very powerful aromas of citrus, grains, spices, unfermented grains, wheat.
Appearance: light yellow color with perfectly white fluffy foam made of tiny to big bubbles. Extremely high head thickness with medium to high retention and low to medium Brussels' lacing. Low to medium haziness. You can see columns of bubbles rising up from the bottom of the glass.
Taste: low sweetness, low bitterness, low sourness. Flavors of wheat, citrus, grains, lightly toasted malts, cereals, spices, white grapes. Very well balanced, all the layers of flavors are very well integrated.
Mouthfeel: low to medium body, silky texture, low to medium carbonation, not very long dry finish with low bitterness and the same previously mentioned flavors. Alcohol is not noticeable in the aroma or flavor, only a very light mouth and throat warming reveals its presence. Astringency is very low.
Overall: good appearance, not very powerful but pleasant aromas or flavors of grains, wheat, spices, citrus. Very good and rounded mouthfeel. Not a big fan of the style but not bad. Good drinkability.
3.0330 ml bottle. Clear golden colour, medium head with low durability, partly lacing, lively carbonation. Nose is spicy, vinous and citric. Flavour is medium sweet, light bitter, again vinous, banana. Rather short finish. OK.
3.40.33 l bottle from 'EDEKA Preller' (Breckerfeld), best before July 2021. A little hazy, golden with a medium large, foamy, stable, white head. Sweetish, gently yeasty-spicy, slightly fruity-floral aroma of lemon peel, some clove and a touch of white grapes. Minimally sweet, slightly bitter, gently fruity-floral and a bit yeasty-spicy taste of lemon peel, gooseberry, white grapes and some clove, followed by a short, moderately bitter, gently dry, slightly yeasty-spicy finish. Almost medium-bodied, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Refreshing, not too sweet Witbier. Well done!
4.1Part of the LCBO 2018-19 Winter Beer program, I was expecting a much drier beer, but to my surprise, quite sweet, and tasty, that one was a hit for our family supper.
2.8Bruisend wit geel, doch kraag verdwijnt snel. Nasmaak is prima.
2.8Duft nach Mango und Zitrone. Süßliches White Ale mit mildem Charakter.
2.8Bottle from the LCBO. Pours a slightly hazy yellow, with a very large white head. Aroma is loaded with malted wheat, and cereals, sharp grass, light herbs, and hints of orange. Mouth feel is silky, carb ia very soft. Finish is lightly bitter, leaning way more towards the malts, than aromatic herbs and hops than this style should. Quite earthy, and malt forward, hops take a back seat.
3.4Bottle from Erzengel - Cheers!
Brilliant white tight head stayed on a highly carbonated pale lemon coloured body.
Coriander, yeast, wheat & spices aroma.
Medium bodied, effervescent over the tongue with a clean crisp back.
Bitter lemon, nectarine, yeast, coriander & spicy tastes with with a sweet citrus finish.
3.5Refreshingly taste, belgian hops, slightly soury, fruity vanilla berry, foamy carbonation, a bit wine like apple ale cider type, one i could recommend in terms of pale ales in summer
3.9Bottle from Malt Traders on 24 April 2019. Another mighty fine beer from Insel Brauerei. Pours with a huge pillow of clean white foam and a hazy golden amber colour. Long dry finish and packed full of fruit flavours. Very Saison like.
3.1750 bottle wrapped in decorative paper label. Pours a massive foaming bubbly white and has a yellowish pale golden appearance. Slightly excessive carbonation. Aromas of grass, herbal, sweet malt. Flavours are malty, some spices and herbal notes. Has a drying mouthfeel. Pretty disappointing overall.
2.733 cl. bottle @home, gift from my parents. Hazy light yellow with a very thin white head. Malty fruity taste. Sweet taste with a thin body. Bit boring.
2.4Aroma is light malty and banana. Hazy amber with white head. Taste is light sour, not much else. Light body, watery feel and light sour finish.
