3.4 12 ounce bottle. Gratuitous tick but it sounded kind of interesting. Clear amber gold with a noisy fizzy off white head. Aroma is of spices as in a pumpkin pie. First sip and it is kind of a pumpkin soda pop. And I kind of like that. The flavor is mostly pumpkin pie spices with some gourd under that. Its tasty enough. Not bad at all.
1.4 Oy. My wife got this. Sweet and pumpkiny, but not enough spice to really draw you in. Very much too awful.
3.4 Bottle poured a clear amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of caramel, clove, allspice and light ginger. Palste was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of caramel, allspice, ginger and light clove with a smooth dry lingering spiced finish.
3.1 Bottle - nose is pumpkin spice. Sip ads lemon slices and more fall spices. Sweet. Better than the ratings suggest. I’d like to try the non pumpkin version.
2.6 This is one of those heavily spiced pumpkin beers. Once you get past the all-spice, you can taste the fresh pumpkin. It also gives it a decent feel. Then the finish is a tangy citrusy lemon flavor. Has a cloudy medium copper-orange appearance. Ok to try, but this was probably my last pumpkin brew for the season.
4.2 Pretty good pumpkin beer. True pumpkin taste. Becomes a tad too sweet though.................................
4.3 Best aroma in recent memory. Good foamy small head remains in glass lacing is good too. Delivers a sweet spice of pumpkin pie flavor as it should, thats why I keep buying these to find this style. Hint of tea and Lemon but well flavored with pumpkin styled fall spice. Best one of this type for the 2015 season for me.
3.0 Draft @ DAS BEST Oktoberfest, Baltimore. Pours a slightly hazy orange pale amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity spicy pumpkin and cinnamon aroma. Fruity malty spicy pumpkin flavor. Has a fruity malty spcy pumpkin finish.
3.3 Bottle. Hazy brownish with a small head. Smells of pumpkin spice. Taste is pumpkin spice, tea, apple cider. Not bad.
2.6 12 oz single bottle from Wilburs into a pint glass. Deep, dark orange and clear appearance with a small, diminishing white head. Aroma of pumpkin/fall spices, bread and light lemon zest. Similar flavor, plenty of spices with a light zesty tart finish. Light body with ample carbonation. Meh, OK, I guess. Pairing: Widespread Panic - Jack > Travelin’ Light, 11/03/94, Balch Fieldhouse, CU-Boulder
2.8 Bottle. The beer is a darker amber color with a white head of foam. The aroma has mild spice, pumpkin pie, some cream. Sweet, and somewhat spiced. Lighter to medium body. Medium carbonation.
3.3 12 oz bottle, thanks Poisoneddwarf- Pours murky brown to orange with a small head that reduces leaving a blanket. Aroma is lemon, pumpkin spices, some real pumpkin, but mostly spices. The taste is pumpkin spices with lemon, interesting, better than expected. Foamy mouthfeel, thin body. Not bad.
3.5 Brown in color. Thin to no head. Poor lacing. Pumpkin spice aroma. Vanilla. Thin texture. Pumpkin spice in the flavor. Low carbonation. Watery finish. It was better than I expected. Got from poisoneddwarf. Thanks.
3.1 12 oz bottle at Hog’s Head Bar in Pittsburgh. Mediocre, unimpressive, just another shandy in the inferior Traveler line of beers.
3.4 Aroma is cinnamen, all spice and winter spice. Taste is the same but the spiciness mellows out well. Appearance is a clear gold with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.
3.4 Somewhat murky and actually pumpkin colored with a foamy white head. Nutmeg and light cinnamon aromas just like a pumpkin pie . The initial taste is still nutmeg and cinnamon, but a nice refreshing lemony flavor comes up behind that. It doesn’t seem like that would work, but it does and it’s quite refreshing. There’s also a nice honey sweetness to mellow out the citrus and spices. Overall a very interesting, tasty and refreshing beer
3.8 12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 2/2016. Pours slightly hazy orange/copper color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, brown sugar, wheat, toasted bread, light lemon/ginger, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pumpkin/lemon/spice, pale malt, and light earthy hop/yeast ester notes; with solid strength. Taste of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, brown sugar, wheat, toasted bread, light lemon/ginger, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Minimal herbal/spice bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, brown sugar, wheat, toasted bread, light lemon/ginger, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Very nice robustness and balance of pumpkin/lemon/spice, pale malt, and light earthy hop/yeast ester flavors; with a nice malt/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Moderate amount of dryness after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderate crisp, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.4%. Overall this is a very good pumpkin ale/shandy style. All around good robustness and balance of pumpkin/lemon/spice, pale malt, and light earthy hop/yeast ester flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.
3.9 Pours a clear dark rusty orange color with white head. Just the right amount of pumpkin
2.8 This stuff is drinkable but not good. It is cloudy amber w/ a head of fine white bubbles. It smells like pumpkin pie spice and lemon lime soda. The spices are more subdued than I expected but not exactly subtle. There is nothing really foul or chemically about this like some other beer-like beverages of its ilk and it has a pretty nice creamy texture so I will give it a pass.
3.5 Bottle pour into pint glass. Aroma is strong cinnamon (like you are walking into a Hallmark store), mild citrus, nutmeg, allspice. Appearance is mild hazy orange brown with finger-width white head and huge amount of sparkle and fair lacing. Taste is strong cinnamon, moderately sweet with mild other pumpkin pie spices. Palate is medium bodied with creamy texture and overall average carbonation with a little bit of fizz at the tip of the tongue and roof of the mouth, dry refreshing finish. Overall, a little bit different than the usual pumpkin beer in that it is more of a cinnamon taste and it is a bit thicker. Always a pretty narrow appeal in my book to a certain time of year and mood, but would be an appealing pumpkin beer in those circumstances.
2.9 330 ml. bottle. Pours a medium, off white, well retained head, over hazy amber (SRM 10) body......nose is lemon, light squash, cinnamon, ginger, allspice, no hops, brown sugar......taste is sweet, with lemon notes, moderate cinnamon, allspice, ginger, hints of pumpkin, mild wheat notes, no esters, no hops......mouth feel, light body, no alcohol, moderate carbonation. This is a light, heavily spice dominated, beer. It would benefit greatly with a more complex malt bill, as it is just a potpourri of spices. BJCP 6/2/10/4/5
2.5 Bottle at America on Tap Cloudy light golden color. Huge pumpkin pie spice in the aroma and flavor. I think I liked the grapefruit juice one a little more, Not a fan.
3.6 12 oz bottle from a six pack bought at the supermarket. Aroma is strong in pumpkin pie spices along with strong floral notes, lemon, wet dog. Pours a weird dark muddy orange-brown with a medium off-white head that falls fairly quick into a ring. Taste is a mixture of pumpkin beer and lemon shandy with strong raisin, nutmeg, and lemon flavors. Body is medium to thin, mouthfeel creamy. This is my favorite Traveler yet. Billy and Brenn are going to love it.
2.4 Sampled from the bottle. Pours a clear amber with an off-white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has an odd combination of lemon and pumpkin spice. Flavor combines sweet grain, spice and lemon.
2.8 First i must say this is a pumpkin beer that i can stomach....so many are over spiced...the only problem i have is it tastes too much like my moms pumpkin bread....actually really good when mixed with summit saga at a 50/50 ratio...try it!
2.8 Bottle:   Super lemony on the nose, slight pumpkin like spices.   A bit like lemon pledge tho...   Thankfully not as artificial on the tongue.   Pretty lemony tho, and again with only soft pumpkin spices.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   By the finish the lemon appears gone and the pumpkin spices seem a bit more pronounced.   Tiz okay, prefer my pumpkins without the lemon, and certainly without the lemon pledge aroma.
2.8 Pours dark gold with a medium off white head. Aroma is pumpkin and spices. Taste is very sweet with a lot of spices. Light bodied with sticky finish. Overly sweet.
2.6 Bottle. I put this off really long and finally decide to tick a few shandy’s. I was hoping this wouldn’t be awful. The aroma is light lemons mixed with pumpkin spice. Odd. Ok, so yes.. It is lemonade mixed with pumpkin spice. Nutmeg, cinnamon and an almost artificial gourd note. Sugary fake pumpkin. Well, I was expecting this to be vile. However, it’s only mildly offensive. Still will not revisit.
3.7 This is the first beer of the night for beer club. This was tasted from Cannery Row Beer Club. Cheers!
3.6 Yellow pot with white head and lace. Aroma is large pumpkin. Flavor is the same with a touch of citrus. Light bodied with good carbonation. My first shandy and it is pretty good
