1.0 Can from a local off licence on discount because he couldn’t sell the shit. Golden beer with large head. Aroma of light weetabix. Taste is water seeped through grain and sweet malt. Well compared to the Eastern European Alcohol free beers this is completely shit. Horrible stuff.
1.1 From Alcampo. In Ikea?s pilsner glass. At lunch, with 3 delight rice. Really bad low alcohol brew. The artificial disgusting touch of many in this style is at its peak here
2.4 Creme soda pour, 2 finger off white head. Nose is caramelized grain. Bittersweet. Middle is slightly dry with toffee and roasted grain. Finish is bittersweet, little watery. Not bad for an NA beer.
3.0 I’ve been cutting back on alcohol all month and decided to try some NA beers. This wasn’t too bad and had the most flavor out of all that I’ve tried so far. Aroma of coffee and malt. Pour was a medium gold with a thin off white film for a head. Taste was burnt toffee, stale coffee and hints of caramel in the finish. Very strong biting carbonation.
1.4 Bottle. Pours golden with a frothy off white head. Weird aroma of musty bread and hay. Sharp acidic citrus taste with stale bread in the after taste. Very thin and watery with high carbonation. Unpleasant.
2.0 Courtesy of Waterfront, Market Harborough. Sieht aus wie lift-Apfelschorle. Am Anfang Citrusaroma, im Abgang leicht malzig. Erfrischend, könnte man aber auch mit malzigen Sprudelwasser verwechseln, starker Kohlensäureanteil.
1.3 Bottle courtesy of Mom. Pours a clear golden with big frothy head. Mouthfeel is grainy and thin with notes of old paper, grains, cereal and vague spice.
1.8 Bottle. Clear golden yellow color, white coca cola head. Aroma of cereal. Taste has sweet corn flakes. Weird.
0.9 Bottle. Clear golden pour with a big white head. konbu, cardboard, caramel, perfume, Japanese plum. Light but strong carbonation. Funny dried seaweed taste.
1.5 Grabbed a quick bottle during work am I really purposely paying good money for this tick sometimes this hobby is dumb. Pours dark golden with thin sudsy head. Nose is corn grains and stale hops. Tastes of sweet corn, light malt, cardboard, raisins. Sweet with ok palate.
1.4 Malt heavy aroma and taste, but thin mouthfeel, not very interesting. I would prefer water.
0.8 440ml can, BB April 2015, no ABV details. A desaturated orange colour, slightly sparkling, clear, very small white head with some thin lacing. Aroma is vegetal, syrupy, soup that’s been sat in a pan for a week, marmite. Body is medium to light, slightly foamy, low carbonation. Taste has more vegetable, potato starch, pasta, water. Utterly shit.
2.2 Clear copper color white head. Musty aroma. Taste is sweet caramel, candy licorice and unfermented malted barley wort.
1.2 11.2 oz. bottle from Cash Wise in Watford. Appearance: 2 fingers wwhite head, caramel gold, clear, good lacing. Aroma: mashed malt is about the only aroma. Palate: light body, average carbonation, thin watery texture. Taste: watery thin into mash taste that is really not pleasant sweet. Overall, horrible taste! Horrible!
0.8 "wow...i wouldn’t think that a non-skunky beer could even possibly be near the bottom of the barrel. there’s some foul crap down there...but this beer belongs there all the way. they somehow managed to mess up the muddled malt flavor (the only flavor there) so badly that it’s just horrid to taste. the aroma is a touch better, still crap. the look is better than the worst, but this over gassy beer sucks. "
3.4 330 ml bottle into lager glass, bottled on 4/13/2014. Pours fairly crystal clear deep golden amber color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers, Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of cracker, toast, biscuit, caramel, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of bready malt and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of cracker, toast, cereal, caramel, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Minimal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of cracker, toast, cereal, herbal, and grass on the finish for a very short bit. Okay flavor balance and robustness of bready malt and earthy hop flavors; with a dry finish and zero lingering flavors. Pretty bland/watery on flavors but not horrible. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and dry mouthfeel that is good. Overall this is a pretty solid low alcohol beer. Solid balance and robustness of bready malt and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. Considering the style, this was pleasant and quite enjoyable.
1.5 Pour from a 12oz bottle. Pale amber brew with white head. Aroma of sorghum molasses, taste is the same. Interesting beverage but not a good imitation lager.
2.6 Once poured into a pint glass and also poured into a pilsener glass. There really wasn’t any difference. The rest of the appearance had a clear yellow color with a fair amount of carbonated bubbles lingering to the top at a decent rate. Head? What head? Yeah, not really there. The smell left a lot to be desired but had a light sweet corn aroma. The taste was mainly just sweet through that sweet corn and that’s it. On the palate, this one sat about a super light with a decent sessionability about it depending upon how many one really wants to have, I mean, well, it is a low alcohol beer for a reason. Overall, everything’s already been said, low alcohol beer and one to me that is good for the style but one I most likely wouldn’t seek out again.
1.3 Bottle. Pours a hazy amber color with a moderate off white head on there. Nose has earth, dirt and yeast in there and doesn’t seem like a very good drink. Taste is much thr same with little to like or appreciate. Ugh.
2.2 The body had a nice light honey color with a small creamy off white colored head. The head fades quickly leaving nothing behind. Its aroma was light and somewhat buttery. I also picked up sweet bready notes. It’s flavor has a light body and a thin watery texture with odd buttery and grainy flavored malt. Also there is a mild and bland over cooked hop flavor that sneaks into the finish. The carbonation is lifeless and almost flat.
3.0 12oz bottle. Oh the stories but who cares? Malty nose. Sip is nutty. Better than I barely remember. Just might jump start my n/a kick until child #3 pops out. For an n/a lots of flavor. Best n/a by a long shot.
1.1 Dirty bronze pour with a 1 finger, creamy off white head. Aroma is weird grainy sweetness, like sorghum, buckwheat, rice and corn all boiled together. Flavor is pretty much the same, but with a strong metallic taste. Light body, dry feel, medium carbonation. Nothing good here, unless you really like sorghum.
2.8 Found one of these in my father in laws fridge so figured I’d give it a try. Pours clear light golden color with white head. Light grainy aroma some vanilla. Light crisp malty flavor with caramel notes and creamy vanilla finish. For what it is it’s not bad.
2.6 This stuff is not altogether bad. It doesn’t quite taste like real beer but it’s kinda close. It’s orange golden in color and there is a small head of medium bubbles. It kind of smells and tastes like malta mixed w/ soda water so maybe a little unfermented but at least not too sweet. It’s medium bodied and prickly carbonation keeps it from being sluggish on the palate. I am not sure it’s fair to judge this stuff as beer but as a substitute, it does well enough.
0.5 @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear medium amber with a thin rim head, no lace. Very still. Taste is weak malt joined quickly by carbonation. This, unlike a couple of other NA examples, tastes like watered down lager. There is nothing present to save it. This one should be avoided.
1.1 Bottle, I drew the short straw and was the sober cab. The host got a six of this for me. I had three quarters of one and switched to water for the rest of the night.
1.2 Bottle pour, at work. Big white head over golden body, decent lacing. Aromas malt, very faint citrus. Flavor light malt, minerals, almost no hops. Finish is slightly sour. Palate is thin, carbonation ok.
0.9 440ml can at alcohol-free Friday tasting. I can honestly say that this is, without a shadow of a doubt, the worst thing I have ever put in my mouth.
3.1 Reviewed from notes verbatim on 10/7/10 A: Thin soapy film of white foam over a golden to amber ale with excellent clarity. No lacing. S: Smells like orange pekoe and hints of tomato. Herbal, sweet, fruity. I like it. T: Sweetened, soft white bread with a thin sheet of tomato paste over the top. A sweet beer. I like for an afternoon quencher. M: Bubbly, light and falls over the tongue and burns the tongue a hint. Okay. D: Nice Non-Alc. Best I’ve had. Serving type: bottle 03-18-2011
