Kalnapilis 7.30

Kalnapilis 7.30

Strong, pale beer. During the process of deep fermentation well-matured hops and light coloured malt result in full-bodied, slightly sweetish taste and mellow aroma of 7.30. Our strongest beer, Kalnapilis 7.30, has an especially strong aroma. The distinct flavour marvellously matches the higher volume of alcohol. A mug of pale, cold Kalnapilis 7.30 is for those looking for a stronger impression.

2.6 Can from WB Stores, West From. Golden beer with large lively head. Aroma of malts, sweetcorn and some herb. Taste is pretty much the same with some dry grass. Not bad.
1.8 16.9oz bottle. This is some seriously disgusting stuff, though pretty accurate for the weird oddball cheap style variations of Eastern Europe. Not unlike a Mocne if you will, but a little less disgusting sweet caramel. Cheap and bad, something that tastes like it was brewed in an engine. Horrendous shit, the kind of stuff that makes me roll my eyes when people speak well of the Lithuanian beer world.
2.0 Puszka 500ml. Jasno-zloty kolor. Piana biala srednia, opada dosc szybko. Napisy na puszce informuja o "quality bock beer" co wzbudza smiech lub politowanie. W zapachu pusto ze az wieje. W smaku slody...slodka kukurydza i bida ..no i alkohol daje po kubkach smakowych.
3.5 Can from Baltika, Upperton Rd, Leicester. Can’t believe the low scores, this is really good. Creamed orange, barnacled wardrobe wood lightness. Boozy, but air freshener light. Quite well balanced and refreshing. Pasteurisation does wonders for this. Faith restored.
3.1 Bottle labeled Kalnapilis Bock. Had Saturday at a Grad party for a family that had many Lithuanian relatives there. One had brought this. Drank from the bottle. I believed it was brownish in color since I was tasting some chocolate and caramel. Plenty of malt in this. Nice!
3.0 Bottle. Lemon, biscuit malt, and astringent hay aroma. Golden yellow with nice white head. Moderately sweet lemon, cardboard, biscuit malt and mildly bitter herbal hay flavor. Decent body. My bottle was a bit oxidized but not too bad. Pleasant - minimal harshness/fusels in this one.
2.8 Can. Picked up in Walthamstow, near my sister’s place Bock-pilsner seriously, what? Magnum hops on the front. It could do with some more. And Saaz. Lots of lovely Saaz. Big pilsner malt backbone. Way over-carbonated. Pastuerised. Far too heavy. White lacing simmers down quickly. Grass, straw, some petrol and iodine on aroma. Taste is pislner malt, lemons, straw, sherbet sweets. Some good body but the pasteurisation is ruining it for me. It’s industrial and it’ll sell well. Would be nice to try unpastuerised. Pastuerisation sucks.
2.6 Labeled as Bock. Nice golden pour with a quickly disappearing white head. Aroma of grains. Flavor is slightly sweet malt. For what it is not bad
2.2 Almost nonexistent aroma of grains. Clear, pale yellow body, white head. Mellow bitterness in the taste, short cardboard finish. The alcohol is well hidden for the percentage.
2.3 Can from Continental Food Store, Wakefield. Golden with next to no head. Ordinary lager, although not feeling the strength of which it is named after. Has a small bubblegum sweetness throughout its character.
3.3 From Festival de las Naciones. In Paulaner glass. Watching Vikings 3x10. Nice and very drinkable, although it doesnt have any resemblance to what I thought it was a bock (Im thinking in La Trappe’s one) Its more like a strong euro lager.
1.9 22 oz bottle poured in a big mug bought at Polish market (as Kalnapilis Bock). Pours medium gold. Little head. Initial flavor is normal, a bit carbonated, slightly metallic. Finish when cold is pretty clean. However, when warm it is very strong and reeks of cheap adjunct. Below average. I would say this is more of a malt liquor than Imperial Pils, but that’s a very thin distinction.
2.2 Clear classic golden with a thick, bumpy white head. Corn and green grape on the nose. Smooth and full with light carbonation. Flavor approximates the nose.
2.3 DWFIV; Can 0, 5l. Pours clear golden with a moderate to large frothy, moderate lasting and lacing white head. Aroma is malt, hay, light vegetable and spice. Taste is moderate sweet and bitter with a short to moderate lasting finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Strong pale or bock, I dont think so.
2.3 From a bottle. Pours hazy apricot gold with a bubbly white head. Tastes like bitter dry straw, soda, and very musky malt with some dried fruit. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like grass, straw, and musky doughy malt.
1.9 Bottle. Pours mostly clear gold with fizzy white head. Aroma is biscuit and cereal malts, faint grassy hops, and some lager yeast notes. Flavor is dry malt profile, lager yeast esters, and faint light fruit notes; dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation.
2.8 (bottle - 500 ml) Under Bock label. Cloudy gold with a thin white head. Mildly sweet aroma with some corn and grassy hops. Flavor is a bit sweet at the start with a dry and bitter finish. Nothing out of the ordinary really.
2.6 Bottled 500ml. -from Iki supermarket Vilnius. Clear golden coloured, medium sized white head, whiff of alcohol in the nose. Sweet malty, light bready and faint fruity with sweetish finish. Ok one, not offensive and not so alcoholic ESL.
3.0 Presentation: It was poured from a brown 500ml. bottle into a pint glass. Appearance: It had a pale, light golden yellow color with a tall foamy head. The head is just off white in color and it fades quickly, leaving some lace behind. Smell: The aroma is strong and full of floral and some grassy hops. Also in the nose there are light grainy adjunct notes. Taste/Mouth feel: Hop and malt flavors are light but there is a decent bitterness and a noticeable grain alcohol presence. It had a light body with a thin watery texture and its carbonation was light to average. Notes: This is a very basic or average strong Euro Lager.
2.3 Golden color with intense aroma of honey and caramelized grain. Starts with a toasted nutty flavor and finishes with a citrus and vanilla aftertaste.
3.2 50cl bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - golden with steady bubbles, some head. Nose - lemon barley water. Taste - more of the the same with a bit of grassy herbaceousness on the finish. Palate - light to medium bodied with a decent texture and a dry finish. Overall - a solid one-dimensional beer but very happy to drink it.
3.0 500ml bottle at home. Pours clear gold, thin white head. Aromas of lemon barley water, slight herbal note, light booze. Taste is malty and white-sugar sweet. Light body, oily texture. Sticky finish. OK.
3.1 a very sweet and malty beer on taste! the smell is also quite sweet and malty....this beer has low hops though
1.7 500ml can, kindly shared by djoeye. Frothy white head, dissipating. Lacing rings down the glassware. Pale golden body. Vague grassy nose, vapour of alcohol. Mid-dry flavours of grainy malts and a little touch of fruits. Ends up with sweet metallic alcohol. Drain pour (Tromsø 17.01.2014).
1.8 50 cl alu-can 7.3%abv b@supermarket in Marijampole Lithuania. Diminishing off-white head on pale golden body. Berries, fruits, sweet malt, and alcohol to the nose. Malt, spirited malt to the tongue. Tendencies to dryness to palate. Finally sweet bread, and that was it, a boozer. Wanted: hops! Enjoyed@BalticRateMeet with Rune 2014-jan-17
3.1 Following a Baltic porter, this isn’t as bad as the scores and reviews would lead you to believe. Grain sweetness prevails, aroma is wheat and some citrus. Taste is mostly white bread, with a hint of citrus. No alcohol burn as would be expected. Better than rated.
2.5 Flaske delt med Willy (som hadde den med fra Vilinus) og Egil: lite aroma, og en smak som minner meg om polske øl - kan det være humlen? En ok eksportøl som man ville sagt før, men heller ikke noe mer.
2.6 .5l bottle from alko muurame Pours clear golden with medium high, big bubbled white head. Aroma is alcohol, grass, malts and hops. Flavor is mostly same. Alcohol bites a bit too much.
2.1 Clear yellow body with medium head. Aroma is grainy. Flavor is malt, booze, sweet. Not great.
2.8 Pale Yellow Color, Small Head, Decent Lacing. Straw aroma. Grainy, Malt, Slightly Sweet, Modestly Bitter Finish. Medium Body and carbonation. A lot smoother and not as sweet as Kalnapilis 7:30, which makes easier to drink, although both of them have same ABV. Nothing too bad, nothing too memorable. Decent for what it is. Earlier Rating: 6/27/2013 Total Score: 2.5 Pale Clear Yellow, Small Head, Almost no Lacing. Straw aroma. Taste about same: sweet straw, malts, light bitter and alcohol zing. OK for what it is. Although I’m not sure of its purpose. Then again, this is not exactly my favorite style.
