Jopen Johannieter
Jopen Johannieter is a very dark and powerful, heavy beer that is very nutritious. Thanks to the use of roasted wheat malt, this beer has a lot of character without being very sweet. The beer style is a hybrid of a Dubbelbok (double bock) and Export Stout. The beer is unfiltered and subjected to secondary fermentation in the bottle.

Donkerbruin bier met een licht beige schuimkraag die snel weg zakt. Moutig met smaken van droog fruit zoals pruimen en koffie en caramel. Een licht rinse smaak komt subtiel opzetten.
Quite interesting. Truly halfway between the double bock and stout.

Smak: średnio wysoka słodycz, niska goryczka, średnio wysokie nasycenie, banan, czekolada, ciasteczka. Czerwone jabłko, wiśnie. Świetne, deserowe piwo.
Dark colored, brown head. Aromas of red fruit, some citric sourness. Subtle liquorice as well. This comes back in the taste, with roasted caramel. Smooth, rich, well balanced. Great dark ale - not a typical bock beer though.
Heel donkerbruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is warm, licht zoet en een heel licht zuurtje. met iets van drop, pruimen en rozijnen.
330ml bottle as Vintage Johannieter from TBS in Moscow. Pours opaque black with a tall tan head. Aroma is roasty, smokey, dark fruits, leather. Taste is medium sweet, roasted malt, dark chocolate, dark fruits, medium to heavy bitter finish. Full bodied. It’s decent but I don’t see how it fits into the weizenbock category.
Bottle 33cl. Dark brown with a light brown head. Aroma has hints of chocolate, raisins, nutty and sweet malt. Soft sweet taste, chocolate(milk). Nice one.

Vintage version. Marrone scuro, schiuma beige ampia e compatta. Al naso mix di fruttato e malto tostato. Anche al palato questa complessità di sapori, con note di banana, malto, caramello, cioccolato. Bassa carbonazione. Dolcina.

Flesje van de AH. Zwarte kleur. Ruikt gebrande mout, melige caramel. Smaakt idem, weinig body. niet mijn smaak helaas.

Heel donkerbruin en een plakkerige kraag. Aroma van koffieijs, caramel, cacaomelk. Smaakt cremig , mokkakoffielikeur, donkere mout. mocht wat mij betreft wat voller van smaak zijn..
Bottle at home, Vintage 2019, 5th March 2020. Pours a dark brown black beer. Aroma is dark caramel, molasses, dark malts. Taste is smooth, dark malts, rich, light sweet and good bitterness balance, molasses, very enjoyable
0,33 l Flasche. Schwarzes Bier mit cremefarbenen Schaum. Riecht wie Ritter Sport Rum- Traube- Nuss. Schmeckt dann alkoholisch, recht bitter, Röstaromen.
Bottle at the dockside tap. Pours deep brown, nose is chocolate, banana, cream, meaty, taste is similar.

Weizenbock en version doppel et en édition vintage.
Cette bière a reçu divers gold awards.
Abv de 9 % et ebu de 25.
Mon exemplaire pouvait attendre novembre 2022.
Couleur noir aux reflets marron sombre, à l'opacité forte.
Mousse brun clair, à fins flocons, stable à 1 mm.
Arômes café, ganache, cacao, bavarois, pointe de tabac brun.
1ère bouche très souple, à la très belle entame malt torréfié.
Arrière-bouche aux saveurs moins définies, un peu lissées.
2ème bouche avec café/chicorée, agréable mais peu unie.
Arrière-bouche qui connaît la même descente de qualité que la 1ère.
Longueur qui parvient enfin à éviter ces baisses de régime.
On détecte une pointe de zeste d'orange dans l'ensemble torréfié.
Les saveurs sont plus pleines, mais on est loin du top …
Jambes huileuses, longues, collantes sur la hauteur.
Levure correcte.
Alcool sous son niveau, il ne peut gérer les 1ères bouches, il arrive
sur le tard et même alors il ne travaille pas complètement.
Finale agréable, sans plus.
CONCLUSION : un weizenbock qui devient agréable sur la longueur,
mais pas du tout un foudre de guerre ni une bête de concours …

Tammen ruskea lasissa. Tuoksussa on karamellisuutta, luumua, pähkinäisyyttä ja mallasta. Mausta löytyy edelleen luumua ja muita tummia hedelmiä, karamellia ja lakritsia. Suutuntuma on pehmeä, eikä alkoholi juurikaan tunnu.

Quite rich aroma& taste.

Een fantastische weizer dubbelbock, een geur van chocola. De zoetheid geurt je tegemoet. Een prachtige donkere kleur met een kleine beige schuimkraag. Een heerlijk geniet bier.
Süffiger, wenig hefiger Beginn. Zu weich angesichts des Alkoholgehalts, reife Banane, dunkles Getreide. Steigende Intensität, mittellanger Abgang. Unauffällig, etwas Marzipan. Okay. 10/11/11/11/10/11
Volle romige dubbel bock. Chocolade, koffie. Duidelijk bitter van de gebrande mout. Schurkt zelfs even een beetje tegen porter aan.
"Johannieter Vintage". Bottle. Brown/black with a decent beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, fruitiness and some dark chocolate. Taste is malts, dark chocolate, some cocoa, a little bit of coffee, caramel and fruit drops. Medium bitterness and slightly acidic. Medium to strong carbonation. Nice. Very interesting take on a Doppelbock.

Great heavy bockbeer! It has a really strong vibe of porter meets bock. But straightforward enough.
Mooie bok met een medium body, zoet kruidig en een donkere schuimkraag, die niet heel lang stand houd, lekkerste van het NBF.
Zwart bier met in de afdronk smaken van koffie en karamel. voor de rest smaakt dit bier heerlijk zoet. -backlog de BierApp-
On tap as Johanneiter Vintage. Pours a dark brown with light heads. Aromas of sour wheaty malts, nutty chocolate and cola. Flavors follow same. A full tasty doppelbock.
Refrigerated 33 cL brown bottle, best by October 12, 2018 poured into a cup. Black with small off-white head. Aroma is chocolate, medium body, medium/light carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is cocoa and clove.
