2.1 Very sweet aroma. First impression is not that bad but then you get that watered down brew. Like fake cherry drink.
1.8 Bière périmé depuis 2 ans. Tres claire.
3.3 Bottle, 250 ml courtesy of Miro. Shared with him and rest of the crew at the grand tasting 11/2016. Pours clear orange with white head. Vinous, citrus, grapes, quite sour, some sugary note which I didn’t like. Light to medium bodied.
Brave gueuze. M: Dorstlesser met medium carbonatie.
3.0 October 26, 2016. Bottle at home, best before 250616. Very light hazy pale amber with a small white head. Aroma is sweet, funky, malty and fruity with some toffee, apples, oak, light earthy barnyard notes. Taste is light sweet, funky, fruity and light tart. Finish is sour with some green apple skins, light lemon notes, very light malt character and hints of funk. Light to medium bodied, average carbonation. Decent...
3.6 Bottle - Sour aroma. Medium strong vinegar sour, with a very slight bitter end taste, but still a good sour beer
2.8 At the Sour Beer meeting @MBR. Thanks to whoever brought it! Poured a misty golden body. Malty, slightly funky aroma, dried figs, extremely mild. Subdued malty notes, honey even (?!?), liiight citric touch. Damn weak, not really sour. Not bad as such, but not particularly good. A gueuze for those too scared to try the regular stuff but wanna try a gueuze.
3.5 Pours a hazy copper amber color, topped with a medium small white head, non-lasting. Nice soury cellar nose with some fruity back like apples and pears. Fruity soury taste, not too intense with some funky cellar feel. Puckering finish. Nice one. More on the gentler side.
2.9 Bottle at Rootz, who would have thought a gueuze tick would appear at a local bar! Clear amber with a small white head. Aroma of green apple, vinegar, citrus, fruits, light malt and a touch of funk. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and sour. Light medium bodied with above light carbonation.
3.0 Amber beer, small head. Aroma is sour, weird stuff like every geuze. Taste is sour, fruit, some sweetness okish,
3.4 Small head, dissolves quickly, no foam. Aroma of fresh green apples, maybe hint of plums as well. Hazy orange color. In taste green apples again, no so sour as other lambics so I like it.
3.2 A clear bight amber colour with a small white head that quickly disappeared to film. Green apples and light cider like aroma. A tart apple taste but with some honey notes combined with a dry finish.
3.1 Bottle. Pours in pale body with medium white head. Aroma has fruity touch, citrus, light sour. Taste has medium sourness, mostly fruity, low bitterness. Body is medium, high carbonation.
3.0 Butelka. Aromat cukierkowo cukrowy z lekką nutą taniego wina. Smak slodki, lekko kwaśny. Dosyć plaski i bez głębi. Ale nie takie złe.
3.1 25cl bottle at ’t Oud Liefken in Waarschoot (1 IV 2016), shared with a friend. A hazy amber, even orangy looking pale lambic, with keen cellar, floor, dust and dirt aromas. The taste has lemon sour features, though it is not acidic or brett-like. The mouthfeel is so very dry, with lots of sugars too. Secondly, there are some fruit notes too, making this a pretty sweet yet pleasant quencher. The dryness makes this geuze a smooth drinker.
3.1 Looks light amber. Bright clear, but also cloudy as hell. Sweet and sourish aroma. Sourness also leads the taste with dry apples and barley malts. Light and acidic. Carbonation nearly flat which is fits this beer well. Once I get used to the acidity, I kind of like.
3.3 (Bottle, La Porte Noir, Brussels, 17 Oct 2015) Golden amber colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, slightly sourish nose with stable, grapefruit, ripe pears and sour grapes. Malty, tart taste with notes of lemon, grapefruit, some vinegar, barnyard and a tart taste with a light fruity sweetness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty, but a bit unrefined, gueuze. Quite nice.
2.3 Bottle at a bar. Poured a hazy light Amber colour with a white head. Nose of citrus, ripe fruits, old green apples, sugar, tart vinegar, grains, flavor is very weird. A combination of sour tart notes but with a sweet aftertaste. Not good
3.3 Bottle at home. Sour, sour and sour, like as sour apple and lemon but I’m waited for such. Aroma has some yeast and some sour. Overal, isn’t complex, too sour.
2.0 Bottle. Copper colour, white foam. Sweet nose of caramel, lemon, sugar and sweeteners. Light tart notes. Not well balanced. Not very good.
4.0 330 bottle at Het Amsterdammertje, Göteborg. Haxy yellow with white head, Sour, funky and nice. Very sour.
2.8 37.5CL, dark orange pour. small 1 finger head. some thick yeasty pour at the end. Aroma is sour grapes, table sugar and musk / moldy basement. Interesting taste. Very sweet for a Gueuze. Funky, lemon lime finish. thin body. not worth writing home about.
3.1 Aroma of sour apple, tart fruit, light barnyard funk. Flavour is moderate sour and light sweet. Mediocre for the style, but as commercial Gueuzes go I’ve had far worse.
2.8 Bottle. Orange/golden body. Mildly tart aroma with some unintelligible fruits. Watery mouthfeel with low tartness. Thin body with medium to low tartness. Pretty sweet. Low sourness in the finish. Well, this can be a refreshing thirst drink in the summer but as a Gueuze it’s not interesting.
