Karbach Hopadillo IPA

Karbach Hopadillo IPA

Copper in color with ruby highlights, this Texas IPA has a strong citrus aroma with hints of earthiness and spice from the added European hops. Light berry fruits are perceived before giving way to citrusy hop character. Dry and quenching, this IPA is dry-hopped for added aromatic intensity.

3.7 Amber pour, massive off white head. Pine, grapefruit, hops, malty backbone, caramel, citrussy aroma. Medium sweet, almost full on bitter. Medium bodied with average fizz. Mighty tasty, beautifully bitter, well crafted west coast style IPA.
3.5 Clear copper with a white head. Aroma is piney, citrus, floral and caramel. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter.
5.0 One of the best IPA’s I’ve had, lots of flavor (3 different hops used).
3.5 Canned from Walmart. Citric hop character up front. Bitter grapefruit peel with a little hint of sweetness. Good and clean.
3.7 16 oz can at Austin City Limits. Pours a pale amber with a dense white head. Tons of lacing. Big citrus fruit scents. Juicy flavors with a dry mouthfeel. Excellent IPA.
3.2 [12oz can from Total Wines, Naples, FL.] A golden amber pour with a tight cream coloured head; malty aroma; piney bitterness to start, then a caramel and malt body with some earthiness and spice; before a rather hopless finish with some berry fruit. Reminds me more of an ESB than an IPA.
3.4 zapach intensywny, tropiki, cytrusy, klasyka ipy i sporo kwiatów, trochę alkoholu. kolor złoty, głęboki, klarowny. piana biała, średnia, średnio długa. w smaku półpełne, karmelu sporo, skórki z cytryny, dużo ziół i owoców, klasyczna, amerykańska ipa. goryczka dość wysoka, piołunowa, cytrusowa, średnio długa, lekko alkoholowa, porządna. nasycenie umiarkowane.
3.5 Frisch gezapft. Klar und golden mit kleiner Schaumkrone. Hopfig. Blumiges Aroma. Herb. Erfrischend. Gut trinkbar.
2.7 Draft in Houston. Clear amber body, small white head. The aroma and taste are both quite weak but refreshing.
3.7 Pretty decent and standard classic IPA. Semi-dry, lean bodied, with a hop forward nose and flavor, a lot of citrus and pine resin. Moderate bitterness. Good enough,
4.0 Très amère et dense. Difficile d’apprécier la saveur citrique forte amertu
4.7 One of the BEST. All I drink is IPA’s, I Microbrew my own! Wish I could get this back home!
3.3 Aroma of apple, honeydrw and hop acid. Taste is grapefruit and orange rind with some fruitiness.
3.7 Orange beer with almost white good and stable head. Aroma has grapefruit, taste has grapefruit, caramel and good bitterness. Fresh and delicious. Long and bitter finish. Medium+ body.
3.5 12 oz can with a 26 April 2019 in March 2019. Pours with a durable, frothy, white head and a deep amber body. Excellent clarity. Complex flavor and aroma. Mild bitterness up front but it leaves a quite bitter aftertaste. Some bready grain flavors. Alcohol is surprisingly obvious in the aroma.
3.5 Darker in color, closer to amber. Can’t quite place the flavor, pleasing, not citrusy...could be the armadillo !?!
3.2 Gylden brun klar med høyt beige skum. Lukter karamell, honningmelon, noe pepper og paprika. Middels fylde og bitterhet. Ren, med noe chili i avslutningen.
3.3 Good ipa not hoppy at all. Mildly sweet with malt. Easy to drink. Nothing too fantastic. Ian
3.4 2/17/18. Can I believe I scooped up at a Buckee's. Amber pour with a small khaki head. Some citrus and pine on the aroma. Doughy pale malts and some caramel on the flavor with citrus and a touch of pine and resin. Not bad.
3.5 50cl can purchased at H-E-B in Houston, TX. Houston, December 2018.
3.6 12oz can at home. Beautiful crystal clear copper with a lasting off-white head and good lacing. Citrus fruit and resiny pine, caramel with light sweetness. Medium carb and body. L Long, bittering finish. Very tasty.
3.7 Draft at Mad Dogs, San Antonio, TX, USA. Pours partially hazy, light amber, limited foam. Aroma is malty, sweet citrus, some caramel. Body is pretty dense with good carbonation. Taste is dominantly bitter, with some clear sweetness behind. Finish is long and bitter.
4.3 I am normally not a big fan of IPA, but this is good. I will be buying it.
3.3 Ticking the friendly skies at Houston airport. Clear copper with a lasting one finger white head and loads of bubbles. So bubbly it's almost like THE bubbly, aka champagne. Oh there’s champagne in the champagne room, but you don't want champagne, you want ticks. And there are NO TICKS in the United Club at IAH. Not without paying at least. I pretty much had a sign around my neck saying "will pay for ticks" so the bartender knew what was up: my tick count! Because this was a tick! Probably the first tick I've had from the brewery that's named after what you want when your car is impounded. Anyway, the aroma is redolent of slightly above average IPA. Orange and grapefruit with a grassy/earthy note as well. The flavor has sweet sugary malt and average hop bitterness, good citrus and earth. Medium body, reasonably lively feel. Decent but it didn't blow me away. I mean, it's not Hurricane Harvey (sorry Houstonians, too soon?) or Hurricane Harvey Weinstein (sorry Hollywooders, too soon?). But I'm not ready to endorse this brewery as legit quite yet. Sorry tickers, too soon.
3.9 Draft at Harrison's Landing. 108 People's street T-Head, Corpus Christi, TX 361-881-8503 It poured amber color with an off-white head and minimal lacing. It is very Hoppy with citrus grapefruit peel and orange zest along with some floral notes. It is well balanced and not too bitter even at 70 IBUs.
3.8 On tap. Amber in color with average sized white head. Citrusy hoppy aroma. Mellowly bitter with citrus presence. Pretty good.
3.4 Can. Practically clear, deep golden body under a nice, dense off-white head. Aroma is fruity hoppy with oranges and a decent malty base. Flavor has also a good, medium sweet maltbase, a little bread and fruity hops, hint of oranges, some grassy bitterness but not particular bitter. Balanced body and OK aftertaste. A decent IPA indeed, rather classic, but I expect this one to be close to the best before date.
3.6 Can from Craft Beer Cellar, New Orleans. Fruity and resinous hops with malt, grapefruit, pine, hint of berries and caramel. Mild sweet and medium bitter. Body is medium. Enjoyable resinous IPA.
3.7 Light amber, cloudy with a thick head and a hoppy nose. Well-carbonated with a medium palate and a bittersweet, hoppy, grapefruit finish.
3.5 Draft... Pours sparkling clear and amber with a medium-sized, foamy, white head. The aroma features grapefruit, pine, toasted malts and a plethora of spicy, peppery Euro-hops. Full-bodied with tingly carbonation. The flavor is a mélange of bitter and spicy noble hops, grapefruit piths, toasted grains and pine resin. Lengthy, medium to heavily bitter, raspy, dry finish.
