3.9 Pours a clear amber with lively carbonation and a fluffy white head. Aroma is musty yeast, coriander, orange peel, caramel and straw. Taste is sweet with a light bitter finish with a hint of booze and plastic. Decent, just lacks the complexity of some of its peers.
3.0 Sept 2020. Bottle from BeerWulf. Good tasty Belgian blonde. I like Belgian blondes. I like this. Tasty and satisfying. I like malt and yeast. [3.0] Sept 2018. 330ml bottle, filtered, from Leclerc, Saint Cyr, during the Paris-Versailles weekend. Oh look - the last time I had this was in Cafe Belge, Canterbury in Feb 2008. Gosh, I remember that night well. Chrissie and I had intended to ask out Ian Harrison for a meal for some time. Also, I had intended to ask out an attractive female work colleague for a meal for some time. We decided, without really thinking, to ask them both out on the same night. Which happened to be Valentines. We didn't really make that connection until we noticed a) that Ian turned up looking very smart and scrubbed, and b) that he was smoothly chatting up my work colleague. He was doing really well, but wasn't really going to get anywhere because she fancied me. Now then... I think she took that evening as my attempt to brush her off, because our social life pretty much ended that night. Oh well. Anyway - the beer is a clean, strong pale malt accented beer, with some fruit tones. Lacks character and depth and life, but is pleasant enough and quite drinkable. [2.8] Feb 2008. Cafe Belge, Canterbury. Sweet and strong with a smack of yeast. Some plastic, but light, pale and tasty without being outstanding. Drinkable and satisfying. [3.1]
3.5 Grand Place Bruxelas
4.0 Bruxelas - 2017
3.0 Rating overgezet.
3.6 330ml bottle at Gollem, Amsterdam on 28/11/2008. A strong tasting blonde. Yeasty esters and slightly chalky note in the flavour, but nice boozy, grainy notes in the finish.
3.6 Look: clear gold with a large and pretty white head of excellent retention. Aroma: malt, candy, hay, corn, apricot jam, spicy yeast, distant old hop. Taste: medium sweet, malt, apricot jam, candy, spicy yeast, esters, moderate alcohol, old hop, light bitterness. Hoppy aftertaste. Palate: full body, moderate carbonation. Overall: not brilliant of course but absolutely ok.
3.2 Goudgeel blond bier met volle witte schuimkraag. Kruidig en bloemig. Redelijk in koolzuur.
3.3 Clear yellow beer. Smell of alcohol, some sourness and a hint of citrus fruits, bananas and apricots. Medium to thin body, warming feel. A bit dry. Balanced subtile sweetness, bitterness and sourness. Acessible. Nice but not particularly special.
2.2 Tung spritig belgisk öl
3.5 Vrij stevig biertje, prima smaak!
3.0 Buena cerveza. Industrial.
2.9 Bottle. Pours clear orange with a large, frothy off-white head, long retention with light lacing. Moderate bread malt, light doughy notes, medium alcohol and fruity esters, light Belgian Candi sugar, and a medium dry finish. Full body and medium carbonation.
3.3 Mildly bitter, tasty smell, pleasant aftertaste. Did not feel much alcohol.
2.9 Belle robe dorée, corps dense, fort goût d'alcool. Bulles fines, mousse peu persistante.
2.9 Nose. Flowers, fruits, yeast. Taste. The body is dense, pleasant. The taste is sweet, fruity and a bit candy. The aftertaste is light bitterness.
2.9 Golden colour, with a thin white head. Bitter aroma. Simple taste with lots of alcohol, not very pleasant.
2.0 Clear golden, rich head, soon gone. Harsh alcohol. No aroma. Nothing. Sorry Heineken Duvel rules.
3.3 Not he cheapest beer in the supermarket but it is worth its price. Good color nice taste and doesnt taste really alcoholic, i’ll buy it again.
3.7 Golden orange color with a white head. Spice funk aroma. Spice orange zest flavor. Medium body.
