4.0Draught @ Bells & Whistles. Quite pale, and with a bit of haze. Medium head. On the nose, some dried flowers and that sort of thing, a bit of yeast, light brett. Herbal, floral, with a honeyish note, again light brett. Fairly dry - clean and well-balanced, with a nice malt underpinning. A beer that you'd drink a lot of, if given the option.
3.8On tap. Pours a light hazy gold with little head. Aromas of dull wheat, candied citrus and a little Belgian yeast.
Flavors of sweetened lemons, Fruit jelly Dupont yeast and wheaty malts. Can’t get much barrel but not really needed. Pretty subtle though clean, and fruit does shine. Session Saison.
3.8A glass at Bells and Whistles shared with Sunshine. Pours a hazy blonde with a white head. Aroma is very fresh with lots of pleasant fruity and barrel notes as well as some slight funk. Taste is similar, not that complex, along the same lines. Very drinkable. Good.
3.7Golden yellow with thin white head. Semi sweet, semi sour aroma. Yeast and malt. Quite a clean taste, a very focused farmhouse. Not overwhelming farmy, noticeable but we'll balanced with caramel and light fruits. Very easy drinking.
3.4Very active on pour thin effervescent head cloudy straw appearance sweet oaky aromas not much in the way of yeast aromas. Not overly sour very well balanced.
3.675cl Bottle @ Boxbeers.com, Copenhagen, Denmark.
Hazy golden colour with a thin white head.
Aroma is citrus, oak, tart, slightly yeasty.
Taste follows the aroma.
Medium body, average carbonation.
3.5Beim Öffnen heftiges Gushing, darunter leidet leider die Spritzigkeit. Aromatisch klar ein Sour, fruchtig vergoren, Birne, Aprikose, Mirabellen. Im Trunk dank Gushing etwas flach. Wenig sauer, trocken, holzig, mittig bis hinten leicht bitter. Ganz hinten nochmal ne Schippe Trockenheit im Rachen, sehr interessanter Abgang, klasse.

4.0Batch 21, August 2017; sampled March 2018
A steady for produces a two-finger thick, almost perfectly white colored head the beer is a pale yellow color that shows a hazy, pale golden hue when held up to the light. The aroma has a almost spiciness to it, a funky, fermented fruit like note, and a musty, ripe, funky Farmhouse cheese character to it. The fruit character here is quite expressive, though I'm having a hard time naming what the fruit is; perhaps it is a mixture of lime zest, Floral melon, or some funky Sauvignon Blanc like wine character.
Nicely tart with a really ripe fruitiness that makes me think of some sort of funky tropical fruit; perhaps it is durian, maybe some Gooseberry like notes, or maybe it is some sort of funky melon like character. Any carbonation is quite effervescent and prickly, this pairs nicely with the light, but not thin body. This has a soft bitterness, a dank, sort of funky leaning herbal character and lots of ripe, hop fruitiness to it.
This is a fantastic beer, light, easy drinking, but lots of character. I really like how funky this beer is; the mix of wild fermentation character and fruity, dank hop character is quite nice.
4.0Bottle from brewery in a bottle: pours a pale hazy yellow with a white head. Bottle was a bit of a gusher. Aroma is lightly funky, citrusy a hint earthy. Taste is not really sour, perhaps a bit tart. Very interesting finish. Pleasant aftertaste. Smooth body with a bretty sort of tang. I liked it a lot.
3.9750ml bottle. Musty lemony citrus aroma with notes of funk, saison yeast, oak and grape must. Pours pale golden colored with a thin white head that has little retention and some lacing. Starts with musty lemon, funk and spicy saison yeast as well as a lively mouthfeel. Finishes dry with oak and vinous grape flavors. Really nice saison.
3.5Bottle from Zac playing Rummikubes on Christmas. A light, lemony, spritzy saison that keeps a little earthy spice. Nicely brewed
3.6Hazy, pale yellow with white head. Strong aroma of spice and citrus. Tartness and wild yeast. Nice.
3.6750ml bottle obtained in a trade. Pours hazy golden yellow with a fizzy bubbly white head. Very carbonated. Smells funky and tart. Hops and barrel wood come through as well. Winey musk to it along with a wheat finish. Tastes tart, sour, funky, woody, hoppy bitterness cut out with the dry barrel wood. Very good. Nice full mouthfeel and funky aftertaste. Dirnks like a crisp pale ale with a sour finish. I enjoyed it.
3.8A good, dry sour. Pours light, but has a very aggressive malty, oaky character that lends balance to the sourness. Courtesy of Emma for Christmas in 2016.
3.7On draft at the source. Pours hazy yellow with a white blanket of foam on top. Lemon pie filling, farmhouse tart dry finish.
3.9Bottle at tasting. Aroma of sour citrus, dry yeast and oak. Nice taste of soft tart, citrus, oak, whisky, dry yeast and some grain. Very balanced and tasty.
4.025.36 oz bottle at El Camino. This is a hazy gold with no real head. The aroma is a little sour and peppery, certainly funky. My favorite thing about Jester King is how absurdly dry most of their beers are. This is no exception, it’s drier than most any other beers I can think of. Even, pleasant sourness is in the flavor with notes of oak, straw, barnyard, and lemons. Very tasty.
3.4Bottle. Cloudy yellow orange pour, with a white head. Light fruit, citrus, oak, some funk, and some sour apple.
3.7750 ml. shared bottle. Pours a somewhat hazy pale gold with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, wood, and funk. Taste is citrus, fruit, wood, and funk. Nice one.
3.5750ml thanks to rich pours out a cloudy golden. Nose is brett funk spice some oak barrel. Taste is more of the brett funk some citrus and a nice spice.
3.7On tap at CBC 2013. Pours a clearish yellow with a white head and hints of lacings. Sour with a light sweet- and bitterness. Aromas of sour apples with grassy hints of hops. Medium bodied. Soft carbonation. Dry finish.
4.1pours a golden yellow color with a quick dissipating head. Aromas of sour funk with some wood notes. Tastes almost guezelike...
3.5Pours a hazy/cloudy yellowish orange with white head. Very carbonated. Oak, brett, a bit of vanilla, funk, and citrus on the nose follows onto the palate. Medium bodied. Finishes tart and dry.
3.54 oz sample. Pour was light straw and totally opaque. Very unique looking. My wife said it looked like "sailor pee" and I couldn’t really argue. Farmhouse funky aroma. Okay, this is my 8th sample. They are all starting to taste the same. Light hay, mild fruit with a lot of yeastiness. I’m not sure I’m getting the barrel aging flavor in here. Still, this one is spicy, funky and dry. A good effort.
3.5Pours a hazy golden yellow color with a medium fluffy white head that left some lacing around the glass. The aroma is lemon, citrusy, and hay. The taste is sour up front, but you also pick up the citrus and lemon.
3.3Cloudy orange color with a foam ring. Sour nose with hints of a yeasty saison. The taste is dry, sour, has a foamy carbonation and a weird milky mouth feeling. Dry aftertaste.
4.1Bomber - A very nice hazy yellow pour. Sour at first but also lemon, some grains and again with sour. Definitely sour. A dry citrus finish.
