Desciption - We took a decadent Honey Wheat Wine and placed it into a woodford reserve bourbon barrel 4 months ago. Tipping the abv scales at 12%, Wood Ya Honey is a a beer to be savored. Flavors of caramel, honey, vanilla, wood, and bourbon intermingle creating a crimson colored delight.

Texture: Heavy, soft, medium co2.
Po nalaniu ładna brązowa piana, ale ulatuje niemal momentalnie. Barwa jest czarna. Aromat piękny i złożony, z wybijającą się słodką nutą miodową. Do tego wanilia i mnóstwo beczki. Smak słodki, wyraźnie dominujący miód pięknie przeplata się z beczkowymi klimatami wanilii i kokosa. Potem pojawia się mocny wygrzew od alkoholu, dający gorzki akcent. Wysycenia niewiele, piękna gęsta faktura. Cudne piwo.
Aus der Flasche (Vintage 2017) im Muted Horn 2018-09 getrunken. Schon in der Nase strömen einem deutliche Aromen von Bourbon BA und Honig entgegen. Doch am Gaumen treten diese Aromen dann überraschend elegant zurück. Auch der hohe Alkoholgehalt ist perfekt eingebunden. Hier hat Jackie O ein Meisterwerk am Braukessel hingelegt. Klasse Stoff!

Nice slightly fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head, clear dark ruby color. Aroma is slightly sweet sour-ish boozy, dark malts, dark sugar, sweet bourbon, minerals, oak, caramel, hay, chocolate, spices, nuts, toffee, honey, fruit stones. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish boozy, oak, weeds, bourbon, bark, minerals, fruit stones, spices, grass, nuts, fruit stones, chocolate, honey. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly harsh boozy mouthfeel. Nice.

Bottle, vintage 2017, shared with Inbreak & friends. Pours dark brown mahogany, with a creamy, off white head. Aroma is dark malts, with marzipan, kandi, dark fruits and wooden notes, as well muscovado, chocolate and leather. Full body, with soft to average carbonation. Flavour is dark fruity malts, with raisins and dark fruits and muscovado, as well as chocolate and wooden barrels. Dry malty finish.
Ładna etykieta, ciemne, mętne piwo i kiepska piana. Za to pachnie cudowanie! Wanilia, miód, kokos, ciasteczka owsiane, czekolada, rodzynki, wiśnie! W smaku sporo czekolady, dużo beczki - bourbon, dębina, wanilia, lekki kokos. Jest miód, czekolada, ciemne owoce, rodzynki, odrobina palonego słodu i ciasteczek. Pachnie odrobinę lepiej niż smakuje, ale nadal to super piwo! Może brakuje odrobiny ciała, w tle delikatny alkohol, który nie przeszkadza.
Bottle. Pours a somewhat cloudy reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel, fruit, vanilla, and bourbon. Taste is very similar. Very nice Barley Wine.
Nieduża, nietrwała piana, mahoniowa, klarowna barwa. W zapachu wanilina, karmel, rodzynki, miód, marcepan, whisky... Fajnie. W smaku również sporo wanilii, karmelu, toffi, do tego orzechy włoskie, bourbon, daktyle w miodzie. Dość słodkie, ale nie #teamslodyczka. Średnia, głogowo tytoniowa, zalegająca goryczka, niskie do średniego wysycenie, lepkie, dość pełne, choć nie gęste w odbiorze. Spore rozgrzewanie, ale przyjemne.
Ogólnie fajne, nie pasuje mi tylko profil goryczki i nikłą obecność miodu...
Aromat: w zapachu słodziutkie cudeńko, miód, karmel ,wanilia, kandyzowane owoce, daktyle. Szkoda że bourbon od beczki taki subtelny, beczka głównie daje wanilią. Zapach jest tak apetyczny ze aż ślinka cieknie.
Wygląd: ciemna miedź, nieprzejrzyste, niewielka, ciemnokremowa piana, po chwili całkowicie zanikająca.
Smak: nie jest aż tak słodkie jak wskazywał by aromat. miód gryczany, suszone owoce, drzewne nuty, wanilia, ciemne owoce, karmel, suszone figi, skórki suszonych owoców. Może odrobina sosu sojowego, jest takie nieco pełne i umami. Trochę szlachetnego bourbona. Bardzo pełne i treściwe, rozgrzewa. Dobry balans ale tak szczerze mówiąc spodziewałem się tu więcej słodyczy.
Odczucie: pełne, gładkie, nisko wysycone, nieźle ułożone choć alkohol lekko szczypie w język. Na finiszu suszone owoce.
Całość: za mało miodu, bourbona i słodyczy. Aromat dużo lepszy niż smak. Poza tym ciekawe, bogate i bardzo smaczne. Antic z tego browaru dużo lepszy. 9/4/7/4/16
Pours brown with ruby reflexes. Aroma: a lot of bourbon barrel, a slight touch of honey and dried fruit. Taste is also dominated by barrel, dried fruit and a touch of caramel. Nice but I am missing the wheat character.

Pours brown with a small head. Aromas of chocolate, honey and wood. Tastes woody with caramel, whiskey, chocolate and sour notes. Medium body+
13%, 10 mounths bba version. Aroma: mainly bourbon notes, vanilla, some woody, paper-like notes, alc. Taste: sweet, alc. more and more detectable during warming. Carbonation is average for style. Beer has some head but with big bubbles and dissappears easly.
Tasted from bottle. 2016 vintage. Pours dark brown with slightly off white head. Aroma of caramel, bourbon, toffee and a hint of honey. Moderately sweet. Flavors of bourbon, caramel, toffee, candied apple. Not much honey flavor. Interesting beer but not my favorite of the Jackie O’s BA beers.
375ML Bottle from AFH. leather brown color. Smells really good! leather, cinnamon, brown sugar. a little tar flavor, finish is mildy bitter. no honey flavors. This is fantastic. slightly oxidized but it's good.
375 ml bottle in a trade with Jstax, thanks Jeremy! 2016 vintage. Almost clear brown color, fast fleeting head. Aroma is crystal malt, caramel, and mellow bourbon. The taste is sweet toffee, caramel, pleasant bourbon, honey is low. The bourbon cuts the sweetness down and the texture is dry. Pretty nice blend of flavors.

MBCC. Hazy dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, dried fruit and bourbon. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish with heavy alcohol. Boozy. 120517
Mbcc blue. Browny clear. Malty, some sweetness, old booky, malted overdone wheats on nose. And light herby. Kinda nice tho. Fullish bodied. Enjoyable, soft enough, bitters. Tasty nice.

Tap @MBCC2017, Blue Session. Clear dark red brown. Beige head. Malty aroma, light cinmamon perhaps and cocoa. Sweet, malty and bourbon-y flavour. Nice boozyness.
