3.5 33cl bottle, poured into a snifter on 6-Oct-2018. Hazy pale amber with a large white head. Aroma of citrus, grain and spices. Medium body and carbonation. Taste of grain, wheat, sweet malt, orange and lemon. Hoppy, dry with a long lasting bitter fruity finish. Slightly tart. Enjoyable.
4.2 Kruidig bier, goed doordrinkbaar. Mild/ blond Middenweg tussen ipa en pils
3.0 Neutral, decent beer, small head, with mildly bitter aftertaste. The extra hops don't seem to work, as much as I would have expected. The three malt mix (wheat, oats, rye?) isn't creating much magic. You might see sediments in your beer which I suppose is expected in some crafts.
3.9 Tap at jopenkerk, Haarlem. Hazy yellow color fine white head. Aroma of fresh hops and grass, pale malts, incense, pine. Very fresh and balsamic, average carbonation medium body zesty finish. Nice and funny
3.4 Birra fruttata, dalle forti note di luppolo fresco
4.5 Fles 30cl thuis. Lekkere droge smaak. Fris bitter. (5-2011).---------------.
3.0 Light hazy pour. Fruity and yeasty with a long lasting bitter at the end. Muffled taste. Between a blond, Saison and an ipa. Though it serves none of these styles correctly. Nice when cold on a hot day but forgettable.
4.0 Pours hazy golden/yellow with decent white head. Aroma is hops and some faint citrus. Well-balanced composition of hops, just a tender bitterness, grain fruit/citrus. Very good.
3.5 Bottle at home. Pours a nice dark gold with a frothy head, little retention. Roma is very herbal, some maltiness, quite spicy. Interesting, unusual aroma. Medium body. Nice hoppy-herbal flavour, hops come out a lot more in flavour. Rather bitter. Nice malty backbone. Spicy kick to this beer; overall it's really very hoppy without the more fruity elements of an IPA. Enjoyed this more and more, nice stuff.
3.3 Bottle from Hoogvliet. Cloudy dark yellow with thick white head. Moderate carbonation. Nice and hoppy start with honey and fruit finish. Good
3.1 0,33l Flasche. Gelb trüb, dünner Schaum. Kräuter Blüten Hopfenduft. Würzig. Antrunk recht leicht. Blumen, etwas Honig und Kräuter.
4.1 Geschonken uit fles in Jopen tulp. Oranjegoud, troebel. Neus van perzik, zoetig. Prettig zacht in de mond, hoppig bittertje, doet denken aan een IPA, maar vooral fruitig blond, mooi smaakpalet. Goed.
3.7 (Bottle) Pours cloudy golden amber with small white head. Nice aroma - malt, bread, with toffee and pepper hints. Great mouthfeel - full, creamy, soft and bright. Taste starts with gentle malty sweetness with notes of dough, and develops a nice peppery spice and then on to a long finish with pleasant bitterness steadily dominating over lingering soft toffee sweetness. Very nice.
3.9 Beautiful hazy golden colour; white foam, hoppy, and a bit fruity taste; pleasant bitter aftertaste; medium body; slick feel, lively carbonated. All in all - pretty good beer!
3.1 Very appealing yellow/orange slightly hazy pour with a big meringue like head. A beauty!!! Aroma is a bit faint. Some hops and bready malts in there but I had to take a couple of whiffs to discover them. The flavor however, pretty malted and sweet with hoppy bitterness. No digging needed to uncover flavor. Not to complex though. Body is thin to medium with also medium carbonation. Not a bad one.

3.1 Bottle. Hazy deep golden color with a thin head. Mild aroma of grain with some fruity notes. Some sweetness in taste. Medium thin body. -- rated with beerbasher/winphone
4.0 Gelb orange leicht trüb mit weißem Schaum. Der Geruch ist grasig, harzig, zitronig. Der Antrunk ist würzig, leicht süß malzig. Die Zitrusnote harmoniert wunderbar damit. Ein belgisches Blonde mit eigenem Charakter.Gut!
3.6 BaconManButterWheatFlowerFreak! Stumpf, fruity & hefig verworren!✨ 0,33l Flasche aus Holland.
3.2 White thin head stayed on a hazy golden still body. Minimal aroma - yeast, banana & citrus hints. Medium bodied, soft on the palate & tingly on the back. Peach, melon, sweet citrus & banana tastes.
3.4 19/VII/17 - 33cl bottle from a Dutch supermarket @ home - BB: 23/III/19 (2017-1048) Clear blond beer, big fluffy irregular solid off-white head, falls down quickly. Aroma: pretty fruity, pears, citrus, bit metallic, malty, yeast, some banana. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter, malty, some citrus, grains, little sweet, some banana. Aftertaste: floral touch, very bitter, grassy, bit metallic, fruity, banana, bit sweet.
3.2 bottle from Het Bierhuis, Breda, I found this brew fairly competitive with European brewed APAs. Aroma of fruity, sweet and a bit pine/spruce is average in intensity, hoppy flavor also - very nice, mild, pleasant. Slightly thick/mashy malt texture, but without mashy off-flavors. Pours slightly unclear. Taste is medium sweet with light bitterness. Avg- carbonation.
2.6 Sample at Eriksen. Yellow with a white head. Aroma medium malty and hoppy (grass, citrus). Flavor light sweet and spicy. Light to medium body.
3.6 0.33 l bottle from Alko Arkadia, Helsinki. Appearance is golden, cloudy and with a huge head. Aroma has spices. Taste is sweet and spicy - not hoppy despite the name. Similar to modern Belgian spicy ale. Quite good.
3.0 30cl bottle at home. Appearance: hazy pale straw with medium white head. Aroma: hoppy, orange, citrus, banana. Taste: fairly high sweetness and pretty high bitterness. Notes of orange, yeast, banana. Palate: medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation.
3.3 Ik vond deze wat smaak betreft toch licht tegenvallen. Aroma was prima, de kleur ook. Gedronken uit fles.
3.4 Although called Hoppenbier, the hops aren’t that overpowering. The nose has plenty of spice and some malt to it. Bit of grass, but also plenty of citrus. Unfortunatly, the nose is stronger than the taste. Certainly not bad, it also isn’t highly complex. Mostly hop-bitter, and slight sweetness. The body is light, which helps really, making this an accesible beer. All in, not Jopen’s best, but certainly not horrible. A nice drinkable ale, would work a treat on a hot day sitting on a terras somewhere, enjoying the nice weather.
