3.5 Bottle from an Albert Heijn in Ghent. Pours hazy dark brown with a small, frothy, beige head. Roasted smell. The aroma contains roasted malt, coffee roast, dark chocolate, some caramel, hops and smoke. It tastes very light sweet and medium to heavy bitter with a toasty finish. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Good one.
3.5 Dark beige bubbly head stayed on a dark brown still body. Vanilla, dark chocolate & malt aroma. Medium bodied. Creamy on the palate. Dry as toast on the back. Dry coffee, dark over ripe fruit, dark chocolate, grape, smoky & plenty of roasts.
3.6 Home. 33 cl bottle. BB 30nov2017. A good brown head on a clear dark, rubbish red coloured beer. Aroma of dark malt with chocolate and light coffee. Taste of somewhat dark malt, sweet with chocolate, some coffee and hazelnuts. After this a hopbitter is coming up which became dry in the finish. Also some mocha. Full/medium body. Good carbonation. Light alcoholic taste.
3.6 Bittersweet chocolate and dark fruit aroma. Head lasts a while. Peaty bitter flavour. Some hints of vanilla.
3.9 Pours dark brown with a tan head. Good lacing. Aroma is roasty, hints of chocolate, coffee hops and smoked ham... Okay. Flavor is roasted and bitter with a sweetish malt and coffee kick. Mild sweet chocolate and coffee touch in the middle with quite an endurance. Medium bodied, thick texture and average carbonation. Pleasant and accessible Porter brew.
3.8 Ruikt heerlijk naar chocola. Smaakt ook zo dus goed. Prima porter, smaakt me goed
3.5 Fles. Lange nasmaak. Vrij scherp van smaak. full body, long finish, black, brown foam, very bitter,
3.2 (bottle) deep brown colour with a frothy beige head. aroma of roasted malts and hazelnuts, with some notes of sugar icing, physalis, herbal hops and brown sugar. flavour is mostly toasted malts and earth, with lots of liquorice, some more herbal hops and a rather dry toasty finish. heavy-bodied with average carbonation.
3.6 Bottle bought in NL last year, pours near-black with a thin tan head, aromas of burnt wood, roast coffee and a little red fruit. Ashy-dryness over sweet and lightly creamy body, a little more coffee but the burnt edge predominant.
Mooi in balans. Ondanks de relatief lage abv (6,5 %) toch boordevol smaak. Meer dan fijne porter.

3.4 Pronounced smell. Not necessarily high bitterness, but with this being bone dry, the bitterness is quite present. Dark chocolate, iron, herbaceous notes, bay leaf, liquorice. I would have liked the slightest sweetness for some relief.
3.9 Again a balanced beer from Jopen. There is a strong sweet smell licorice alike. The taste is sweet but in nice balance with the bitter. Not a fast drinkig beer but one to enjoy on a late night dinner.
