Jacobsen Saaz Blonde

Jacobsen Saaz Blonde

English: Saaz Blonde is brewed according to the Belgian tradition but with Czech Saaz hops. It has a light colour with a blonde head. The flavour is fruity, contrasted by the dryness of angelica, clove and coriander. The aroma is rounded by a pine needle character from the Saaz hops. The finish has a moderate bitterness. Enjoy at 5-7 degrees Celsius.

2.3 A bit dissapointing, after reading the description. Light version of a belgian ale.
Exotique.
3.0 Tap. Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, spice, quite fruity, slight marzipan note. Rather sweet, loads of yeasty character, marzipan, banana like feel, light bitterness.
2.9 At the airport: pours golden with white head. Aroma is light Belgian yeast and vague sugariness. Light hoppiness. Kind if sweet. One dimensional.
2.2 I bought this bottle in one coop in Lausanne. I drank it tonght at home with my wife after a long day, sunny and beautiful. I was personnaly disappointed with this beer, of course it is just my own impression. The date of the bottle said until september 2017, they write about the style: Belgium golden ale or I am stupid or they were drunk doing these million of hectoliters but it is really noy a Belgium ale, I could say that it is a kind of imperial lager. At the beginning with the first sip, the impression is not that bad, malty, some honey, sugar, few hop but when you take the second or the third one, the taste is becoming metalic, hard notes of alcool, astringent, I don’t know where they take the saaz hop but they took it from a another planet, boring and soapy notes at the final.
3.1 Bottle from Coop. Pours clear amber with a little head. Aroma is strong brown malts, caramel, little fruity hops, some pine, caramel. Body is medium, rather sweet, with a low but lively carbonation, turning more bitter towards the palate. Rather hefty in texture, and only turns Belgian on the palate. Okay.
2.9 0.33l bottle from coop in zurich. pours a clear amber with a frothy white head. aroma of hay, grains, and a bit of barf, quite disappointing. flavour of grains, almonds, alcohol. angelica? medium bitter.
3.0 Clear orange color with tall white head. Aroma is fruity and caramel. Taste is little sweet with bitter finish, notes of wheat and caramel. Ok beer, but not my favourit.
3.1 Bottle. Yellowy Gold in colour. Average creamy off-white head. Good Lacing. Very Spicy (coriander) & yeasty. Malty: wheaty malts, caramel. Fruity, banana. Hoppy; grassy hops. Perfumed aroma. Sweet. Smooth malty spicy beer with low bitterness. Dry malty finish. Not bad. Liked it. (2015-04-15)
2.9 Pours nice with small white head. Nose is restricted with some sweet roundness of the typical Saad. Taste goes the same way with characteristic of Saad. Sweetness accompany the very light hops. Palate short but with some hops.
3.0 Bottle 75cl. Small white layer. Almost clear caramel color. Aroma is caramel, nuts, cookies, leaves. Taste is sweet with chemicals
2.8 Clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is bread, grain and citrus. Taste is malt, corn and apple.
3.0 Bottle. Golden color, white and dense foam. Aroma: malt, pear, spice, other fruits, yeast. Taste: malt, fruit, apple and pear, a little white wine.
3.4 Pours nearly opaque light copper-brown, not much head but this was a short pour. Strong, fruity aroma invites a taste. Strong flavor features mainly pomme fruit, a bit of banana, and more than a hint of fruit. Mouthfeel delivers firm, smooth body and lively tingle. Saaz who? Saaz Jacobsen!
3.1 Lukt: Frukter, plomme, urter, anelse karamell. Utseende: Gulbrun. Skum/kullsyre: Tykt skum. Smak: Frukter, plomme, urter og en anelse karamell. Hvor: Kjøpt@Taxfree Kastrup, Nydt@Hjemme. Medium: Flaske@750ml, ABV@7,1%, Når@17.09.2016
2.1 This is bad. Cloying banana and cloves. The opposite of balanced. Low expectations but still not good.
3.0 Dark golden, rich head. Aroma of spices, malt with a hint of peach. Medium body, high carbonation. Malty sweet fruity taste. Ok.
3.0 Somewhat sweet beer with fruity aromas with a good palate sensation. Recommended, but nothing special.
3.0 From tap. Golden with white soapy foam. Floral aroma with some malt and citrus. Sweet with a light bitter finish. Easy drinking beer.
3.4 Bottle at the Ballygrant Inn, Islay. Appearance - deep golden with a decent thin head. Nose - dirty toffee and banana. Taste - more banana and earthy toffee notes. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - this falls more into hefeweizen than Belgian blonde for me. It lacks that Belgian tang thing that defines that style for me.
2.8 Have it outside with crisps! Very hoppy and fruity! A nice blonde which tastes a lot of dried fruits!
3.4 A slightly hazy, golden pour with a frothy, white head. The aroma is lightly spicy with notes of clove, banana, and white grape. It has a light with smooth texture and average carbonation. The taste is sweet, but finishes more bitter and slightly dry.
4.6 75 cl bottle l. Pours honey golden white foam, good retention. Nose is fruity melon, oranges, citrus and faint banana. Taste is balanced sweet and dry with low bitterness. Fruity esters - melon banana, cloves.
2.4 Fresh acidity but not too much. A bit watery and anonymous too though. Best served cold. Summer beer.
3.5 200ml on-tap at Carlsberg Brewery/Visitor Centre, Copenhagen: Decent, obviously Carlsberg keep all the good stuff in Denmark & export their crap beer to the UK, that being said it wasn’t a particularly memorable beer really. I got some nice freshness & pleasant fruits to kick things off, mainly oranges, citrus & bananas which also added some sweetness. Towards the middle there was a few earthy malts & biscuit flavours that started to come through but on the whole it wasn’t anything special & it’s probably not one I’d seek out again.
3.0 Very nice and easy drinkable beer. Clear and light golden color. Very moderate bitternes, soft mouth, no significant taste.
Medium karbonering.
2.6 Bottles from Tesco, Gateshead and Sainsbury’s. Pale golden in colour with a very thin white head. It has a strong spicy fruity flavour, followed by herbal notes and zest on the warming finish. Ok, but far too much ABV for the flavour.
