Isle of Skye Gold

Cask; Regular. Also available in the bottle.

A distinctively different ale, brewed with porridge oats.

3.0 Bottle in Skye, pouring dark golden, with offwhite head; OK retention. Aroma is (again) very weak; soft malty, bit citric. Taste same, cereals, smooth; moderate sweet, not bitter, with a small soury element. Rather strong carbo. Actually nothing special.
3.2 Pours a clear golden with white suds of head. Clean straw like aroma. Mild sweetness, lightly earthy....slight of bitter hop pellet bite in the throat at the very end. Notes: on cask at the Bosville, Portree Scotland, June ‘19
3.2 500ml bottle. Clear copper - gold with a thin white head. Malt and lemon aroma, flavour is cereal and citrus with some type sweetness
1.9 Aus der Flasche 2015-05 getrunken. Im Vergleich zum Red ein deutlich dünnerer Körper und Aromastruktur. Für den schnellen Durst ist es ok. Mehr aber leider nicht.
3.0 Bottle. Clear dark, orange golden color, with a beautiful fine, creamy head. Floral, cooked oat, light malty Aroma. High bitterness, dry taste, lightly sour. Low aftertaste, Clean, a bit malty.
3.5 Isle Of Skye Gold 4.3%. Dark golden, grainy caramel aroma, medium bodied, light caramel malt, oats, hint of citrus. Unusual session ale from The Isle of Skye
3.0 Clear darker yellow, white foam. Aroma is nice, barley mainly. Taste some bitterness, some fruit tones. Nice. (Portree 201806)
3.0 Przejrzyste złote piwo z ladną pianą, w smaku słodowe z przyjemną goryczką
3.2 500ml bottle: BBE Aug 2018. Poured into an Abbot Ale badged glass tankard at home on 20th Sep 2017. Slight haze to the golden body, white blanket of foaming bubbles on top. Not too sure what 'porridge oats' bring to the beer but I liked the brew. The aroma was fairly low key (might have over cooled the beer) with mild hints of malty molasses and floral notes. Taste was a nice blend of hop bitterness and malty/honey like semi-sweetness, the hops winning the battle. This was an easy drinking, refreshing beer with lively carbonation. Picked the bottle up from an Aldi in Edinburgh earlier in the year.
2.8 Clear yellow beer, good white head. A very faint hint of caramel and citrus in the aroma but not much. Flavour has the same, with a bit of tartness as well. It mellows out into almost nothing after that, just a lingering hint of caramel amongst an otherwise watery finish. It’s fine. It’s crisp and refreshing.
3.0 Flasche 0,5l: Kräftiges Gold, glasklar, feinperlig, kräftiger fester mittelporiger Schaum; süße + kräftig malzige Nase, Malzzucker, Karamell, Getreide, Kuchenteig, recht dezente Hopfennoten; frischer Körper, deutliche Hopfennoten, Malz, Getreide, kräftige fruchtige Bitterkeit, cremig, deutliche Kohlensäure, Grapefruit, Grapefruitzest; angenehmer fruchtig bitterer Nachgang
1.9 Keg at Uig Hotel Skye. Pours clear gold with small head. Aroma very slight. Some grain and faint citrus. Taste was mild malt and citrus. The oats don’t seem to offer much in the way of mouthfeel or body. Quite a bland beer. Maybe OK for a hot day session drink. Not great.
3.1 Frisch gezapft. Dunkelgolden mit leichter Trübung. Mittelgroße Schaumkrone. Hopfig und blumig. Feinherb und leicht trocken. Eher leichter Körper.
3.0 Large bottle at home. Aroma of honey, flowers, a bit weak aroma. Pours dark misty amber, white creamy head lacing. Taste as well is not that rich, oats, a bit honey, minimal flowers. Mouthfeel is watery, little fizzy.
3.8 550ml bottle. Pours a light gold with an off white head. Nose is sweet malt, biscuit, honey and something a bit floral. Creamy light mouth feel. Taste is fairly subtle but has a slight stout like taste with a honey malt with a slight orange bitterness from the hops. Overall pretty decent for a light ale.
3.8 Burnt orange colour with nice fluffy head that tightened a bit when settled. Clear. Not much nose. Easily drunk. Not very complex but drinkable. Dry finish. Would never know porridge oats in there but a little something in palate
3.1 Let humlet, meget sødlig. En god ale, der er sødlig tør i det. Ale som det skal være.
3.1 Pint Wetherspoons. Pours light amber, transient head. Faint malty aroma. It’s a bitter, and it’s pleasantly bitter. No real complexity. Decent pint, but nothing special.
3.0 Honey, grass, toast and fruits in the aroma. Golden with a off-white head. Medium sweet and medium bitter. Medium body with a average to soft carbonation. Overall an OK BItter, but a bit on the thin side. Nothing interesting here.

3.0 Bottle at home, Hebridean Gold label. Hazy light copper with hints of malt oats. Not bad
3.2 Pours a gold with a thick head. Not much aroma, some frutiness. Tastes sweet with a tangy finish. Creamy palate which is just lovely. A nice beer from a very friendly brewery
3.3 On tap. Rated as "Eilean-Òr". Smooth fresh beginning. Malt, fresh and crisp, probably a bit too cold. Hints of grain, slightly sweet. The aftertaste is a bit watery, refreshing, nice!
3.4 Notes from trip to Scotland summer 2014. Bottle. Pours amber-gold with a big frothy head settling to a nice rim on top of the beer. The aroma is fuity and yeasty, with a malt backbeat. The taste is malty and grainy, with some spice coming through in the second wave, followed by a long bitter aftertaste. Not a bad a beer at all, but rather full in the mouth and thus quite filling.
2.6 ivorywhite head leaves some lacing. dark blonde colour. aroma is metalic, butter. taste like arome with a wry bitter finish. medium body and carbonation. bottle 50cl
