0.8 Very dissapointed with this IRA...poor character...better drink it cold....dull beer...
3.1 Draft at the brewery in LA. Clear red with a minimal head. Aroma is nice, toffee, cherry. Flavor is sweet, red fruit. No bitterness. Medium body, smooth clean feel. Decent
3.5 Sampled @ my one and only THT 2018. Nice reddish color, small white to off-white head. Smell and taste malts, caramel, caramelised sugars, honey, light piney, lightly sweet. Interesting.
4.5 The Hague Tasting - 13 July 2018 Great reddish brown color with a spot on traditional Irish red taste and finish.
3.2 July THT. Pours a clear amber with an off-white head. Raisins, sweet malts, grass.
3.5 Bottle shared at THT actually July! Clear reddish amber with beige head. Sweet malts, light roast, raw cocoa, soft grassy herbs. Nice clear red ale malts. Medium sweet and light bitter. Medium bodied with oily feel.
3.3 THT July at Kwartje. Bottle. Clear amberish with thin white head. Sweet malts, caramel, rye, honey, light cardboard. Moderate sweet and bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation.
3.8 Malty caramel
3.5 I had this at Karl Strauss. Pours amber with a white head. Taste toffee, malt, sweet. I thought this was good. I would drink this again.
3.8 Terrific body, color and aroma, but (as with many American ales) the brewer lets the hops do too much of the work. If a good English real ale (say, Green King's Abbot Ale from St. Edmundsbury) is a veritable symphony orchestra of flavor, by comparison this one is a kazoo solo. This company ought to bring Vinnie Cilurzo back to SoCal to show them how it's done, the Blind Pig Bitter he used to brew in Temecula is the only convincing English-type drink I've ever had in this corner of the world.
4.2 Pours a copper color with a tan head. Malty aroma. Sweet caramel and toffee flavor with a smooth finish, just the right amount of hops bitterness. Excellent.
4.0 beer...good
2.6 Astringent and tight. Currants and black currant and quite warming. But a little acrylic for my tastes.
4.1 A beautiful rush toffee flavour with 5.8% alcohol. Smooth and clean. A nice drinking beer with very interesting flavours
3.3 Draft at KS in San Diego. Reddish brown. Malty, toffee, and smooth easy drinking. Not bad.
3.5 Cerveza Irish Red Ale ABV 5.8% IBU 17 Color Ámbar Rojizo, bastante clara, aromas moderados a malta, ligeros tonos a caramelo Sabores a malta un tanto dulces. Cuerpo ligero, suave espuma y carbonatacion.
3.5 Keg at DomCraft, Uppsala. Clear amber, rich firm head. Bready, fruity nose. Mid sweet with light body and well rounded mouthfeel. Fruity and bready, notes of raisin and grass. Mid bitter finish. Well brewed.
3.6 On tap at domcraft. Ruby red with quick beige head. Aroma and taste are malty, clean , toffee, malt sugars with low bitterness.
Bouteille 36cl (12fl.oz), V&B Grenoble.
3.4 Draught at Karl Strauss, Carlsbad. Clear orange colored with a small off-white head. Fruity aroma of caramel, hops and biscuits. Fruity flavor of caramel, hops, bread and biscuits. Hoppy finish.
3.5 Medium body malt profile, low on the hops. Decent beer, quite simple, would be great with more complexity. Karl Strauss SD.
3.6 Aroma: walnuts, malt Taste: this beer is all about malt. Rather sweet beer with interesting notes of nuts and cream. Easy drinkable
2.3 Duft svag duft kant af karamel malt smag maltet karamel malt lidt sødme rosin
3.8 Una Irish Ale de color rojizo de poca carbonatacion y espuma. Aroma a lucuma con notas de manzana verde. Sabor redondo y equilibrado a lucuma con notas cremosas y lácteas. Impecable!!
3.5 ONe of the better irish reds. Smell aof copper and gentle english style floral hops. Lightly toasted and sweet. Very nice finish. Light body. Not overly flavorfull.
3.2 On tap at Karl Strauss. Fruity aroma with pepper. Creamy malty taste. Fruity hoppy notes too.
3.3 Bottle pour - barely a layer of foam. Sweet malty aroma with flavors of caramel and raisins.
4.4 I really enjoyed this one! Maybe it is because I’m Irish. Loads of toffee and caramel malt lend to prune flavors. Whispy tan head supported above a rich copper color. Pass me the corned beef for this one.
