De Export Porter 1750 is een stevige Imperial Russian Stout. Gebrouwen naar een oud Engels recept uit 1750. Donker, bijna zwart van kleur. Zwaar moutig en in de geur tonen van koffie en bittere chocola. De naam van keizerin Catharina II van Rusland is onlosmakelijk met de stijl verbonden. Van haar werd gezegd dat ze bijzonder tuk geweest zou zijn op de Britse producten en dus ook de massale import ervan zou hebben bevolen’.

3.7 Canned 0,33L. Dark brown color, light bubbly impression, creamy and escaping nut head. Aroma is moderate roasted with notes of chocolate, dark chocolate, dark sugar, raisin, braced wood. Sweet and fraught solid mouth, much smooth palate, intence alcoholic impression with notes of roasted, toasted, dark malt, chocolate and heavy sweet final.

4.0 Lata de 33 cl. Fecha de enlatado 07/07/21. Fecha de consumo preferente 08/2024. Color negro con carbonatación media y dos dedos de espuma que desaparece pronto. Aroma a café, chocolate, toffe, frutos secos. Sabor a chocolate negro, café, frutos secos, toffe, regaliz. Cuerpo medio alto, gran equilibro entre dulzor y amargor con un final amargo agradable, gran cerveza, excelente imperial porter.

3.0 Dåse: Kulsort olieret øl med et lille skumhoved. Duften er ekstrem sød kakao med let kaffe. Smagen er dog ikke balanceret. Sød med sød på. Alkoholen er dominerende over kakaoen og kaffen. Ikke så god.

4.0 330ml can bought from Optimism and drunk at home. Salted caramel, dustings of chocolate in the aroma. Incredible taste: sweet with a yeast extract savoury sourness, followed by a light balancing bitterness. More salted caramel and some Bovril on the aftertaste. Thick, soupy body with soft carbonation. Just an incredible strong porter.

4.6 Robe couleur pétrole très opaque avec une belle effervescence, une mousse dorée, un peu ocre et très persistante du plus bel effet. Côté nez, chocolat, café, caramel et toffee avec de beaux accents de pruneau et de kirsch. Première gorgée étonnante et complexe en bouche, une sensation étonnante de légèreté et de douceur que je n'avais jamais eu l'occasion de découvrir, on sent un bel alcool, comme une prune douce qui réchauffe et qui rend le breuvage rond et moelleux. Côté saveurs, c'est l'avalanche : du café, du toffee, du caramel, du chocolat, du pruneau, quelques accents de kirsch et quelques belles saveurs herbacées en fin de bouche, autant vous le dire tout de suite, c'est une bière de caractère, une bière qu'on oublie pas et qui ne laisse pas de marbre, une excellente découverte !! Bravo à la brasserie Brouwerij !!

3.6 Una birra molto forte dove si sente la gradazione alcolica, si sentono i malti tostati, il cioccolato e il caffè, molto particolare e decisa. Il mio palato non è abbastanza raffinato per capire questa birra. Nel complesso mi è piaciuta ma a mio parere è troppo forte il sentore d'alcool. Il colore è nero profondo con un cappello di schiuma marrone e al naso si sentono gli aromi tostati.

4.1 Lata 0,33l Color marron oscuro-negro, espuma color café, fina, alta, retencion media. Aroma malta tostada, café, chocolate, nueces, frutos secos. Sabor dulce domina, luego entra suave amargor, parece a aroma.

4.0 Tried this beer as a dessert today. Very surprising! Coffee it is! Dark brown but clear with light brown firm head. Taste remains for 15 minutes or ! When closer to ambient temperatures all aromas and tastes are duly explored. Sweet but not to sweet, itter but not to bitter, coffee but not too much. In combination with a good ice cream it's superb!

4.3 Una delle migliori porter provate se non la migliore. Birra colore nero impenetrabile, corpo pieno, morbida al palato con sapori equilibrati di caffè, vaniglia e cacao. Davvero ottima!!

3.8 Can. Jet black with a tan head. Aroma of toasted malt. Flavour is burnt malt, chocolate cream, dry smoke, burnt finish.

4.0 Nera, versa due dita di schiuma. Aroma di malto tostato, caffè e frutti scuri. In bocca marcati sentori di malto tostato seguiti da note di caffè e frutti scuri. Retrogusto amaro e speziato. Alcol ben nascosto. Corpo pieno e mouthfeel avvolgente quasi olioso. Ottima.

4.0 Robe noire sombre. Le nez laisse entrevoir le côté obscur mais reste mesuré. En bouche il y a de l'opulence, des notes torréfiées marquées, du chocolat et du café, le tout enrobé dans un corps imposant et une texture soyeuse, c'est du très bon.

3.6 Pours black or almost so, with a quite big per abv, frothy dark yellowish/light brown head. Good enough retention and nice lacing. A rather simple but pleasantly clean aroma with good enough intensity: roasted malts, coffee, bitter chocolate. Quite straightforward, but with a softish background feel. Taste notes follow the aroma closely, again with decent intensity and in a clean, well defined way. Medium sweet and medium to high bitter, with a balanced mouth and the slightest bitter edge in a semi-dry finish. Perfectly hidden abv. As the aroma suggested, it is a straighforward, classic strong porter, but with a bit of a soft feel to it, mostly due to its mouthfeel; quite dense in body, with vey light carbonation, resulting in a semi-creamy mouthfeel that feels rather easy for the abv. Overall, a well made and highly enjoyable strong porter.

3.5 Blik. Diepzwart bier, snel verdwijnende lichtbruin schuim. Aroma alcohol, koffie. In smaak overheerst alcohol niet, knap bij 10,5%. Lichtrood.

4.0 Can. Dark brown, almost perfectly black. Medium beige head, creamy and quite lasting. Moderate coffee nose, quite some chocolste, slight caramel and some dry fruits. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Sweet and dry fruit finish. Bittery aftertaste. Medium body, sticky, alcohol warmth.

4.4 I have bought this can at the sterk, at Amsterdam. Opening it, yesterday, at home, Epalinges, a good drink to forget this nightmare of covid-19. The body is black and opaque, normal carbonation, white and brown foam. A solid and powerful beverage, not something to become drunk but to enjoy at each sip. Personally, it is not really for me an export porter but it is rather an imperial stout with 10 degrees of alcohol, it is warm and well hidden, so aromatic, roasted malt, coffee, lovely note of cacao, chocolate, syrupy and intense, regular hop at the final, rather discreet or normal, side of vanilla, complex, not a cartouche pour les mioches.

4.0 Well balanced porter. Lightly roasted coffee tones. Somewhat grapefruit bitterness. Aftertaste with almond. I really enjoyed this one!

4.0 33cl can, held on it for almost one year. Pours pitch black, with no foam. Aroma is rich, with dark chocolate, a little vanilla, caramel. Body is fairly dense, still with average carbonation. A little stickiness. Taste is intensely sweet first, then with a nice roasty bitterness, which continues into the final.

4.2 Czarna barwa, niska piana. W smaku czekolada, wiśnia, niesamowity posmak kawy. Alkohol wyczuwalny, ale walory smakowe rekompensują ten fakt. Rewelacja.

3.8 (bottle 0,33l) Overall: Good, sweet, chocolate with some fruits. Aroma: Dark malts, licorice, chocolate, dried fruits. Appearance: Black. Minimal, brown head. Taste: Medium-very sweet, alcohol, caramel, toffee, chocolate, light roasty, later fruits, cherries, light fruity sourish. Palate: Medium-full body. Oily, sticky texture. Long alcohol warm, astringent finish.

4.3 Bière noire. Carbonation faible. Arôme de café, caramel, chocolat malté, contrasté en fin de bouche par une amertume tenace. La longueur en bouche est très agréable.

3.8 Can at home. Pours black withbeife head. Nose is dark chocolate,booze, earth and cocoa powder, kinda black ipa-ish. Taste is sweet notes of booze and chocolate, with hints of cocoa powder, earthy notes and a restrained yet definite bitterness that lasts well into the finish and mixes with the sweetness, resulting in a warming boozy, chocolate and coffee-like finish. Medium to havy bodied with soft carbonation.
