2.8 12 oz. canned 7/21/2014, Haha you poor sucker. Pour is translucent orange-bronze with a disc of beady bubbles. Nose is orange toffee and dank, ashy herb. Flavor is toffee, stale green herb, ash and maybe some toasted maize. Long finish has some mint and lemongrass. Near-medium bodied with medium carbonation and a decent balance. Not as bad as expected after seeing the date stamp but overall pretty unimpressive. I think this one proves the great preservative properties of the can as most of the pre-2015 reviews I read line up with the mess I tasted. Seems like they changed the recipe for the better after that.
3.5 Sampler at Yardhouse Las Vegas. Pours out a mostly clear golden color with a small white head. Aroma is of some nice citrus, pine, evergreen, grass, light bread. Taste is much the same, decent hop profile of citrus, evergreen, grass, little more bready malt comes across in the taste.
3.9 22nd August 2016 Hazy gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is airy with modest fine carbonation. Soft malts, mildly sweet. Nice spicy tangerine hop sweetened by a little mango. Smooth pine. Some citic peel bitterness on the smooth finish, Light on it’s feet and very drinkable.
3.6 Pour is golden with a large fluffy white head. Aroma is hops and a earthy honey note. A very easy drinker that is full of hop flavors but little bitterness.
3.6 Golden pour. Big white head that sticks to glass Sweet lemon citrus pine aroma honey like sweetness. Little thin on taste but has a nice grapefruit finish.
4.2 12 oz can. Las Vegas. Light amber color. Medium grapefruit bitterness. Wonderful hop aroma. Light malty sweetness. Well balanced. Very easy to drink. Excellent.
3.5 From the 12 fl. oz. can. The pour is a very cloudy yellow with a modest white head and lacing. The aroma is both herbal and floral. The body is medium. The taste has a slight toasted bread character to start but the herbal and floral bitterness winds it up. The herbs feel like Ginger or Rosemary.
3.1 Decent from a can. Not much malt for an iipa. Clean finish that doesn't linger.
3.6 can from Total Win in FL. Pretty solid Imperial IPA - but nothing incredible. Good beer
3.8 Draft. Pours yellow with a very slight haze. Very thin white head that dissipates quickly. Medium heavy carbonation over piney hop aroma. Nice citrus flavor with a bit of complexity. Enjoyable.
3.4 Draft to pint at Monte Carlo in Vegas pour lightly hazy avg gold with thin white head. Nose mango and tropical fruit, light floral. Taste light to moderate bitter bite up front, then some fruit and dank hop. All in all a bit muted.
3.5 22 oz bomber pours amber with a off white head. Aroma of citrus, pine and caramel. Taste is resin, caramel and malts.
3.0 Golden orange pour with some caramel, light grassy hops and malt. Flavors are the same, basic, but not bad, more malt than hops for an IPA. Ok overall, wouldn’t seek out or go out of m y way to try.
3.2 12 oz can. Pours hazy golden orange with a big creamy off white head that retains well and leaves little lacing. The aroma is sweet crystal malt with piney grassy hops and some fruit. The flavor is sweet, slightly fruity, biscuit malts with lots of grassy piney hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation. Overall, OK DIPA.
2.3 Typical citrusy hoppy IPA. The 9.2 ABV does not make it malty. ---Rated via BeerBuddy for iPhone.
3.7 Cloudy gold pour with good white head. Floral hops with citrus. Flavor is big and hoppy with resin that stays until the end. Creamy body with nice texture. Nice dry hoppy finish.
3.4 Can. Gently hazed with a deep golden hue and a large, frothy white cap. Aroma is hop-forward -- grapefruit and lemon, a little grass, some cattiness. The flavor kicks off with these bright hop notes, landing on the tongue with heavy bitterness. A hint of honeyed malt is the only sugar balancing this alpha acid onslaught, and ethanol strikes at the finish. Soft, whipped medium-light body; mild fizzy CO2. Not a terribly complex double IPA, but if you’re looking to smash your tongue with bitterness, look no further.
2.5 Pours a light caramel color with a floral and sweetness to the aroma. Flavor is sweet caramel, good amount of hops, citrus and floral. A decent IPA, lighter than expected for an Imperial. Decent bitter floral aftertaste.
3.7 25/VII/15 - 12Fl. Oz. can @ Trillium tasting, home - BB: n/a (2015-996) Thanks to sebletitje for sharing the can! Clear orange beer, creamy off-white irregular head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, pineapple, resinous, piny. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very bitter, hoppy, resinous, citrus, bit metallic, pineapple. Aftertaste: hoppy, resinous, some alcohol, pineapple, bit sourish, very bitter, caramel malts. Don’t understand how this can score so low?
3.7 355ml can from Total Wine, Tampa.
4.5 At tap room in Monte Carlo awesome pine grass aroma. Flavor of mild malts and fresh hops. Bitter fresh no alcohol heat for high abv. Excellent homie brew
4.0 Thanks to sebletitje! 355 ml. can split by 4. Hazy orange, small white head. Nose is bitter orange, pine resin rather malty with some marmalade. Taste is milky yeast, bread, bitter pine resin, some sugary sweetness, marmalade, bitter dry finish with chewy malt body & a bit too much yeast. Quite nice & decent. A bit surprised by the very low score on here. Nothing special but quite satisfactory all the same.
3.7 Can. Aroma is alright, fruity. Light tropical and citrus, bit grassy. Taste is less exciting, not much flavour, pine, not much else. Alright though.
3.3 Clear golden, bit of foam. Aroma nicely fruity, clean and dry. Bit of booze coming through. Taste is intensely bitter and hoppy but doesn’t really feel balanced. Bitter but a bit messy. Long bitter aftertaste. Overall not bad, amazing nose but the unbalanced taste was a bit of a letdown for me.
4.0 Thanks to ShoulderBroken for sharing the bottle. Poured into a taster showing deep gold, highly filtered, and no head. The nose shows sharp clean pine mixed with cannabis. The palate is thin bodied and fully carbonated. Alot of pine resin and extremely hop forward but a light sharp IPA bitterness at the finish. The intensity of the hops and flavors are out of this world. Albeit one dimension as to the flavor (pine) and really lacking any tropical fruit flavor, etc., the intensity really makes it fun.
3.2 Light golden color. Sharp grassy nose with some citrus notes, a bit harsh. The mouth is light for the abv but very simplistic. Alcohol burn at the end. Very simplistic.
4.1 Big hop aroma, pine and grapefruit. Hazy but nt cloudy. Nice head. Flavor f light malts and loads of hops.
3.3 Pours orange. Turpentine nose. Not horrible turpentine intended was hops I am sue but a little to solvent. Taste ok but the solvent overkilled it. I can see the intent but may be to old.
3.3 Pours a just barely amber gold. Nice head of white bubbles. Aroma is subtle bet pleasant. Sweet malt with some piney hops. Decently balanced taste that nods sour, actually a big nod. Palate is clean with some sticky. Hardly imperial.
3.2 Can poured a golden amber color with a thick one finger head. Aroma has malts, bitterness, resins, and an odd earthy thing. Mouth feel is medium with good carbonation. Flavor has an off balance, malted, resins, pines, hefty on the hops, and some bitterness into the finish. Just ok.
